Abstract

Education is known as a process of spiritual, intellectual and emotional formation. The implementation of education is realized in the learning process. The learning process in higher education directs students to be able to have good cognitive learning outcomes and collaboration skills. Observation results show that students' cognitive learning outcomes and collaboration skills are low. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a learning model that guides students to be able to have understanding and collaboration skills. One learning design that can overcome problems is the application of the Number Head Together (NHT) model based on Lesson Study (LS). This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart. Planning, action, observation and reflection are the stages of PTK research. Data was analyzed through the percentage of average values ​​and categorized through the level of the Akbar category. The research results showed an increase in cognitive learning outcomes as seen from the posttest scores in cycle I and cycle II with an average score of 77.75 in the good category and 87.5 in the very good category. Students' collaboration skills increased in each indicator from cycle I to cycle II with an average score of 76.75 in the good category and 87.15 which was included in the very good criteria. Therefore, exposure to the LS-based NHT model can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes and collaboration skills.

Abstract

Pendidikan diarahkan agar mahasiswa mampu memiliki kemampuan intelektual, spiritual, dan emosional yang baik. Praktik pendidikan selama ini masih mengutamakan aspek intektual semata sehingga terjadinya degradasi nilai dan normal. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah agar mahasiswa mampu memiliki ketiga aspek ini yaitu penerapan kurikulum merdeka. Salah satu hasil belajar penting yang dimiliki mahasiswa adalah sikap peduli lingkungan. Hasil observasi menunjukkan nilai rata-rata aspek sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa yaitu 62.5% dengan kategori rendah. 80% mahasiswa menyatakan penyebab rendahnya sikap peduli lingkungan adalah tidak tersedianya sumber belajar yang dapat digunakan untuk melatih sikap peduli lingkungan. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini yaitu pengembangan modul perubahan lingkungan berbasis ESQ. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menghasil modul berbasis ESQ yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan tahapan pengembangan analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE). Nilai validasi ahli materi sebesar 93.3%, ahli media sebesar 91.75%, ahli praktisi lapangan sebesar 93.32% dengan kategori sangat valid. Nilai kepraktisan modul yaitu 92.9% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Modul perubahan lingkungan berbasis ESQ efektif untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa dengan F hitung 6.840. Penelitian pengembangan sudah menghasilkan modul perubahan lingkungan berbasis ESQ yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize students' creativity in learning Natural Sciences (IPA) through the implementation of comic-based assignments. The background of this study is based on observations at MTs S PPM DINIYYAH PASIA, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, which identified several issues in science learning, such as the lack of learning resources, limited use of gadgets, and low student reading interest. This research employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, encompassing the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results indicate a significant increase in students' creativity scores after the implementation of comic-based assignments, with the average creativity score rising from 61.6 (low category) to 91.02 (very good category). Effective strategies for optimizing the implementation of comic-based assignments include the integration of IPA materials with comics, the use of diverse media, intensive mentoring, student collaboration, regular evaluation and reflection, and rewarding the best works.

Abstract

One of the efforts to bridge students' activities in constructing their knowledge is through constructivist-oriented modules equipped with mind maps. This research aims to develop a constructivist-oriented module with mind maps for the topic of the excretory system and to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning module. This study is a development research that employs the Four-D Models, which include the stages of Definition, Design, Development, and Dissemination, though the dissemination stage was not carried out. The results indicate that the constructivist-oriented module equipped with mind maps is valid, practical, and effective. The average module validation score is 3.54, the average practical test score by teachers is 3.23, the average practical test score by students is 3.54, and the effectiveness of the module can be observed from students' motivation, activity, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) melalui penerapan tugas komik. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada observasi di MTs S PPM DINIYYAH PASIA, Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat, yang mengidentifikasi beberapa permasalahan dalam pembelajaran IPA, seperti minimnya sumber belajar, keterbatasan penggunaan gadget, dan rendahnya minat baca siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis and Mc.Taggart, meliputi tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada nilai kreativitas siswa setelah penerapan tugas komik, dengan rata-rata nilai kreativitas meningkat dari 61,6 (kategori rendah) menjadi 91,02 (kategori sangat baik). Strategi yang efektif untuk mengoptimalkan penerapan tugas komik mencakup integrasi materi IPA dengan komik, penggunaan media yang beragam, pendampingan intensif, kolaborasi antar siswa, evaluasi dan refleksi berkala, serta penghargaan atas karya terbaik

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of field trip activities on students' learning motivation in the plant taxonomy course. It uses a survey method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The present study was conducted at IAIN Kerinci with a sample of fourth-semester students of the Biology Education Study Program in 2024 who took the plant taxonomy course. The data collection technique was a questionnaire based on learning motivation indicators, according to Uno (2008). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the percentage of motivation for each indicator. The results showed that 41.67% of students really agree and 53% agree that field trip activities significantly increased their learning motivation. Analysis per indicator showed that motivation was driven by the desire to succeed (45.56% really agree), demands and need in learning (37.00%), future hopes and aspirations (36.67% really agree), being appreciated in learning (47.78% really agree), and a conducive learning environment   (40% really agree). However, a small number of students (5.17%) stated that this activity was less advantageous due to lack of preparation or unsupportive field conditions, so it can be concluded that the field trip method is an effective learning method to increase students' motivation and understanding, especially in practice-based courses such as plant taxonomy. However, more thorough planning is needed to optimize the benefits of this activity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student responses to the use of a biochemistry e-module on carbohydrate material and its impact on learning independence. This quantitative descriptive research involved 40 students from the Biology and Chemistry study programs who had used the e-module. Data were collected through a questionnaire covering five indicators: ease of use, effectiveness of material delivery, level of interactivity, learning independence, and general response. The results showed that for the ease of use indicator, the carbohydrate e-module received an average response of "very good" with an average percentage of 83%. The effectiveness of material delivery scored 82.75%, while the level of interactivity reached 85.7%. However, the learning independence indicator had a lower average score (78.7%), indicating the need to strengthen self-learning motivation and encourage further exploration of additional information. The study concludes that the biochemistry e-module on carbohydrate material is effective in enhancing students' understanding but requires some improvements, such as adding a glossary feature and interactive elements to optimally support learning independence. The integration of technology in learning is expected to continue developing to improve the effectiveness of science-based education.

Abstract

Laboratorium memainkan peran penting sebagai tempat aplikasi teori, uji coba, dan penelitian. Pemanfaatan laboratorium mendukung pengembangan keterampilan ilmiah siswa, mempermudah pemahaman konsep, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Dalam penelitian ini, laboratorium IPA di SMPN 5 Kerinci dievaluasi kesesuaiannya dengan standar nasional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat apakah laboratorium IPA di SMPN 5 Kerinci sudah sesuai standar yang telah ditetapkan dalam permendiknas nomor 24 tahun 2007. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Aspek yang diamati meliputi ruang laboratorium dengan skor (71,42%) dengan kategori baik, perabot dengan skor (80,95%) dengan kategori baik, peralatan pendidikan dengan skor (69,91%) dengan kategori baik, media pendidikan dengan skor (100%) dengan kategori sangat baik dan perlengkapan lainnya dengan skor (66,66%) dengan kategori baik. Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan laboratorium di SMPN 5 Kerinci dengan persentase skor (77,78%) dengan kategori baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa laboratorium di SMPN 5 Kerinci sudah memenuhi standar laboratorium IPA yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah.

Abstract

Studi awal menemukan fenomena bahwa kemampuan komunikasi siswa masih lemah. Fenomena tersebut terlihat dari kelemahan siswa dalam menyampaikan pesan dengan jelas, kurang fokus dalam menyimak/ mendengarkan penjelasan guru, dan kurang memberikan umpan balik. Tujuanipenelitian ini adalahiuntuk menganalisisiketerampilan komunikasiisiswa kelas X di MAN 1 Kerinci melalui penerapan metode diskusi.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif dengan desain kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara yang melibatkan 140 siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kerinci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi pada indikator menyampaikan pesan yang jelas dengan presentase 65% dengan kriteria baik. Dapat meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi pada indikator mendengarkan dengan persentase 61,4% dengan kriteria baik. Dapat meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi pada indikator mendengarkan dan mendapatkan umpan balik dengan presentase 62,9% dengan kriteria baik. Dapat meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi pada indikator menangani interaksi emosional dengan persentase 57,9% dengan kriteria baik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa dalam pembelajaran Biologi.

Abstract

Abstract: One of the success factors of students in learning is the use of innovative learning models and motivation to learn in students. One learning model that can increase student learning motivation is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the Project Based Learning learning model in increasing student motivation. The research method used is systematic literature review. The data used in this study were obtained from previous research, in the form of articles related to the Project Based Learning learning model and student motivation. The results of the analysis of several articles show that there is an effect of project based learning on student motivation, both in elementary school students and high school students. This increase in motivation is also supported by the enthusiasm of students in working on projects in learning. The project carried out is a fun thing for students. Therefore, it can be concluded that the project based learning learning model has an effect on increasing student motivation
