Abstract

The large market for cow's milk makes the order capacity for cow's milk high and will increase the milking process. In the production process, especially the milking process, people still manually use their hands, so fatigue often occurs, especially in people with more than 2 livestock. This causes the production process to be ineffective and the production results are also limited. Creating an automatic milking machine equipped with a milk can, a vacuum tube and a hose. Besides, a topology study will also be carried out based on the model of the machine. The three-unit component will affect the performance of the Milking Machine, especially the milk collector and milk can. Their size needs to be analyzed to get the optimum one. Optimization results for the topology of the milk collector bore diameter showed that the milk flow rate in the milk collector at a bore diameter of 9mm was 6,154 ltr/min, at a bore diameter of 14 mm was 26,566 ltr/min and at a bore diameter of 19mm was 66,128 ltr/min (conditions without being connected to hose). The shape of a milk can with a reduction of 30% from the initial weight, which is 3,358 kg to 2,350 kg, is owned by a milk can with the most optimal cone-dome tube shape. The difference in weight with the tube is generally 1,008 kg. The quantity flow when installed with a 2m long hose is 6,729 ltr/min

Abstract

One of the challenges faced by micro-businesses like Kopi Combre in the village of Sumberdem, Wonosari District, when they want to use packaging for their products is selecting packaging that is unique and appealing to consumers. The primary goal of this community engagement project is to provide guidance in designing packaging structures and labels suitable for the micro-scale industry, particularly for Kopi Combre. The method involves community engagement and incorporates literature studies and information analysis. This study covers aspects such as coffee product attributes, packaging structure design, and labels. The findings indicate that the most suitable packaging type for the micro-scale industry is the Pouch packaging, while the packaging and label design will feature dark colors and include information about the coffee product and a unique brand.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menginisiasi implementasi ekonomi sirkular pada kampung batik Sidomukti Magetan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi rancang bangun, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh meliputi peningkatan ketrampilan pembatik di dalam mengembangkan motif desain batik Magetan, melakukan pewarnaan alami, serta melakukan efisiensi air proses pencucian batik hingga 100 persen melalui introduksi mesin pencuci berukuran 200 x 65 x 70 cm dengan dinamo 1 Hp dan kapasitas pencucian 25 lembar/jam. Peralatan ini mampu membuat air pencucian dapat digunakan hingga 2-3 kali sebelum akhirnya diolah di instalasi pengolahan air limbah.

Abstract

Proses pembuatan roti dikenal istilah fermentasi atau proses menghasilkan adonan roti yang dapat mengembang dengan sempurna. Tahap ini meliputi proses peragian (bulk fermentation), tahap menguleni (folding), pembentukan adonan (shapping), dan pengembangan adonan (fermentasi akhir atau final proofing). Proofing merupakan tahap fermentasi akhir yaitu proses pengaktifan ragi pada adonan roti dalam jangka waktu tertentu. Berdasarkan hasil studi lapangan yang telah dilakukan tim pengusul didapatkan informasi bahwa UKM mitra (UKM Roti) selama ini melakukan proses proofing masih dengan alat konvensional, yaitu memanfaatkan temperatur kamar dalam melakukan proses proofing. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat yang sederhana dan membutuhkan waktu 90 menit pada proses tersebut sehingga berpengaruh dengan produksi roti yang dihasilkan. Solusi yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan ini berupa rancang bangun mesin proofer yang dapat digunakan oleh UKM mitra dengan harapan dapat mempersingkat proses proofing dan meningkatkan jumlah produksi.Kegiatan PKM dapat dilaksanakan sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Mesin hybrid proofer sudah diberikan kepada UKM Mitra dan mendapatkan pelatihan cara pengoperasian alat. Monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan melalui wawancara dan pengisian angket. Hasil pengisian angket menunjukkan persentase sebesar 86,36%. Dari hasil tersebut tabel kriteria penilaian adalah baik dimana dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pelatihan pengoperasian alat memiliki nilai manfaat dan penggunaan alat dapat memberikan nilai tambah untuk berkembangnya usaha UKM Mitra. Dari hasil wawancara didapatkan peningkatan jumlah produksi sebesar 40-50% dan waktu proofing menjadi lebih singkat (45 menit).

Abstract

The aim of the research is to design a tool that can assist coffee farmers in determining the quality of the coffee beans produced according to the desired grade value of the coffee beans. The tool is designed to be able to fulfill the functional value produced by the tool. So that farmers can work fast, save time in the process of grading and sorting coffee beans, able to minimize operational costs, and save energy. With an electric motor power of 1 hp, the sizing machine is capable of sorting coffee with a capacity of ±250 kg/hour, therefore a day's the process of sorting 500 kg of coffee can be achieved in less than 2 hours. This really helps coffee farmers in determining the quality of coffee beans without taking a long time.
