Abstract

One of the keys to successful pakcoy hydroponic cultivation is nutrition. In addition to AB Mix nutrients, sources of nutrients from single fertilizers, compound fertilizers, and foliar fertilizers can also be used as hydroponic nutrition alternatives. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction of nutrient treatment and foliar fertilizer concentration, to obtain the best type of nutrition, and to obtain the best concentration of foliar fertilizer on growth and yield of pakcoy with the NFT hydroponic system. This research was carried out in greenhouse of Polihidro Farm, Lampung State Polytechnic in June-August 2022. This research used Split Plot Randomized Block Design with the main plot, namely type of nutritions consist of AB Mix 10 ml.l-1 (N1) nutrients, NPK 16 - 16 – 16 2.5 g.l-1 (N2), and nutrients ZA : TSP : KCl (1 g.l-1 : 0.5 g.l-1 : 0.5 g.l-1 ) (N3). Subplots namely foliar fertilizer concentration consist of 0.5 g.l-1 (P1), 1 g.l-1 (P2), 1.5 g.l-1 (P3), 2 g.l-1 (P4), 2.5 g.l-1 (P5), and 3 g.l -1 (P6). The results showed that there was no interaction between type of nutrient and concentration of foliar fertilizer. AB Mix Nutrition 10 ml.l-1 provides the best growth and yield for pakcoy plants. The concentration of foliar fertilizer had no significant effect on growth and yield of pakcoy.

Abstract

Dendrobium orchids have the potential to be developed because they have a variety of types, shapes and sizes. The choice of planting media and fertilization is an important factor in the success of orchid propagation, especially at the acclimatization stage. The aim of this research were determine the type of planting media and the best interval for giving foliar fertilizer and determine the best interactions and combinations of treatment of the type of planting media and the interval for giving foliar fertilizer on the growth of dendrobium orchid plantlets in the acclimatization and enlargement stages. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with the first factor being the type of planting media and the second factor being the interval of foliar fertilizer application. The first factor includes M1: wood charcoal, M2: cocopeat, M3: wood charcoal + cocopeat 1:1, M4: wood charcoal + cocopeat 1:2, and M5: wood charcoal + cocopeat 1:3. The second factor includes P1: once every 4 days, P2: once every 8 days, P3: once every 12 days. The results of the research showed that the cocopeat planting media type provided the best percentage of acclimatization success for the Dendrobium Blue twist x Dendrobium Biggibum orchids. Providing foliar fertilizer at 8-day intervals provides the best increase in plantlet height and leaf width at the acclimatization and plantlet enlargement stages of Dendrobium Blue twist x Dendrobium bigibbum orchids. There was no interaction between the use of planting media type and the interval of foliar fertilizer application.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Local Education Center (LEC) Kartikatama, Metro, yang difasilitasi oleh Pemerintah Kota Metro untuk para pra purnabakti PNS di Lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Metro. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh para pensiunan ini adalah hilangnya peran individu yang telah lama menjadi bagian dari dirinya, hal ini akan memicu stress, cemas, dan bahkan depresi jika individu tidak siap untuk menghadapi masa pensiun. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan serta keterampilan tentang hidroponik skala rumah tangga pada PNS yang akan memasuki masa pensiun, sehingga dapat memunculkan jiwa wirausaha serta dapat berkarya di lingkungan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah ceramah dan praktik langsung untuk menyemai benih sayuran, meracik nutrisi, dan merakit instalasi hidroponik. Target utama dari kegiatan ini adalah budidaya sayuran hidroponik skala rumah tangga pada kelompok PNS pra purnabakti di Lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Metro. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta mengenai budidaya hidroponik skala rumah tangga, yang tergambar dari terpasangnya instalasi hidroponik sederhana oleh para peserta kegiatan.   Kata kunci: Pembekalan kewirausahaan, Pra purnabakti, hidroponik, penyuluhan

Abstract

The use of shade percentage is the main factor as a barrier to sunlight which functions to reduce the intensity of the sun and as a weed control. Liquid biological organic fertilizer is fertilizer that contains microbes and is useful for helping plant growth. The aim of this research is to determine the best shade presentation and concentration of liquid biological organic fertilizer and their combination on the growth and yield of celery plants. This research was carried out from August to November 2023 at the Lampung State Polytechnic Land. This research was a split plot experiment (3 x 3) which was repeated 3 times. The first factor used as the main plot is the percentage of shade which consists of three levels: no shade, 30% shade, 60%. The second factor used as a subplot is the concentration of liquid biological organic fertilizer which consists of three levels: control, 10 ml.l-1, 20ml.l-1. If the results show a significant effect, it will be continued with the Honestly Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. Based on the observations result, it can be concluded that there is no good combination between the shade percentage treatment and the concentration of liquid biological organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of celery plants. The shade percentage treatment of 30% gave the best results for all observation parameters tested. Treatment of liquid biological organic fertilizer with a concentration of 10 ml.l-1 gave the best results in all observed parameters except for plant height parameters.

Abstract

ABC mix biological hydroponic nutrition is an innovation by developing the AB Mix hydroponic nutrition formulation (based on 100% chemicals) in collaboration with Liquid Organic Biofertilizer/LOB from LOB Plant PT. Great Giant Pineapple (PT.GGP). This invention is created in order to solve the problem of industries that want to produce hydroponic nutrients based on liquid organic biological fertilizer to reduce the concentration of chemicals in hydroponic nutrients. The aim of this invention are (1) to develop hydroponic nutrient products consisting of chemical fertilizers and biological fertilizers so that the use of chemicals can be reduced, (2) to produce patents granted regarding hydroponic nutrition based on chemical fertilizers and biological fertilizers, and (3) to apply the results of the invention to society and industry that requires the invention. The ABC Mix biological hydroponic nutrition product already has a patent with number IDS000006120 and has been implemented at Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School 606 through community service activities.

Abstract

Pleourotus ostreatus, well known as an white oyster mushroom is  the most popular edible mushroom in Indonesia. Baglog (sawdust as main substrat) is usually used to cultivating them. In the cultivation, it often occurs that the growing media in the baglog is not able to support the growth of oyster mushroom optimally. It is possible to add some supplements in the middle of cultivation period. The study aims to obtain information on the potential of molasses, washed rice water, and coconut water as nutritional supplements in white oyster mushroom cultivation to increase the production of it. This research was conducted from August to December 2022 at mushroom plant house (kumbung), Lampung State Polytechnic. This research used descriptive method with couple of parameter, like yield and form of white oyster mushroom. The results of this study shown that washed rice water can be used as supplement materials and has given the highest of white oyster mushroom yield (90.008 g). followed by coconut water (63.661 g), and molasses (51.102 g). On the other hand, the addition of washed rice water affect in productivity period if compared to molasses and coconut water addition.

Abstract

Hydroponics is one of the options of red chili peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) cultivation. Formulation of nutrientsolutions can be done by combining several chemical fertilizers to obtain a complete nutrient content at more cost-effective and readily accessible. The study used factorial randomized block design (RBD) in split splot. The master plots were four AB Mixformulations, F1: P (75 ppm) K (402 ppm) Ca (150 ppm) Mg (60 ppm) and S (90 ppm), F2: P (105 ppm) K (432 ppm) Ca (180ppm) Mg (90 ppm) and S (120 ppm), F3: P (135 ppm) K (462 ppm) Ca (210 ppm) Mg (120 ppm) and S (150), F4: P (165 ppm) K(492 ppm) Ca (240 ppm) Mg (150 ppm) and S (180 ppm). The subplots were 3 chili varieties; Kitavi variety (V1), Akar variety(V2) and CK F1 variety (V3). The results showed that AB Mix F4 formulation produced enhanced performance in plant height,stem diameter, crown width and fruit diameter. The use of CK curly red chili varieties exhibited better performance in theparameters of plant height, stem diameter, crown width and flowering age than the Kitavi dan Akar varieties. The AB Mix F4nutrient formulation and the use of CK curly red chili varieties are the best combination for plant growth in the variables of plantheight, stem diameter and crown width.

Abstract

Cauliflower is a vegetable with high economic value. However cauliflower production was decrease caused by crop failure resulting, pest and deseasse attack. Decrease of Cauliflower production related to soil fertility. One of attempts to overcome this problem is combining NPK fertilizer and setting of plant spacing to increase cauliflower production in Indonesia. The aims of this research is Firts: Determine the most effective dose of NPK fertilizer for growth and yield cauliflower, Seccond: Finding the optimal plant spacing to support growth and yield of cauliflower, and Third: indentifying best combinations of NPK fertilizer dosage and plant spacing to increasing growth and yield of cauliflower production. This research used a factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) by two factors: NPK fertilizer dose (0 g/plot, 5 g/plot, 10 g/plot dan 15 g/plot), plant spacing (40 x 45 cm, 50 x 45 cm, and 60 x45 cm). Results of this research show that aplication doses of NPK fertilizer provides best results at an NPK fertilizer dose of 10 g/plot. Application of plant spacing did not show significant differences throughout observed of all parameters. Additionally, no interactions from combination of NPK fertilizer dosage and plant spacing cauliflower.

Abstract

In increasing kailan productivity, organic mulch can be used through the application of sawdust mulch and fertilization through fertilizer applications. This study aims to determine the concentration of LOB and the thickness of sawdust mulch and the best combination of LOB concentration and sawdust mulch thickness on the growth and yield of kale plants. This study was conducted in May until July 2024, on the Lampung State Polytechnic land, using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two treatment factors, namely: The first factor is the concentration of organic fertilizer LOB consisting of 4 levels, namely 0 ml.1-1 (P0), 15 ml.1-1 (P1), 20 ml.1-1 (P2), 25 ml.1-1 (P3). The second factor is the thickness of sawdust mulch consisting of 3 levels, namely 2 cm mulch thickness (M1), 3 cm mulch thickness (M2), 4 cm mulch thickness (M3). The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed that the combination of two factors did not show a significant effect on all observation parameters. The sawdust mulch thickness treatment showed a significant effect on plant height but did not have a significant effect on the other parameters.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Baitul Qur’an Daarul Amin merupakan pesantren yang ada di Kecamatan Natar, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, Provinsi Lampung yang memiliki jumlah santri 45 orang dansantriwati 39 orang serta telah meluluskan kurang lebih 80 orang alumni. Kurikulum yang diajarkandalam pondok pesantren tidak hanya dalam bidang ilmu agama saja tepai juga diajarkan softskill yangmenunjang kompetensi santri agar kelak dapat bermanfaat baik untuk diri sendiri maupun untukmasyarakat. Pengembangan softskill yang sedang dijalankan pesantren adalah bidang wirausahadalam bidang perkebunan dan pertanian khususnya tanaman hortikultura. Tim Politeknik NegeriLampung melakukan kegiatan/program pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang melibatkan para santriPondok Pesantren Baitul Qur’an Daarul Amin untuk berperan aktif dalam kegiatan pengabdiantentang budidaya tanaman melon dengan metode hidroponik sistem Dutch Bucket. Kegiatan inidilakukan beberapa tahap yaitu edukasi, peningkatan keterampilan dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap edukasi adalah tahap pemberian informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan terkait metode hidroponik DutchBucket mulai tahap awal hingga tahap akhir dari serangkaian kegiatan budidaya melon secarahidroponik menggunakan sistem Dutch Bucket. Tahap Pengingkatan keterampilan terdiri dari praktiksecara langsung dalam green house yang ada di dalam pondok pesantren mulai dari persemaianbenih melon, pembuatan instalasi hidroponik, penanaman, pemeliharaan, kegiatan panen dan pascapanen. Tahap terakhir adalah evaluasi selama kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdianini para santri meningkat dalam segi kompetensi dalam bidang pertanian melon menggunakanmetode hidroponik sistem Dutch Bucket baik dari segi pengetahuan maupun dari segi praktiklangsung di lapang mulai dari persiapan media tanam sampai proses pemanenan melon hidroponik.Kata kunci: dutch bucket, hidroponik, keterampilan, melon, pesantren
