Abstract

Anxiety in communicating in public is a condition in which individuals feel unsafe or unpleasant, followed by physical and psychological reactions due to fears of not being able to adapt or deal with situations when speaking in public that arise before or during public speaking. in public. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of anxiety in communicating in public in adolescents before individual counseling is applied, to determine the implementation of individual counseling in the anxiety of communicating in public among adolescents, and to determine the description of anxiety in communicating in public in adolescents after counseling. individual. This research approach is a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods. The subjects of the study were 3 teenagers. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis techniques, the Miller and Huberman models, collected data, presented data, and reduced data. The results of this study indicate that the physiological aspects of anxiety in communicating in public in adolescents are shaking, palms are sweaty, heart rate is beating faster, regarding psychological aspects it is difficult to express words when speaking, difficulties in conveying messages smoothly, and from a behavioral aspect namely walking around the room, unable to sit for a long time. The implementation of counseling is carried out in three stages, namely the initial stage, the middle stage, the final stage, counseling is given 6x meetings, showing changes in reducing anxiety when speaking in public, the client is able to overcome situations that make him anxious and can be relieved by suggesting himself everything will be fine. fine.

Abstract

Individual counseling services using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to overcome adolescent bullying behavior in Taja Indah Village, Banyuasin Regency. The aim of this research is to find out how individual counseling services use CBT techniques as therapy to control adolescent bullying behavior. The approach needed in this research is to take advantage of a qualitative approach through descriptive research methods. The results of this study are a description of the behavior of adolescents, namely speaking harshly and belittling other people. Individual counseling with CBT techniques is known to master adolescent bullying behavior by going through several stages, namely stage one, second, third. The story of adolescent bullying behavior has changed where it is not rude to say harsh words anymore and does not belittle other people's direct application to teenagers who do bullying with several stages.

Abstract

esearch is a quantitative experimental research. The questionnaire is the first instrument in data collection by distributing a number of questions to ANDIKPAS regarding self-confidence. Meanwhile, the supporting methods are observation and documentation. The research subjects were ANDIKPAS in Class I LPKA Palembang totaling 8 people. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The results of this study found that the average on the Self Confidence pretest was 136.50, and decreased to 164.00 on the Self Confidence posttest or increased by 27.50. So there is a difference in the average Self Confidence before and after group counseling treatment, has a t count value of 5.811 > t table with df (0.05, 8) = 2.30, and Sig. = 0.001 which is less than 0.05, meaning that there is a difference in the average Self Confidence before and after group counseling. The correlation value of the pretest and posttest Self Confidence values ​​is 0.741, with a Sig value of 0.036. This means that there is a significant relationship between the pretest and posttest Self Confidence scores with the level of strong closeness. Group counseling using the REBT technique is effective in increasing ANDIKPAS self-confidence, increasing the abilities possessed by ANDIKPAS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pesan moral dalam film Mohon Doa Restu karya Ody C. Harahap menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos yang terdapat dalam film, serta mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai moral terkait hubungan keluarga, tanggung jawab, dan peran tradisi dalam kehidupan sosial budaya Indonesia. Sumber data primer berupa film Mohon Doa Restu, sementara data sekunder meliputi buku, jurnal, artikel, dan sumber online terkait semiotika dan tema penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi, termasuk analisis adegan dan dialog yang relevan. Analisis dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu denotasi (makna literal), konotasi (makna simbolis), dan mitos (makna budaya). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film ini menampilkan pesan moral tentang pentingnya restu orang tua, keikhlasan menerima takdir, serta komitmen dan tanggung jawab dalam hubungan. Film ini juga mencerminkan bagaimana nilai-nilai tradisional Indonesia, seperti harmoni keluarga dan toleransi, diperkuat melalui simbol-simbol visual dan verbal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan kajian moral dalam media komunikasi, khususnya film.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the description of the motivation to pray in RT.05 youth before implementing Al-Qur'an assisted group guidance, to find out the implementation of Al-Qur'an assisted group guidance to build motivation to pray in RT youth. 05, and find out the description of the motivation to pray for teenagers in RT.05 after the implementation of Al-Qur'an assisted group guidance. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. There were 10 subjects in this study, namely clients is NA, NS, AAR, MH, CW, SN, JA, AR, JR, DD. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this study prove that prior to the implementation of the group guidance process, it shows that the subject still rarely performs the five daily prayers and still does not apply sincerity to perform the prayer services and does not yet have a sense of responsibility as a servant of His. The implementation of this guidance is carried out in six meetings with four stages of guidance, namely the formation stage, the middle stage, the activity stage and the termination stage. An overview of the motivation to pray for adolescents in RT.05 after carrying out group guidance assisted by the Qur'an, which can be seen that the subject has started trying to change and perform prayers diligently and earnestly, research subjects who are increasingly willing to try to pray with confidence and study the religious sciences and learn about prayer.

Abstract

Social anxiety is an excessive fear of negative evaluation from others, resulting in avoidance and discomfort in social interactions. Therefore, efforts are needed to overcome the problem of social anxiety, through group counseling services using behavioral rehearsal techniques. This research aims to determine the description of social anxiety in students of the 2024 Islamic Counseling Guidance (BPI) study program, the application of group counseling services using behavioral rehearsal techniques, as well as the condition of social anxiety after the service is provided. This research is descriptive in nature with a qualitative approach, using interviews, observation and documentation as data collection tools. The research subjects were five students from the BPI study program. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The research results show that students' social anxiety is characterized by fear of negative evaluation, social avoidance, and discomfort in social situations. Group counseling using behavioral rehearsal techniques helps students identify the causes of anxiety and train courage through behavioral exercises and feedback. After counseling, there was a decrease in social anxiety, increased courage, and comfort in social interactions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of individual counseling services with positive reinforcement techniques in overcoming the aggressive behavior of visually impaired students in client "A" at SLB-A PRPCN Palembang. Aggressive behavior is behavior that involves the act of attacking, hurting, or harming another person, either verbally or physically. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach using a case study research method. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interview, and documentation methods. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used in this study is the data analysis method of Robert K Yin's case study. The results of the study showed that the aggressive behavior that existed in client "A" was the desire to hurt someone with objects, hurt others physically, the client also often spoke harshly, was angry uncontrollably, and often quarreled because he did not accept being reprimanded that he was doing something wrong. The results after being given the application of positive reinforcement, client "A" has had significant changes, namely where client "A" looks calmer and more patient in dealing with various situations. The client can distinguish between what is good and bad for him, as well as stay away from unhelpful behavior, such as insulting or pranking others. Based on the results of the application of individual counseling with positive reinforcement techniques to overcome aggressive behavior in client "A", it can be concluded that this technique is effective can overcoming his aggressive behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of reinforcement techniques in individual counseling as an effort to overcome antisocial behavior in adolescents. The main focus of this study is on a client with the initials “F,” an adolescent who exhibits symptoms of antisocial behavior such as noncompliance with social norms, isolation, and a tendency to defy authority. A qualitative approach was used in this study to explore the client's experiences and the effectiveness of the counseling techniques applied. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the client and direct observation of the client's daily behavior in their social context. The results of the study indicate that the application of reinforcement techniques, particularly positive reinforcement in individual counseling sessions, has a significant impact on reducing the client's negative behavior. This technique was able to increase clients' self-awareness of the consequences of their antisocial behavior and shape more adaptive responses in social interactions. In addition, positive reinforcement proved effective in increasing clients' motivation to change, building self-esteem, and improving social relationships with their surroundings. These findings underscore the importance of a counseling approach that focuses on reinforcing positive behavior, especially in dealing with cases of deviant behavior among adolescents. Thus, counselors are expected to integrate reinforcement techniques as an intervention strategy in individual counseling practice to support constructive and sustainable behavioral change.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in individual counseling to overcome specific phobias caused by verbal abuse. The focus of the study is on changes in negative thinking patterns and anxiety reactions experienced by clients after experiencing traumatic verbal abuse. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study technique on a client with the initials “N.” Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation during the counseling process, and analysis of documents related to the client's psychological history and development. Data analysis was conducted thematically with stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that CBT is effective in helping clients recognize and change irrational thought patterns that are the main triggers of specific phobia. Cognitive restructuring techniques were found to help clients re-evaluate negative beliefs about previously feared situations, while systematic desensitization enabled clients to confront their fears in a safe and controlled environment gradually. Significant reductions in anxiety symptoms were observed in each session, which also positively impacted the client's quality of life. The success of this intervention is supported by active client participation, social support from the immediate environment, and consistency in applying CBT techniques outside of counseling sessions. The conclusion of this study confirms that CBT is an effective intervention for treating trauma-based specific phobia resulting from verbal abuse and can be applied more widely in individual counseling practice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication strategies implemented by customer service personnel in achieving excellent service at the DJKA LRT Station in Palembang City. The research is based on the importance of high-quality public service in improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, particularly in the public transportation sector. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants included the station head, customer service staff, and passengers. The findings reveal that prior to the implementation of a structured communication strategy, customer service delivery was inconsistent and relied heavily on individual styles. After applying a public service communication strategy involving training, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and routine evaluations, significant improvements were observed, particularly in friendliness, responsiveness, information accuracy, and empathy. Effective communication strategies were found to strengthen relationships between staff and passengers and enhance the public image of the DJKA LRT service. Nonetheless, several challenges remain, including limited staff during peak hours and insufficient mastery of service information by some personnel. This study concludes that appropriate communication strategies play a vital role in achieving excellent service. The research recommends ongoing staff training, increased personnel deployment during high-traffic periods, and the integration of digital tools to support more efficient communication.
