Abstract

This research is qualitative as it involves the collection of descriptive data and information regarding the interaction process with the subject under investigation. This research seeks to delineate the issues surrounding religion and terrorism, while also appraising the merits and shortcomings of the theatrical script. The data in this study were acquired via reading and note-taking methodologies. This study employed data analysis methodologies including meticulous examination of the theater script, data description, interpretation, evaluation, and conclusion formulation as the ultimate outcome of the research. The research findings on the play manuscript KATEKISAS (Spit for God) by Farid Latif indicate that it addresses the social issues prevalent in community life. The primary societal concern addressed in this article is the relationship between religion and terrorism. In this manuscript, the author critiques several individuals who exploit God's name for personal gain. The book exhibits the following faults and merits: 1. Insufficient story coherence, 2. Inappropriate conversation writing style. The strengths include: The author has effectively resonated with readers by candidly addressing societal issues.

Abstract

Education is a crucial determinant for the advancement of human existence, particularly in cultural and formal contexts. Formal education is an educational institution that enhances the quality of the teaching and learning process. In this context, poetry entails the composition of literary works characterized by succinct, rich, and aesthetically pleasing language, employing innovative phrasing, tangible expressions, artistic components, and human emotions articulated through rhythmic and emotive language. Consequently, an innovative learning strategy is required to enhance students' writing skills, namely through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the form and function of lerlote in the traditional wedding ceremony in Manuweri Village, East Babar District, Southwest Maluku Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method using oral literature review. The data in this study are the form and function of the lerlote in traditional wedding ceremonies. The data source in this study was obtained from informants at each stage of the traditional wedding ceremony process. The data collection techniques used in this study are: (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) recordings, (4) field notes, and (5) documentation. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the forms and functions of lerlote in the traditional wedding ceremony in Manuweri Village are: (1) game songs, (2) truly lyrical folk songs, (3) spiritual and religious folk songs, (4) folk songs for giving advice, and (5) regional songs and songs for people with specific occupations. Meanwhile, in terms of function, the lottery is: (1) entertainment function, (2) information function, and (3) educational function.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the metaphor in the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan, First Edition August 2014. Publisher of PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. Qualitative research is research that intends to understand the phenomena about what is experienced by research subjects, such as actors, perceptions, motivations, and actions, in an olistic manner and by means of descriptions in the form of words and languages in a special natural context by utilising various natural methods. The results of this study will present some data obtained as research evidence, namely, the types of metaphors contained in the novel, which consist of orientational metaphors and ontological metaphors.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the improvement in the ability to write fantasy stories using audio-visual media for students in class VII-6 at SMP Negeri 19 Ambon. The method used is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with data collection techniques, namely interviews, questionnaires, tests and documentation. The research results obtained show that learning to write fantasy stories using audio-visual media can create a learning atmosphere that allows students to be more active in class and can increase students' interest in learning which influences learning outcomes. The results of the assessment of writing fantasy stories using audio-visual media showed an increase in the number of students achieving the KKM. The average score obtained by class VII-6 students at SMP Negeri 19 Ambon in cycle I was 64.65 with the percentage of students who reached the KKM being 11 students. Meanwhile, the average score obtained by class VII-6 students at SMP Negeri 19 Ambon in cycle II was 75.57 with the number of students achieving the KKM as many as 25 students. This data shows a comparison that indicates an increase in the ability to write fantasy stories in class VII-6 students at SMP Negeri 19 Ambon.

Abstract

This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). With the title Increasing the Effectiveness of Learning to Listen to Fables Using Audio Visual Media in Class VII-1 Students of Saparua Christian Middle School. The sample in this study was 23 people from class VII-1. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, assignments. The instruments used were interview guides, observation sheets, tests and questionnaires. There are three data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data exposure and inference. The results showed that in the first cycle, there were 18 students who had not reached the KKM standard, while the percentage of students who reached the KKM standard was 5 students (26.08%) out of 23 students with a total score of 952.5 and the research results in the first cycle II who did not reach the KKM standard were 6 students, while students who achieved the KKM were 17 students (73.91%) of the 23 students with a total score of 1.555. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the results of learning to listen to fables have been able to reach the minimum limit of learning completeness categorized as very satisfying.

Abstract

This study seeks to enhance the descriptive writing abilities of class VIII-1 students at SMP Negeri 20 Ambon through the utilization of audio-visual media. This study employs the classroom action research (CAR) methodology. The data analysis revealed discrepancies among Cycle I, Cycle II, and Cycle III for the pupils of class VIII-1 at SMP Negeri 20 Ambon. In Cycle I, 21 students failed to reach the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), resulting in a failure percentage of 95.45% (21/22 × 100%), whereas one student achieved the KKM, yielding a success rate of 4.45% (1/22 × 100%). The mean score achieved in instructing descriptive text writing through audio-visual media for eighth-grade students in class VIII-1 at SMP Negeri 20 Ambon is 44.03. In Cycle II, the outcomes of the descriptive text writing assessment utilizing audio-visual media for VIII-1 grade students at SMP Negeri 20 Ambon indicated that 20 students failed to achieve the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of 75, resulting in a failure rate of 20/22 × 100% = 90.90%. Simultaneously, two students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) established by the institution, which is 75, resulting in a success rate of 2/22 × 100% = 9.09%. In Cycle III, three students failed to fulfill the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), resulting in a failure rate of 3/22 × 100% = 13.65%.
