Abstract

Character education is a fundamental component of the educational system aimed at fostering individuals with integrity, ethical awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility. This study examines the synergy between teachers and parents in shaping students’ character at SMA Negeri 1 Porehu, while also identifying existing challenges and effective strategies for improvement. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving nine key informants, including the school principal, teachers, and parents. The findings reveal that teacher–parent synergy remains limited due to ineffective communication and low parental participation in school activities. Nevertheless, initiatives such as the internalization of positive values through the “Morning Habituation” program and the establishment of regular communication forums between the school and parents have proven to enhance the effectiveness of character development. Supporting factors include well-structured school programs and active parental involvement, whereas major obstacles consist of value discrepancies between home and school environments and negative social influences. This study recommends strengthening collaborative-based character education programs by actively engaging parents in both instructional and character-building processes to ensure consistent and sustainable character formation among students.

Abstract

Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah dasar menghadirkan tantangan dan peluang baru bagi pendidik, khususnya di Kabupaten Kolaka Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Guru Penggerak dalam optimalisasi pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka di SD Negeri Kolaka Utara. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan sumber daya, resistensi terhadap perubahan, dan kebutuhan akan inovasi pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan guru, kepala sekolah, dan orang tua siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru Penggerak berperan penting dalam mengembangkan materi ajar inovatif, meningkatkan kolaborasi, dan memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa strategi kolaboratif dan dukungan pelatihan berkelanjutan sangat efektif dalam mengatasi tantangan kurikulum. Rekomendasi diberikan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan komunitas dan dukungan kebijakan dari dinas pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh implementasi program Sekolah Penggerak dan Kurikulum Merdeka yang memerlukan manajemen efektif dan pengembangan budaya sekolah yang mendukung. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi manajemen Sekolah Penggerak dan budaya sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Pakue. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan delapan informan kunci, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Perencanaan dilakukan secara sistematis dan kolaboratif dengan melibatkan seluruh stakeholder, mencakup aspek pembelajaran, SDM, dan budaya sekolah; (2) Implementasi menunjukkan transformasi signifikan dalam praktik pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah, didukung sistem pendampingan yang efektif; (3) Evaluasi dilakukan secara komprehensif dan berkelanjutan, menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan penguatan budaya sekolah. Kesimpulannya, manajemen yang sistematis dan pengembangan budaya sekolah yang terencana berkontribusi pada keberhasilan program. Rekomendasi penelitian menekankan pentingnya penguatan sistem pendampingan guru dan pengembangan budaya sekolah berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Era digitalisasi telah mendorong transformasi pendidikan, termasuk dalam evaluasi kinerja guru. Sistem E-Kinerja diterapkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, transparansi penilaian, dan profesionalisme guru di SMK Negeri Kolaka Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi sistem ini dalam aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen di SMK Negeri 3 dan SMK Negeri 4 Kolaka Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-Kinerja mempercepat evaluasi kinerja guru, meningkatkan efisiensi pelaporan, serta meningkatkan akuntabilitas tenaga pendidik. Namun, implementasi sistem ini menghadapi tantangan dalam hal kesiapan infrastruktur, keterampilan digital guru, serta resistensi terhadap perubahan. Untuk mengatasi hambatan ini, diperlukan dukungan kebijakan, pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan penyediaan infrastruktur yang memadai. Studi ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan model evaluasi berbasis digital untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan tenaga pendidik, terutama di daerah terpencil.

Abstract

Education as a forum to produce a reliable generation and lead the development of modern educational technology. As a forum to produce a reliable generation, teachers are required to have professional quality in their professional fields. The professional behavior of teachers is very important for the learning process, but there are still many problems related to teacher professionalism, especially at SMP Negeri 12 North Kolaka, namely there are still teachers who teach with conventional methods and lack innovative learning media. Teachers' ability to prepare learning tools such as lesson plans, syllabus, and assessment instruments still needs to be improved, teachers' motivation to develop themselves through professional development activities is still low. And the implementation of clinical supervision by school principals has not been running optimally and systematically. This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation and evaluation and follow-up of clinical supervision carried out by school principals in improving teacher professionalism at SMP Negeri 12 North Kolaka. The method used in this study is through a qualitative approach with a case study design with data collection techniques through interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The results of the study show that clinical supervision applied by school principals plays an active role in providing constructive feedback to teachers, as well as creating an environment that supports professional development. In addition, this study also identifies several challenges faced in the supervision process, such as time constraints and lack of training for principals and teachers. Nonetheless, the results suggest that effective implementation of clinical supervision can contribute significantly to improving teacher competence and performance.

Abstract

Membaca merupakan keterampilan dasar yang sangat penting dalam menunjang perkembangan intelektual dan akademik siswa. Namun, rendahnya tingkat literasi di Indonesia, khususnya di jenjang sekolah dasar, masih menjadi tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengelolaan perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa di SD Negeri 3 Kodeoha dan SD Negeri 11 Kodeoha, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan kendala yang dihadapi kepala perpustakaan, serta mengeksplorasi inovasi yang diterapkan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan enam informan terdiri atas kepala perpustakaan, guru, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengungkap pola strategi pengelolaan perpustakaan dan pengaruhnya terhadap kebiasaan membaca siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi efektif meliputi pengadaan koleksi bacaan yang bervariasi, pengelolaan ruang baca yang nyaman, dan program literasi menarik seperti diskusi buku serta storytelling. Faktor pendukung utama ialah dukungan sekolah dan antusiasme siswa, sementara kendala yang dihadapi mencakup keterbatasan koleksi, kurangnya inovasi, dan minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi. Inovasi yang diterapkan mencakup katalog digital, promosi literasi berbasis media digital, serta ruang baca tematik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan institusional dan peningkatan kapasitas pengelola perpustakaan.

Abstract

This research focuses on the use of 'Canva for Education' in enhancing digital literacy in the era of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum). Facing challenges in access and utilization of technology in education, this study aims to analyze the extent to which Canva can enhance the engagement and digital literacy of students and teachers. The method employed is qualitative analysis, through in-depth examination of academic literature and relevant case studies. This research emphasizes the secondary data analysis from academic and practical sources to evaluate the effectiveness of Canva. The research findings indicate that the use of 'Canva for Education' has a significant impact on improving digital literacy. Key findings show that Canva spurs active student participation in the learning process and trains essential digital skills for both students and teachers. Case studies at SMA Negeri 1 Bandung and literature analysis confirm that Canva, as an interactive digital tool, assists in enriching teaching methods, making them more engaging and effective. The conclusion of this research highlights the importance of integrating creative technology in education, which not only enhances engagement and digital literacy but also supports the development of innovative and adaptive pedagogical approaches. This research contributes to the development of educational theories that emphasize the importance of technology-based learning in modern education.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of coaching methods in academic supervision on the improvement of teacher performance and educational quality in schools (Location: Al-Kautsar Kindergarten, Kartika XX-46 Kindergarten Kendari, Dian Ekawati Kindergarten, and Setara Kids Kindergarten). Through interviews, direct observations, and document analysis, the research reveals that coaching serves not only as a feedback tool but also fosters deep relationships and encourages effective two-way communication between school principals and teachers. Direct observation results indicate that teachers engaged in coaching show increased motivation, self-confidence, and tangible changes in teaching practices. Document analysis supports these findings by identifying measurable changes in teaching practices through the implementation of strategies acquired through coaching. These findings align with previous research literature that emphasizes the effectiveness of coaching in the professional development of teachers and the enhancement of learning quality. In conclusion, coaching methods in academic supervision are not just strategies but a holistic approach that brings positive and measurable impacts on teacher performance and the achievement of educational goals in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze collaborative strategies to address the challenges of implementing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum, using a narrative perspective approach. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the integration of ICT as a supporting tool for more independent and innovative learning; however, challenges such as limited infrastructure, a lack of digital skills among teachers, and insufficient collaborative support remain obstacles in the field. This research employs a qualitative method with in-depth interviews involving Teacher Leaders and School Leaders in Kendari City. The results indicate that collaboration among teachers, schools, parents, and government is key to optimizing the application of ICT, particularly through support in providing training, enhancing competencies, and ensuring adequate equipment availability. These findings underscore the importance of collaborative strategies that involve various stakeholders in efforts to achieve sustainable educational transformation in the digital era, supporting the effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of local wisdom in early childhood education in Kendari City, focusing on its implementation at early childhood education Fajriatul Hikmah Kota Kendari and early childhood education Tasawuta Wawotobi Unaaha. A qualitative descriptive research method was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers have a good understanding of local wisdom and its relevance in early childhood education, particularly in instilling cultural values such as mutual cooperation, obedience, and respect for nature. The integration of local wisdom is carried out through various learning activities, including storytelling of folk tales, the use of local languages, and traditional games. Additionally, parental and community involvement plays a crucial role in strengthening character education in children. However, the study also identified several challenges in implementing local wisdom, such as the lack of specialized training for teachers and limited time for incorporating cultural values into the curriculum. Therefore, policy support from the government, teacher training programs, and increased community involvement are necessary to optimize the implementation of local wisdom-based education.
