Abstract

Donuts become one of the food products that are widely known by the public. Donuts are in demand by the public and now many variants have been found in the market. Fortified of M. Oleifera, O. As food additives, Americanum leaves can forced to offer additional nutritional value in donuts. The purpose of the study is to find out the test of the thank-power doughnut that is fortified with kelor leaf flour and my ruku-leaf flour. This study aims to determine product preferences for fortified donut products with Moringa oleifera L. Flour and leafy ruku-ruku (Ocimum americanum L.). This method of research used in this study was an experiment using a fully randomized two-component research design, namely: moringa leaf flour with ruku leaves- 2 treatments, namely A1 with a comparison of moringa leaf flour, Ruku-ruku leaf flour 6%: 10%: 84% and A2 with the ratio of moringa leaf flour, Ruku-ruku leaf flour 6%: 10%: 84%. The result data is grouped and then processed using the Microsoft Excel program and the resultant organoleptic test data in the form of a 20-person acceptance test (hedonic test). The results showed the reasonableness level in the form of different tastes, aromas, colors, and textures. Panelists are more interested in donut food preferences and colors. Organoleptic testing for panelists is obtained that donut A products are the most widely accepted by panelists with a total acceptance of 11.3.

Abstract

Abstrak: Durian (Durio zubethinus Murr.) Merupakan salah satu jenis buah tropis dari famili Bombacaceae yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan keragaman karakteristik dan tingkat kemiripan tanaman durian di desa Sukajadi Makmur, Kota Langsa, Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2019 – Februari 2020 Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksplorasi yaitu penelusuran keberadaan tanaman durian di wilayah penelitian dan wawancara. Hasil karakterisasi morfologi untuk bentuk pohon durian (Jorong, Bulat, dan Lonjong), Permukaan batang (kasar dan halus), Bentuk daun (lonjong, bulat panjang dan bulat telur) dan bentuk buah (Bulat, membulat, bulat telur, lonjong dan bulat panjang). Perlu dilakukan penelitian secara khusus yang mengarahkan pada eksplorasi karakteristik sifat morfologi dan molekuler serta kualitas buah durian di Provinsi Aceh.Kata Kunci: Diversitas; Kultivar; Karakter morfologi; Durian; Desa Sukajadi.Abstract: Durian (Durio zubethinus Murr.) Is a type of tropical fruit from the Bombacaceae family that has high economic value. The purpose of this research is to get the facts and the similarity of durian plants in the village of Sukajadi Makmur, Langsa City, Aceh Povince. This research was conducted in September 2019 – February 2020. The Research was conducted with an exploratory method, namely the search for the existence of durian plants in the study area and interviews. Results of the characterization of Durian plants in the form of durian trees (Jorong, round, and oval), stem surface (rough and smooth), leaf shape (round, rounded, ovoid, oval, and elliptical). Sprecific research needs to be conducted that leads to the exploration of morphological and molecular characteristics and the quality of durian in Aceh Province.Keywords: Diversity; Cultivars; Morphological Character; Durian; Sukajadi Village.

Abstract

Abstrak: Mangga (Mangifera indica L.) menjadi salah satu buah yang disukai dan memiliki banyak kultivar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakter morfologi dan sensoris kultivar mangga di kecamatan Langsa Lama, Aceh, Indonesia. Penelitian dilaksanakan di 5 desa, yaitu di desa Meurandeh, Sidodadi, Sidorejo, Meurandeh Teungoh, dan Asam Peutek, Kecamatan Langsa Lama, Kota Langsa, Aceh pada bulan Januari - Maret 2020. Pengumpulan data lapangan dilakukan dengan mengamati kultivar mangga yang dibudidayakan penduduk di kebun dan pekarangan rumah.  Seratus orang panelis dari 5 desa (20 orang setiap desa) dipilih secara acak untuk menilai kualitas warna, rasa, dan aroma dari buah mangga yang ditemukan. Sebanyak 5 kultivar mangga ditemukan pada lokasi penelitian, yaitu mangga arumanis, mangga apel, mangga golek dan mangga madu. Mangga tersebut memiliki karakter morfologi yang berbeda. Mangga Arumanis menjadi jenis kultivar mangga yang paling disukai berdasarkan atribut rasa, aroma, tekstur dan warna.Kata Kunci: Kultivar; sensoris; rasa; Langsa Lama;Abstract: Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is one of the most preferred fruit and has many cultivars. This study aims to identify the morphological and sensory character of mango cultivars in the Langsa Lama district, Aceh, Indonesia. The study was conducted between January and March 2020 in five villages, namely Meurandeh, Sidodadi, Sidorejo, Meurandeh Teungoh, and Asam Peutek, Langsa Lama District, Kota Langsa, Aceh. A field study was conducted by observing mango cultivars cultivated in the home garden and farmland. One hundred panelists from five villages (20 people from each village) were randomly selected to assess the taste, colour, and aroma of the mangoes. A total of five mango cultivars were identified at the study site, namely Arumanis, Apple, Golek, and Madu. These mangoes have different morphological characteristics. Arumanis is the most preferred product based on the taste, aroma, texture, and colour.Keywords: cultivar; sensory; taste; Langsa Lama;

Abstract

Durian (Durio zibethinus L.) is one of tropical fruit grown in Southeast Asia and known as King of the fruit. Durian (D. zibethinus) has many varieties with distinctive of morphological characters. The study aim is to explore the diversity of durian varieties in Kota Bahagia sub-district, Aceh, Indonesia. This study was carried out in October-December 2020 in five villages, namely Jambo Keupok, Alur Duamas, Seneubok Alur Buloh, Seneubok Keranji and Beutong. Data collection on the morphological characteristics of durian varieties was carried out through direct field observation of morphology. The data were tabulated and the similarity index was calculated. A total of 18 varieties of durian were found in 5 villages in Kota Bahagia sub-district, i.e. Jantung, Semut, Nanas, Kunyit, Bintang, Tamago, Labu, Bingen, Patai, Jelatang, Jerat, Ampo, Toba, Lilin, Kondo, Limeng, Langsat, dan Gadang Tampok. The highest similarity index value was found in Limeng (Lm) and Patai (Pa) varieties with an association coefficient value of 63.04, while the lowest values were found in Nanas (Na) and Semut (Se) varieties and Kondo (Ko) and Nanas (Na) varieties with an association coefficient of 15.21.

Abstract

Gunung Leuser National Park (TNGL) is one of Indonesia's conservation areas, serving as a haven for various plants and animals. The ecotourism zone is a part of the utilization zone in the GLNP area that is intended for the development of ecotourism and has a high diversity of plant species. However, information concerning the potential of plants in the GLNP's ecotourism zone has not been widely disseminated. The present study aims to inventory plant species in Gunung Leuser National Park's ecotourism zone. The exploration method was used in this study, which lasted from November to December 2021. A total of 47 plant species from 30 families were discovered in the study area, with Apocynaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae, and Solanaceae having the most species. These plants have a variety of uses, including food, spices, ornamental plants, and materials for traditional/ritual ceremonies.

Abstract

Langsa City has a wealth of plant species that need to be studied, especially bamboo plants. This study aims to explore the types of bamboo found in Langsa City. The study was conducted from April to July 2019 using the exploration method. The method of sample collection by purposive sampling. The results showed that in Langsa City there were found 4 genera bamboo namely Bambusa, Gigantochloa, Schizostachyum, and Thyrsostachys which consisted of 6 species of bamboo namely Bambusa multiplex (Lour.) Raeusch. Ex Schhult., Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. Ex Wendl., Gigantochloa apus (J.A. J.H.Schult.) Kurz, Gigantochloa atter (Hassk.) Kurz, Schizostachyum brachycladum (Kurz) Kurz, and Thyrsostachys siamensis Gamble. The most widespread bamboo distribution in Langsa was found in Langsa Lama and Langsa Baro amounted to 5 species.

Abstract

Instant gringer for now has a strategic health value where the raw material is very easy to obtain in the community and has properties and benefits in increasing personal immunity. However, it requires the skills of residents to process Halia Instant herbal drinks which can then be produced by considering the availability of raw materials at the farm level. This community service aims to help PKK members of the Simpang Peut Village PKK, Rantau Selamat District in understanding the various kinds of preparations of gringer raw materials and helping PKK members in increasing family economic income. This community service activity is targeted to be able to produce herbal beverage products and to produce knowledge about processing gringer raw materials into finished goods. In the long term, this service program is expected to foster independence for members of the Simpang Peut Village PKK, Rantau Selamat District and are also expected to have self-confidence and the ability to develop a business independently.

Abstract

This service aims to provide assistance and guidance for vocational school teachers in East Aceh Regency to write scientific articles in journals through a distance learning system. Assistance in writing scientific articles is important for teachers in East Aceh considering that it is an obligation for teachers to advance in rank or career class. This mentoring is carried out with an online concept through a distance learning system. Mentoring is conceptualized in three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The target and output to be achieved in this service is to increase the ability of teachers to write scientific articles for journals and to produce outputs in the form of articles published in ISSN journals.

Abstract

Pekarangan menjadi salah satu bagian terpenting bagi masyarakat pedesaan sebagai daerah untuk budidaya berbagai jenis tumbuhan berguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan pekarangan dan pemanfaatannya di desa Lawe Melang, Kecamatan Kluet Tengah, Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Maret 2020. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive random sampling berdasarkan luas pekarangan. Sebanyak 16 jenis tumbuhan pekarangan yang termasuk dalam 13 suku ditemukan di lokasi penelitian. Tumbuhan tersebut dikelompokkam menjadi 3 kategori berdasarkan tipe pemanfaatannya, yaitu tumbuhan buah-buahan, tumbuhan hias dan tumbuhan obat.

Abstract

Tumbuhan buah pekarangan merupakan salah satu bagian dari keanekaragaman hayati yang memiliki peran sangat penting bagi manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman jenis tumbuhan buah pekarangan di desa Simpang Balik, kabupaten Bener Meriah. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2021 dengan menggunakan metode purposive random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan koleksi, observasi, dan wawancara langsung. sebanyak 158 individu tumbuhan buah pekarangan yang ditemukan di Desa Simpang Balik, Kecamatan Wih Pesam, Kabupaten Bener Meriah yang terdiri dari 25 jenis dan 15 suku. Tanaman yang Strawberry (Fragaria vesca), Alpukat (Persea americana), dan Jambu Biji (Psidium guajava) merupakan tumbuhan buah yang paling banyak ditemukan di lokasi penelitian.
