Abstract

Tingkat sekolah dasar menjadi jenjang para anak untuk memulai pencarian ilmu untuk menuju jenjang yang lebih tinggi, penting sekali nilai-nilai dasar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari seperti edukasi pelestarian lingkungan diimplementasikan bagi siswa sekolah dasar.  Tujuan dalam kegiatan pengabdian memberikan edukasi pelestarian lingkungan melalui implementasi gaya komunikasi punk di SDN Branggahan Ngadiluwih Kediri. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research. Metode PAR dalam program edukasi pelestarian lingkungan ini ini berfokus pada pendidikan dasar siswa terhadap lingkungan dengan gaya pengajaran komunikasi yang menarik seperti komunikasi punk. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan siswa SDN Branggahan telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan berhasil. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan pemahaman para siswa siswa terkait cara penanaman dengan langsung mempraktikkan secara langsung di SDN Branggahan Ngadiluwih. The elementary school level is the level of children to start the search for knowledge to get to a higher level, it is very important that basic values in everyday life such as environmental conservation education are implemented for elementary school students.  The aim in the service activity is to provide environmental conservation education through the implementation of punk communication styles at SDN Branggahan Ngadiluwih Kediri. The method of implementing the service uses an educational lecture method with concrete examples of how to protect the environment that has been packaged in the form of attractive learning media and interspersed with punk communication styles to influence students of SDN Branggahan Ngadiluwih Kediri Regency. The results of community service activities with SDN Branggahan students have been carried out well and successfully. This is shown by the students' understanding of how to plant by directly practicing directly at SDN Branggahan Ngadiluwih.

Abstract

The Democratic Party in Indonesia, often the spread of hoaxes occurs especially in the mass media, this affects people's perceptions of elections and candidates who are contesting the election. Media is an important element in political communication and socialization, which can influence a person's political attitude. The media can influence the attitudes of novice voters and first-time voters. The purpose of this research is to examine the mass communication of the General Election Commission in the implementation of a clean democracy, especially for novice voters, and can be more responsible for actively participating in the implementation of future elections. This research uses qualitative research through observation, interviews and documentation at the Kediri Regency General Election Commission. The results of this study refer to mass communication which is the most important thing in disseminating election information, the efficiency of its dissemination must also use the right media. Communicator experts use media quickly and periodically that expand messages to inform, influence, or spur change. All of that becomes effective election socialization, but it must be under intensive supervision so that there is no misunderstanding in the delivery of information.

Abstract

Gender  tertanam dalam konstruksi sosial, budaya, agama, dan filosofi tertentu yang mengakui batas ruang dan waktu. Sedangkan gender sangat bergantung pada nilai-nilai sosial dan digunakan dalam konteks dan situasi. Ini bervariasi menurut jenis kelamin karena struktur sosial adalah proses yang panjang. Proses yang memiliki perbedaan gender adalah sosial, budaya, agama dan pemerintahan. Proses ini difasilitasi oleh kapitalis yang menciptakan konflik. Seperti pendakwah perempuan yang dijadikan komoditas di media massa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini menelaah tentang pendakwah perempuan di media massa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian studi literatur yang berkaitan dengan dakwah perempuan di media massa. Diyakini bahwa media mempengaruhi pembentukan ideologi dan masyarakat menerima begitu saja ideologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembentukan konstruksi perempuan di media massa, bukan hanya perempuan yang ditampilkan dari segi iklan dan pemberitaan, tetapi juga diselubungkan dalam bentuk komoditas berkaitan dengan dakwah, seperti program dakwah yang menampilkan perempuan dengan kriteria utama bukan dari kemampuan dan kualitas, akan tetapi dari segi tampilan, akan perempuan yang hadir mampu menghadirkan iklan yang masuk, seperti iklan kecantikan, iklan fashion, dan iklan lainnya. Maka media massa harus berkontribusi untuk memperluas pandangan perempuan dan mengubah citra perempuan. Setidaknya ada keseimbangan yang baik antara karakter laki-laki dan perempuan, tanpa memandang jenis kelamin sebagaimana dalam Hukum Islam terkait persamaan Gender, disebutkan dalam Al-Qur'an biasanya disebut sebagai individu yang bertakwa (mutaqqun), dan tidak ada perbedaan jenis kelamin, bangsa atau suku tertentu untuk mencapai mutaqqun sebagaimana disebutkan dalam surat Al Hujurat ayat 13.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurred in early March 2020, the Indonesian people were shocked by the Corona pandemic outbreak, this outbreak originating from China, finally infecting Indonesian society. Broadcast media, both television and radio, are competing to broadcast the Corona outbreak. Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) East Java as an independent state institution participates in overcoming panic and efforts to prevent the Corona outbreak. The purpose of this study is to describe and find out the communication strategy of the KPID East Java in preventing the spread of the Corona outbreak. The theory used is the analysis of The Pervasive Presence. The method used is qualitative using a phenomenological approach. The results of this study found that the communication strategy of the KPID East Java in dealing with the spread of the Corona outbreak consisted of three strategies, namely by live talk shows on television and radio, distributing circulars to radio and television broadcasting institutions throughout East Java via email and WhatsApp, and publication of information through social media and public sphere, namely the KPID East Java Instagram. These three communication strategies are part of the task of the KPID East Java in supervising broadcasting institutions and media literacy to the public.

Abstract

Social media has an important role in socializing the 2024 elections. The 2024 elections cannot run well if there are no stages carried out beforehand. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach, through a process of direct observation and interviews at the Kediri District General Election Commission. The impact of communication through social media in increasing participation in the 2024 General Election is known that the number of voter participation has increased significantly to 83.75 percent in Kediri District. With the number of beginner voter participation consisting of generation Z and Millennial Generation almost 50%. The details of Generation Z reached 212,585 people, and the Millennial Generation reached 372,022 people.

Abstract

This study explores the role of the 2024 Kediri Regency General Election Commission (KPU) regional election mascot, Si Nara Singa, as a medium of public communication. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were collected through documentation, observation, and interviews. To analyze the symbolic and communicative aspects of the mascot’s design, the study applies Stuart Hall’s theory of representation. The findings offer a deeper understanding of how the mascot functions as an effective tool in disseminating information and engaging the public. The research draws upon two main data sources: primary data obtained from interviews, and secondary data from relevant literature and official documents. The KPU of Kediri Regency recognizes the strategic importance of public communication, particularly in the context of the 2024 general and local elections. Through initiatives such as traditional cultural art performances and the mascot parade (Kirab Maskot), the KPU leverages Si Nara Singa across multiple communication platforms to enhance transparency and boost voter participation. Overall, the mascot serves not only to represent the institution’s identity but also to foster emotional connection and active civic engagement within the local community.

Abstract

The development of technology in the world has led to a new transformation in the form of artificial intelligence technology, commonly known as artificial intelligence (AI). The presence of AI is certainly a challenge for media actors or journalists, it can be able to facilitate but also pose a threat. The purpose of this research is to examine the role of AI for Kediripedia Journalists. Research on the use of artificial intelligence for Kediripedia.com journalists uses descriptive qualitative research methods. In this case, qualitative data is realized through descriptive sentences, and in-depth explanations through the process of data collection techniques from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study state that AI plays an important role in the news production process, but in reporting news to Kediripedia journalists still prioritize good values, as required by Islam such as providing good and correct news information, as a unifier of society or not reporting that tends to divide society, and upholding Islamic values according to the Islamic syiar that was recommended by the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Abstract

This research describes and analyzes the pattern of gender relations of women’s activities in the production process of radio broadcast programs on Andika FM and Bonansa FM radio in Kediri City and the factors that influence women’s access and control in the production process of radio broadcast programs. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach in which the data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method utilized is gender analysis, known as the Harvard gender analysis method, or Gender Framework Analysis (GFA). Based on the study results, it can be concluded that women are actively involved in various radio activities at Andika FM and Bonansa FM. Women’s activities in multiple roles encourage changes in gender relations at the local cultural level, from the subordinate position of women to a more equal relationship. Women’s activities in the radio world have reached the stage of providing broad access for women to manage the radio, design and determine broadcast content, and produce radio programs. Factors influencing women’s access and control in the production process of radio programs at Andika FM and Bonansa FM radio include education level, company leadership policies, and awareness of gender equality between men and women.

Abstract

Becomes a media platform used by government agencies in the delivery of information. Ahead of the election, the KPU of Kediri Regency intensively socialized the election to increase community election participation. The purpose of this research is to provide assistance to participants in the process of producing news published through the website platform. The method used in this assistance is the Participatory Action Research method. Through the PAR method, this program focuses on honing the potential of students in writing news through a website platform. The results of this mentoring activity are that participants are able to understand website news, provide motivation to participants in writing website news, and are able to write website news for the KPU of Kediri Regency within the time frame of August to October 2023 with a total of 24 website news.

Abstract

Building self-confidence in the midst of body shaming or physical abuse in the name of a joke without thinking about someone's feelings. Without realizing it is a form of physical humiliation. The concept of confidence in the movie Imperfect by accepting conditions and being yourself without listening to what others say. The purpose of this research is to find out how a woman builds self-confidence in the midst of society's unreasonable beauty standards. The method used in this research is the skinative method. This research uses narrative analysis with social construction theory. Researchers obtained data from literature studies both through articles, journals, books and the internet. This movie describes the self-confidence race that grows in Rara. Researchers found scenes of insecurity in the process of self-acceptance. There are 11 scenes with two sub-materials found by researchers, starting with Rara, who is not confident in herself to Rara's self-acceptance process because of being grateful for whatever her body condition is.
