Abstract

The transition toward renewable energy is critical to achieving global sustainability goals, with solar power playing a significant role in diversifying energy sources. This study examines the effect of the 7 MWp Selong On-Grid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) on electricity network stability in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five key informants, including policymakers, technical experts, and community representatives. Thematic analysis was conducted using NVivo software to identify the operational impacts, challenges, and opportunities of solar integration. Results indicate that the Selong PLTS contributes positively to voltage stability, reduces reliance on fossil fuels, and diversifies the energy mix. However, challenges such as intermittency, infrastructure limitations, and the absence of energy storage hinder its full potential. The study highlights the need for technological upgrades, stakeholder collaboration, and community engagement to optimize renewable energy adoption in NTB. These findings provide actionable insights for enhancing grid stability in regions integrating renewable energy.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of science and technology encourages dynamic transformation in various sectors, especially in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), especially with the existence of Android-based smartphones. This advancement revolutionizes the way we access information, especially about various processed fish dishes in Indonesia. However, despite the plethora of culinary offerings, travelers often find it difficult to discover traditional dishes through social media platforms. To bridge this gap, a new app that utilizes artificial neural networks has been developed. The app allows users to photograph and upload images of processed fish dishes to recognize and provide detailed descriptions and recipes. In addition, integrating Google Maps makes it easy for users to find nearby places that serve these dishes. Testing the app with a dataset consisting of 1577 images of six types of processed fish dishes yielded promising results, with accuracy reaching 97.57% over 120 epochs. This innovation not only preserves cultural heritage but also enhances the culinary experience for locals and tourists.

Abstract

The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has created new opportunities for transforming agricultural systems toward sustainability, particularly in agricultural product sales systems. This study aims to explore the implementation of IoT in sustainable agricultural product sales systems in Indonesia and to understand its economic, environmental, and social implications. Using a qualitative research approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five key informants representing farmers, agribusiness actors, technology providers, and supporting institutions involved in IoT-based agricultural practices. The findings reveal that IoT implementation supports real-time monitoring of product quality, inventory management, traceability, and sales coordination, which contribute to improved market transparency and efficiency. Economically, IoT helps reduce post-harvest losses, strengthens bargaining positions, and stabilizes income. Environmentally, it supports waste reduction and promotes environmentally responsible sales practices. Socially, IoT enhances trust and collaboration among stakeholders, although challenges related to digital literacy, infrastructure limitations, and investment costs remain significant. Overall, this study demonstrates that IoT has strong potential to support sustainable agricultural product sales systems in Indonesia, provided that its implementation is accompanied by institutional support, capacity building, and inclusive governance mechanisms.

Abstract

This research develops an object detection system to assist visually impaired individuals in navigating dynamic environments, including roads and indoor spaces. The system employs YOLO version 10 (YOLOv10) with dual cameras and provides audio output through a speaker. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method, the system detects six object classes—person, car, motorcycle, bicycle, table, and chair—in real-time. Testing was conducted with variations in distance, lighting conditions, delay, and direct trials with visually impaired users. Results show an effective detection range of up to 5 meters. Under bright indoor lighting, the average error was 8.97%, while outdoor morning conditions yielded 3.95%. In low-light and dark conditions, accuracy decreased significantly, with errors ranging from 60.33% to 100%. Detection delay ranged from 4.3 to 7.4 seconds. The system achieved a Macro F1-Score of 0.74, with the highest performance for cars (0.92) and the lowest for persons (0.62). Direct trials with five visually impaired participants showed an average accuracy of 92.58% and delays around 4.63 seconds. The system effectively delivers precise audio information, helping users recognize objects in front and behind, thereby enhancing safety and confidence during navigation.

Abstract

Driver fatigue and drowsiness are among the major factors causing traffic accidents, leading to decreased alertness and slower reaction time. This study aims to develop a computer vision-based driver drowsiness detection system by integrating the You Only Look Once (YOLO), Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR), and Mouth Aspect Ratio (MAR) methods, as well as to evaluate driving performance quantitatively. The system is designed to operate in real time using a camera as the visual data source, which is processed through face detection, facial landmark extraction, and the calculation of EAR and MAR parameters as indicators of eye condition and yawning activity. The experimental results show that the system is capable of classifying driver conditions into three categories: normal (alert), drowsy, and microsleep, with an average F1-score of 0.92. In addition, this study proposes the Alertness Index (AI) as a composite indicator calculated based on drowsiness frequency, eye closure duration, and yawning intensity to represent the driver’s alertness level more comprehensively. The system is also able to operate in real time with stable performance, supporting implementation in real-world conditions. The results demonstrate that the integration of YOLO, EAR, and MAR not only improves detection accuracy but also enables objective and data-driven driving performance evaluation. This system can be applied as a driver monitoring solution to improve road safety.
