Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai berikut: 1)untuk mendeskripsikan wujud penggunaan tindak tutur direktif Bahasa Lembak di Kecamatan Sungai Serut Kota Bengkulu. 2)untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi tindak tutur direktif pada kegiatan sehari-hari masyarakat Lembak di Kecamatan Sungai serut Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Penelitian deskriptif tidak mempertimbangkan benar salahnya penggunaan bahasa oleh penutur-penuturnya, karena hal itu merupakan cirinya yang pertama dan terutama. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah Sumber data penelitian adalah bahasa yang digunakan, masyarakat berbahasa lembak di kegiatan interaksi dan transaksi keseharian masyarakat lembak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif .Sumber data penelitian adalah bahasa yang digunakan, masyarakat berbahasa lembak di kegiatan interaksi dalam suasana banjir dan transaksi jual beli keseharian masyarakat lembak. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik simak, teknik rekam, dan teknik catat. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan tentang tindak tutur direktif dalam intekasi masyarakat Lembak di Kecamatan Sungai Serut Kota Bengkulu, diperoleh beberapa wujud tindak tutur direktif dan fungsi tindak tutur sebagai berikut: Wujud tindak tutur direktif yang digunakan pada masyarakat Lembak di Kecamatan Sungai Serut Kota Bengkulu, yaitu: 1) wujud perintah sebanyak 17 tuturan , 2) wujud permintaan sebanyak 21 tuturan, 3) wujud ajakan 14 sebanyak tuturan, 4) wujud larangan sebanyak 6 tuturan, 5) wujud nasihat sebanyak 13 tuturan, 6) wujud kritikan sebanyak 3 tuturan. fungsi tindak tutur direktif pada kegiatan interaksi dan transaksi masyarakat Lembak di Kecamatan Sungai serut Kota Bengkulu, yaitu: fungsi perintah, fungsi permintaan, fungsi ajakan, fungsi larangan, fungsi nasihat, dan fungsi kritikan.

Abstract

The Lembak dialect is one of the dialects commonly used by the Lembak people, also known as the Lembak ethnic group, which is part of the larger Bengkulu community. This study aims to describe the function, category, and syntactic role of active and passive sentences in Lembak dialect speech in Bengkulu City. The method used is a qualitative descriptive Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by listening, listening freely in conversation, interviews and recording techniques, namely by recording conversations in Tanjung Agung and Tanjung Jaya Villages, Sungai Serut District, Bengkulu City and interviewing the sources. The analysis steps were carried out in stages: 1) data transcription, 2) data identification, and 3) data classification. The results of the study showed that in active sentences, sentence structures were found with the patterns SPO, SPOKet, KetSPO, SPOPel, SketPO, SPOKetPel, and SPKetO. The syntactic functions found were subjects, predicates, objects, descriptions, and complements. Categories in the Lembak dialect found noun phrases, verb phrases, prepositional phrases, adverbial phrases, adjective phrases, and numeral phrases. The syntactic roles found include actors, actions, sufferers, place, results, time, origin, purpose, participants, actions, recipients, number, things, conditions, and tools. Meanwhile, in passive sentences, sentence structures are found with the patterns SPO, SPOKet, KetSPO, SKetPO, KetSPO, and KetSPOPel. The syntactic functions found include subjects, predicates, objects, descriptions, and complements. The categories that appear include noun phrases, verb phrases, prepositional phrases, adverbial phrases, and adjective phrases. The syntactic roles found include sufferers, actions, actors, place, results, time, tools, and origin. In this study, it was found that in Central Malay Lembak dialect, the active sentence form of the verb is not prefixed or even reduced.

Abstract

Esai salah satu cara mahasiswa dan guru dalam mewujudkan idenya secara kritis dan ilmiah terhadap permasalahan pembelajarannya. Dalam kenyataannya tidak semua guru dan mahasiswa mampu mengungkapkan gagasan ilmiahnya secara kritis melalui esai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan gaya retorika penulisan esai mahasiswa dan guru yang ada di Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya, yaitu menentukan karya esai dari guru dan mahasiswa melalui penugasan perkuliahan dan pelatihan menulis esai, pengelompokan topik esai, dan pengodean esai untuk dianalisis esainya. Teknik analisis data, yaitu pengodean berdasarkan struktur, kebahasaan, dan isi esai dengan menabulasikannya, menginterpretasikan, dan menarik kesimpulan. Keabsahan dilakukan dengan mengecek dengan tim ahli sebanyak tiga orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya retorika penulisan esai guru frekuensinya lebih terlihat dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Slang, especially among Generations Alpha and Z, functions as a dynamic tool for expressing identity, group belonging, creativity, and resistance to norms, shaped by digital platforms and used to signal cultural affiliation, shared values, and emotional stance in everyday communication. This study aims at evaluating the forms of slang language used by Generations Alpha and Z, linguistic patterns indirectly represent or construct social identity the influence of those slangs in educational context. This study followed a rigorous process to ensure data relevance, validity, and ethics by collecting publicly available Instagram texts from Generations Alpha and Z using purposive sampling. Data from public accounts were anonymized, scraped manually and automatically, then preprocessed through cleaning, tokenization, and normalization. NLP techniques and qualitative content analysis were applied to identify slang patterns and interpret their social meanings, revealing how slang reflects identity and cultural practices in digital youth communication. The analysis concludes that slang usage among Generations Alpha and Z on digital platforms like Instagram serves not merely as casual expression but as a communicative strategy that reflects social identity, group affiliation, and cultural values. Through a combination of computational and qualitative analysis, the study reveals that slang functions to assert community membership, convey emotional attitudes, and construct self-image in digital spaces. The emerging linguistic patterns highlight the significant role of informal language in digital literacy practices and educational interactions, underscoring the need for greater attention to youth language in both academic and cultural contexts. Previous studies have examined youth slang, but few have explored its role across digital platforms in shaping identity, especially using both computational and sociolinguistic approaches. The influence of slang in educational contexts also remains underexplored. This study addresses these gaps by analyzing slang's forms, functions, and meanings in digital youth communication.

Abstract

Abstract is a very important part of a research article. It is the first section to be read by readers and if readers are not impressed in reading this section, they will unlikely continue reading the article. This study aims to find the rhetorical moves, rhetorical patterns, and linguistics features; tenses, voice forms, and that-complement clause of RA abstracts by Indonesian authors in Applied Linguistics published in National Journal. This study used mix-methods by analyzing the move structure, rhetorical patterns, and the linguistic feature of the twenty four RA abstracts extracted from Edu-ling: Journal of English Education and Linguistics as the sample of this study. The results show that: 1) The dominant moves used are Move 2 (Purpose), Move 3 (Methodology), and Move 4 (Results); 2) The dominant rhetorical patterns used are the four model patterns; 3) The linguistic features shows the dominant tense is Simple Past Tense; the dominant voice forms is active forms, and the uses of that-complement clause in Move 4. This study concludes that there is an unwareness of the authors about the latest common inventions about the rhetorical moves. Further research is suggested to be concerned on that-complement clause.

Abstract

Abstrak   Konsep praktis kurikulum Outcome Based Learning (OBE) tertuang dalam bentuk desain instruksional, proses pengajaran, dan perangkat asesmen. Dalam sistem pendidikan, setidaknya terdapat tiga hal yang menjadi perhatian yaitu input, proses, dan output. Input berfokus pada hal-hal yang dapat meningkatkan input dalam sistem pendidikan seperti finansial, infrastruktur, dan lainnya. Proses berfokus pada proses untuk mengontrol, mengorganisasi, dan menyampaikan pengetahuan dalam pembelajaran. Sementara output berfokus terhadap produk pendidikan yang kemudian dikenal dengan Outcome Based Learning (OBE). Pada penelitian ini proses pembelajaran melalui OBE akan ditelaah di setiap Program Studi di FKIP sebagai persiapan menuju akreditasi internasioal.   Kata Kunci : Kurikulum OBE, FKIP, Akreditasi Internasional   Abstract   The practical concept of the Outcome Based Learning (OBE) curriculum is contained in the form of instructional design, teaching processes, and assessment tools. In the education system, there are at least three things of concern, namely input, process and output. Input focuses on things that can increase input in the education system such as finance, infrastructure, and others. Process focuses on processes to control, organize, and convey knowledge in learning. While the output focuses on educational products which are known as Outcome Based Learning (OBE). Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan proses ritual menyadap enau dan menjelaskan fungsi mitos dalam penjagaan tumbuhan enau dalam etnik Rejang. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu informasi yang ada kaitannya dengan pandangan Masyarakat Rejang mempunyai mitos, ritus penyadapan enau serta penjagaan tumbuhan enau. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah dua teks cerita Putri sedaro putih, yang pertama cerita Putri sedaro putih yang sudah ditranskrip dan yang kedua, lisan yang didapat secara langsung oleh BMA kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Pengumpulan data dilakukan studi lapangan secara langsung di kabupaten Rejang Lebong dengan Teknik dokumen, observasi, wawancara, pencatatan, pengamatan, dokumentasi. Metode pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara mencari dan mengumpulkan data, mentranskrip dan menafsirkan data, menganalisis teks dan menarik Kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa 1) makna di dalam proses ritual dari cerita rakyat Putri sedaro putih sering kali memberi pesan bagaimana tindakan Masyarakat Rejang yang seharusnya dilakukan dalam memperlakukan alam dan di masyarakat Rejang diajarkan bahwa terdapat cara khusus dalam memperlakukan alam sehingga alam akan memberikan timbal balik terhadap manusia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan manusia. 2) mitos dapat menjadi pedoman perilaku manusia dalam menjaga keseimbangan alam, meningkatkan kepekaan terhadap kondisi alam, mengukuhkan posisi manusia dan alam serta unsur-unsur lainnya dalam ekosistem, serta untuk meningkatkan kepekaan manusia terhadap penjagaan alam. Kata Kunci: Mitos, Ritus, Etnik Rejang, Perlindungan Ekosistem, Ekokritik Sastra Abstract This research aims to explain the ritual process of tapping sugar palm plants and explain the function of myth in protecting sugar palm plants in the Rejang tribe. The data used in this research is information related to the Rejang Community's views on myths, rituals for tapping palm sugar and protecting palm plants. The data sources in this research are two texts of the story Putri Sedaro Putih, the first is the story of Putri Sedaro Putih which has been transcribed and the second is an oral story which was obtained directly by the BMA of Rejang Lebong district. Data collection was carried out by direct field studies in Rejang Lebong district using document techniques, observation, interviews, recording, observation, documentation. Data processing methods are carried out by searching and collecting data, transcribing and interpreting data, analyzing text and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that 1) the meaning in the ritual process of the Putri Sedaro Putih folklore often gives a message about how the Rejang community should act in treating nature and the Rejang community teaches that there is a special way of treating nature so that nature will give reciprocity to humans to fulfill human needs. 2) myths can guide human behavior in maintaining the balance of nature, increasing sensitivity to natural conditions, strengthening the position of humans and nature and other elements in the ecosystem, as well as increasing human sensitivity to protecting nature. Abstract

Directive speech acts play an important role in the learning process, as they are used by teachers to direct, control, and manage students’ responses so that learning objectives can be achieved effectively. This study aims to characterize the directive speech acts used by teachers during learning activities at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu. The study focuses on issues related to the use of teachers’ directive speech acts in classroom learning at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu. A descriptive method was employed in this research. The study was conducted at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu, with data sources consisting of teachers’ directive utterances during Indonesian language learning activities. Data were collected through observation, audio recording, and field notes. Data analysis was carried out through several stages: (1) transcribing oral data into written form, (2) identifying data based on types of directive speech acts, (3) classifying data according to their categories, (4) interpreting the data, and (5) drawing conclusions. The results indicate that teachers’ directive speech acts in Indonesian language learning include (1) requests (requestives), (2) questions (questions), (3) commands (requirements), (4) prohibitions (prohibitives), (5) permissions (permissives), and (6) advice (advisories). In the context of learning at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu, these directive speech acts function to direct students’ attention, regulate learning behavior, and assist students in understanding learning instructions in accordance with the needs of students with special needs.
