Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder caused by abnormalities in insulin secretion and an imbalance between insulin supply and demand. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), diabetes mellitus is better known as Xiao Ke. In TCM, Xiao Ke disease is caused by internal heat exhaustion deficiency, and one of the traditional treatments for diabetes is the herbal Huang Qi (Radix astragali). Method: This research is a case study, where the researcher makes an in-depth observation of the use of Huang Qi herbs in diabetes mellitus patients. Result and Discussion: The results of diabetes treatment in the initial observation of the patient's blood sugar were 152 mg/dL, and in week 4, it decreased to 86 mg/dL. Isoflavonoids, saponins, and polysaccharides are the three main types of beneficial compounds that have pharmacological activity and therapeutic efficacy in many diseases, one of which is diabetes. In TCM, Huang Qi is beneficial for tonifying Qi and strengthening Yang in spleen Qi deficiency so that the spleen can increase its effectiveness in transformation and transportation. Conclusion: The results of the treatment of diabetes mellitus, or Xiao Ke, using Huang Qi herbs are proven to be able to reduce blood sugar levels in diabetics.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka adalah kurikulum yang pembelajarannya dengan intrakurikuler yang beragam, kurikulum merdeka dirancang lebih sederhana untuk memudahkan guru dan peserta didik. Dalam implementasinya, pemerintah memberikan wewenang dan tanggung jawab penuh pada setiap sekolah untuk mengembangkan kurikulum yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum merdeka, Hambatan implementasi kurikulum merdeka, dan Upaya untuk mengatasi Hambatan-hambatan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian diperoleh dari informan (Wakil kepala sekolah Bidang Kurikulum, Kepala sekolah dan Guru biologi). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, pertama; implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu melalui dua tahap  yaitu, perencanaan kurikulum merdeka meliputi perencanaan Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP), perencanaan pembelajaran dan asesmen, penggunaan dan pengembangan perangkat ajar, perencanaan P5. Dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka meliputi implementasi P5, penerapan pembelajaran yang terfokus pada peserta didik, keterpaduan penilaian dalam pembelajaran, pembelajaran sesuai tahap belajar peserta didik, dan peningkatan kualitas implementasi kurikulum. Kedua, Hambatan-hambatan implementasi kurikulum merdeka yaitu guru kesulitan menerjemahkan proses pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka sehingga menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi guru, sarana dan prasarana pendukung pembelajaran masih terbatas. Ketiga, adapun upaya mengatasi hambatan implementasi kurikulum merdeka yaitu meningkatkan kompetensi guru, pihak sekolah menyediakan sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung implementasi kurikulum merdeka seperti perangkat ajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan hasil analisis kebutuhan siswa terhadap media pembelajaran booklet pada mata pelajaran sistem ekskresi pada manusia disekolah SMPN 34 Pekanbaru. analisis kebutuhan ini difokuskan pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama di kota Pekanbaru. Penggunaan metode yang dipilih dalam mengumpulkan data yaitu metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel yan digunakan untuk mendapatkan data adalah responden siswa sekolah menengah pertama di kota Pekanbaru yang dipilih secara acak di kelas VIII dan terdiri atas 30 orang responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui proses observasi, wawancara dan pengisian angket berupa kuesioner. Hasil dari data kuesioner ini kemudian diolah dan dijadikan dalam bentuk persentase berupa tabel. Analisis kebutuhan siswa terhadap media pembelajaran booklet menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis booklet dalam proses pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan dan siswa merasa tertarik dengan penggunaan booklet sebagai media pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan pada nilai persentase pernyataan setuju terhadap pembuatan media pembelajaran booklet pada materi sistem ekskresi pada manusia, yaitu pada skor akhir senilai 60,8% dalam kategori “sedang”. Hasil analisis kebutuhan siswa ini akan digunakan untuk perancangan media pembelajaran booklet pada materi  sistem ekskresi pada manusia untuk tingkat sekolah menengah kejuruan di kota Pekanbaru

Abstract

Nyeri punggung bawah merupakan gejala yang sangat umum dialami, terutama pada usia produktif. Kasus nyeri punggung bawah mengalami peningkatan sebesar 54% dari tahun 1990 sampai dengan tahun 2015. Hampir sekitar 35,86% dari populasi penduduk Indonesia pernah mengalami nyeri punggung bawah. Akupuntur menjadi salah satu pengobatan non-farmakologi yang umum digunakan saat ini karena efektivitas dan keamanannya. Teknik akupuntur Master Tung memiliki keunikan dibanding teknik akupuntur lainnya, yaitu titik-titik akupuntur yang digunakan menggunakan konsep zona anatomi sehingga bersifat global atau luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek akupuntur terhadap perubahan derajat nyeri pada penderita nyeri punggung bawah dengan memakai titik akupuntur Tung, yaitu GuCiYi, GuCiEr, GuCiSan dan LingGu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, yakni metode Pre-Experimental Design One Group Pretest-postest. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan terapi akupuntur terhadap satu kelompok uji untuk diamati perubahannya pra dan pasca uji. Kelompok eksperimen akan diberikan pretest sebelum eksperimen dan setelahnya akan diberikan posttest untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perubahan derajat nyeri punggung bawah yang dirasakan pasien. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai efek akupuntur Tung menggunakan titik GuCiYi, GuCiEr, GuCiSan dan LingGu terhadap penurunan derajat nyeri punggung bawah pada pasien.

Abstract

Background: Central obesity manifests as the accumulation of adipose tissue in abdominal (visceral). The assessment of this condition often employs abdominal circumference (AC) as a commonly utilized metric. The increasing prevalence of central obesity is linked to dietary habits encompassing simple carbohydrates, fiber, and protein, environment, behavior, and genetic factors. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship between sugar, salt, and oil consumption patterns and central obesity in employees. Methods: This research was an observational study with a cross-sectional design on 35 employees. Data collection included sugar, salt, and oil consumption patterns collected using a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), and central obesity was obtained by measuring abdominal circumference using measuring tape, then statistical analysis using the Chi-square test. Results: Most respondents had unhealthy consumption patterns of sugar, salt, and oil that were 71.4%, 62.9%, and 82.9%, respectively. There was a significant relationship between consumption patterns of sugar (p=0.002), salt (p=0.033), oil (p=0.019) and the proportion of central obesity in employees at the Regional Library and Archives Office of Bengkulu Province. Conclusions: Twenty-two employees experienced central obesity, with the majority surpassing daily sugar, salt, and oil intake recommendations as a notable risk factor. To mitigate this, Bengkulu Province Regional Library and Archives Office staff are advised to limit the consumption of sugar, salt, and oil-rich items such as salted fish, canned sardines, dried shrimp, instant chili sauce, soy sauce, instant noodles, palm oil, and coconut milk in their meals.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Indonesian version of the CIS using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). This research used an analytical approach and psychometric methods. Participants comprised 112 high school students aged 15 to 17 in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. CIS consists of 34 statement items with four subscales: attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. Data analysis in Confirmatory Factor Analysis was carried out through Mplus  8.11 and SmartPLS. The results showed that CIS performed well on all psychometric indicators: CFI, TLI, RMSEA, outer loading, and AVE. The RMSEA value is 0.107 > 0.08, the CFI value is 0.710 < 0.90, the TLI value is 0.689 < 0.90, and the SRMR value is 0.098 > 0.08. All items and subscales in the motivation variable are valid with outer loading item values > 0.7 and AVE values > 0.5. Based on CFI and TLI, the CIS model is a good fit and can be accepted. Furthermore, the four dimensions or subscales of the CIS—namely, attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction—demonstrate adequate psychometric properties. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the Indonesian version of the CIS is a valid, reliable, and robust instrument for assessing motivation. The implication of this research is that educators can assess student motivation using the CIS instrument because it has been proven to be able to measure elements of motivation.

Abstract

Background: Program Integrasi Layanan Primer (ILP) merupakan strategi nasional untuk memperkuat layanan Kesehatan dasar melalui edukasi masyarakat, penguatan kader, peningkatan kualitas layanan, dan pemanfaatan media digital. Berdasarkan data Puskesmas Kasihan I tahun 2024, jumlah penderita hipertensi tercatat sebanyak 5.819 orang, namun hanya 41,4% yang telah memperoleh layanan kesehatan. Sementara itu, jumlah penderita diabetes melitus di Desa Bangunjiwo mencapai 2.480 orang, dengan cakupan layanan sebesar 42,3%. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 50% penderita belum terlayani secara optimal. Program ILP bertujuan meningkatkan  pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku masyarakat terkait kesehatan preventif dan promotif, sehingga dapat meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat secara menyeluruh dan mendukung upaya pencegahan penyakit. Hal ini menjadi sangat penting mengingat tingginya angka kematian akibat Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM), yang kini menjadi beban utama kesehatan masyarakat. Metode: Kegiatan pelatihan ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif  dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD), pre-test dan post-test, role play dan dokumentasi. Hasil: Terdapat perubahan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan kader sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, dengan peningkatan sebanyak 1,5 dari yang sebelumnya rata-rata nilai 4,5 menjadi 6. Berdasarkan hasil uji t-test diperoleh signifikan = 0,000 yang berarti lebih kecil dari α=0,05. Kesimpulan: Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada pengetahuan kader sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan.

Abstract

This community service program aims to integrate a green project through the production of Tatakura (Takakura Home Method) compost into the school curriculum as a form of environmental education and sustainable learning. The program was implemented at SMPN 10 Pekanbaru and involved 25 students and four science teachers through stages of socialization, hands-on compost production, mentoring, and the application of the compost to school plants. The activity employed a Participatory Action Research approach that emphasized the active involvement of both teachers and students. Evaluation was conducted using learning achievement tests, environmental awareness attitude questionnaires, and partner satisfaction surveys. The data were analyzed descriptively by comparing mean scores and achievement percentages. The results indicate an improvement in students’ average scores from 84.8 to 87.2, an environmental awareness level of 88%, and partner satisfaction rates of 100% among teachers and 97% among students. These findings demonstrate that the program is effective in supporting the integration of environmental education and the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a preliminary analysis of the need for developing Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based e-modules on the digestive system for grade VIII junior high school students. The lack of interactive learning media and the dominance of conventional methods lead to a low understanding of students’ concepts in abstract materials. This type of research is descriptive, using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The data collection instruments included a needs questionnaire distributed to 12 students of grade VIII.7 at SMPN 25 Pekanbaru and structured interviews with two science teachers. The results of the questionnaire analysis showed that the need for digital teaching materials was in the category of quite good (56.25%), but the indicators of the use of the PBL model (15.90%), the attractiveness of the display (13%), and the interactive features (10.10%) were in the very poor category. The results of the interviews revealed that students had difficulty visualizing the mechanisms of digestive organs and enzymes through printed books. The teacher emphasized the need for digital media that integrates contextual issues to stimulate critical thinking. The results of this study suggest that developing Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based e-modules on materials related to the digestive system should be considered an alternative learning medium to improve learning quality and students’ understanding of concepts.

Abstract

The observations and interviews with teachers and students indicate that it is still difficult to understand and memorize, especially on specific topics, such as the human respiratory system. The learning process still tends to rely on lectures and PowerPoint presentations. It uses teacher textbooks as media in the science learning process, making it less active and less enjoyable. This study aims to develop a valid and practical flashcard learning medium for grade VIII SMP/MTS students on the human respiratory system sub-material. This research is included in the development research (R&D) using the Plomp development model. The data collection instruments used are student and teacher interview sheets, student needs questionnaires, self-evaluation sheets, validation sheets, one-to-one evaluation test questionnaires, small-group tests, and validated practicality questionnaires or field tests. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The results of the material expert validation averaged 88% in the valid category. The results of the media expert validation averaged 97%, with a very valid category. The results of the learning expert validation averaged 97%, with a very valid category. The practicality test averaged 90%, categorizing it as very practical. The conclusion is that the flashcard learning media for the human respiratory system sub-topic is highly valid and very practical. Keywords: human respiratory system, development, flashcard
