Abstract

The objective of study was to provide an overview of the structure of rhetoric and linguistic features of the introduction of Indonesian research articles, especially the field of law. This study was descriptive method. Technique of collecting data used documentation in the form of scientific journal consist of 50 article jurnal of research of Indonesian language in field of law. Technique of data analyzing of this study was step model Problem Justifying Project (PJP) to present rhetorical style of preliminary article of Artikel Jurnal Penelitian (AJP) Indonesian language of Law Science. They were seen from sentence pattern, effective sentence, direct sentence, indirect sentence, active sentence, passive sentence, equivalent compound sentences, multi-layered sentences, and paragraph forming. The results show that: 1) the structure of the rhetoric of the introduction of Indonesian study articles, especially in the field of legal science, ie with the structure of states of background knowledge, explaining the field of research, justifying research activities, and announcing research to achieve the ultimate communicative purpose; 2) linguistic features of the introduction of Indonesian language research articles, especially the field of law dominated by the active sentence and the use of the word coordinator additions.Keywords: rhetorical structure, linguistic features, introduction ofresearch journal articles STRUKTUR RETORIKA DAN FITUR LINGUISTIK BAGIAN PENDAHULUAN ARTIKEL JURNAL PENELITIAN BERBAHASA INDONESIA BIDANG ILMU HUKUMAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang struktur retorika dan fitur linguistik bagian pendahuluan artikel peneltian berbahasa Indonesia khususnya bidang ilmu hukum. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi berupa jurnal ilmiah terdiri dari 50 artikel jurnal penelitian bahasa Indonesia dalam bidang ilmu hukum. Teknik analisis data menggunakan langkah model Problem Justifying Project (PJP) untuk mempresentasikan gaya retorika bagian pendahuluan Artikel Jurnal Penelitian (AJP) berbahasa Indonesia bidang ilmu hukum, dilihat dari pola kalimat, kalimat efektif, kalimat langsung, kalimat tidak langsung, kalimat aktif, kalimat pasif, kalimat majemuk setara, kalimat majemuk bertingkat, dan pembentukkan paragraf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) struktur retorika bagian pendahuluan artikel peneltian berbahasa Indonesia khususnya bidang ilmu hukumyaitu dengan struktur menyatakan latar belakang pengetahuan, menjelaskan bidang penelitian, menjustifikasi kegiatan penelitian, dan mengumumkan penelitian untuk mencapai tujuan komunikatif utama; 2) fitur linguistik bagian pendahuluan artikel peneltian berbahasa Indonesia khususnya bidang ilmu hukum didominasi oleh kalimat aktif dan penggunaan kata penghubung koordinatif penambahan.Kata kunci:  struktur retorika, fitur lingusitik, pendahuluan artikel jurnal penelitian

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the strategy model of early childhood language politeness in multi-ethnic communication with different social rules in Bengkulu. The research method used was a cross-sectional study design, with a study of subjects of different ages. The research subjects referred to were children aged 2, 3, 4 and 5 years in Bengkulu. Data collection was carried out by participating and non-participating observations, accompanied by data recording using an electronic recording device and field note cards. Data analysis was performed using flow analysis techniques. The results show that the strategy model for early childhood language politeness in multi-ethnic communication in Bengkulu is using elaborate politeness acquisition model and children's language politeness acquisition model that takes into account social distance when speaking by stringing 3 words when greeting, introducing oneself, expressing respect, thanking. love, apologize, ask permission, ask for help, ask for things, command, and promise. The series of words are meant to reflect the character development of early childhood.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to develop the material of poetry appreciation at the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education of STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau. The type of this research was Research and Development (R&D) which was developed by the Dick, Carey, and Carey. Data collection was conducted through questionnaire, interviews, and tests. The data analysis and validity test were performed by using pretest and posttest of performance. The data is then processed by using a simple paired t test with the SPSS 20 program.  The result of this research can be measured Asym.Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000... < 0,05. Therefore the value of t-hit 36,956 and t-tab 2,045 to (d) 17 and alpa 0,05, so it can be concluded  t-hit <t-tab, so Ho has rejected, an Hi was accepted, its’ meaning that the average value of students' ability to appreciate poetry after using instructional materials as a result of development was equal to 70 or more than 70. Thus, the model of instructional materials developed has been feasible and effective for lecturers

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic period requires online learning in Discourse Analysis Courses that are not bound by place and time by providing interactive activities and supported by complete teaching materials. The learning method is the Moodle-based Blended Learning method. This study aims to describe the results of increasing the ability to analyze discourse through the moodle-based blended learning method in the Master Program of Indonesia Language Education, University of Bengkulu. The research method used is a classroom action research method with the model of Kemmis, McTaggart, & Nixon. Data collection techniques used are tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis and the determination of the indicators for the success of the action. Test the validity of the data used triangulation of data sources and member check. The results showed an increase in activeness, motivation, independence, and student learning outcomes, especially in analyzing discourse after the application of the moodle-based blended learning method. Increasing active, motivated students and the emergence of independence through synchronous activities used Zoom Cloud Meeting and asynchronous activities through Moodle on the website https://elearning.unib.ac.id/ and assisted by Whatsapp. The increase was seen in learning outcomes in analyzing discourse, especially the ability to analyze the description, interpretation, and explanation of cycle 1 with an average value of 77.3 with the criteria B + increased in cycle 2 of 80.75 with criteria A-.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan pemilihan perangkat retorika pada pidato presiden Republik Indonesia dalam mempromosikan kebijakan pemerintah dalam bidang pendidikan. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis wacana kritis model Van Dijk. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, wawancara, dan catat. Teknik analisis pada tiga kerangka dimensi yaitu pada teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan uji validitas pakar dan triangulasi sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa khusus Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono dan Presiden Joko Widodo dalam menggunakan perangkat retorika, baik dalam bentuk kalimat, diksi, kohesi, dan koherensi bukan hanya memberikan janji saja pada masyarakat dalam setiap bahasa yang disampaikan dalam pidatonya, tetapi benar-benar dilaksanakan khususnya pada program pendidikan. Walaupun ada beberapa program pendidikan yang menjadi janji dan harapan di masa yang akan datang, tetapi sebagian besar dilaksanakan pada masa kerjanya. Perlu diketahui bahwa perangkat retorika yang disusun pada pidato resmi di bidang pendidikan disusun oleh tim kerja kepresidenan. Berbeda dengan pidato tidak resmi lebih dominan disusun oleh presiden secara pribadi sehingga terlihat pidato yang disampaikan masih ada yang menggunakan kalimat minor dan mayor, diksi slang, diksi konotasi, diksi jargon, idiom, dan kohesi elipsis yang seharusnya dihindari dalam penggunaan pidato kenegaraan presiden Republik Indonesia.Kata kunci: perangkat retorika, pidato presiden, kebijakan pemerintah, bidang pendidikan The objective of this research was to explain the selection of rhetorical instruments in the speech of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in promoting government policies in education. The research method used is Van Dijk model of critical discourse analysis. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques, interviews, and notes. The analysis technique is based on three dimensional frameworks, namely the text, social cognition, and social context. The data validity test used expert validity test and data source triangulation. The results show that specifically President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and President Joko Widodo in using rhetorical tools, both in the form of sentences, diction, cohesion, and coherence, not only give promises to the public in every language delivered in their speeches, but are actually implemented specifically in education programs. Although there are several educational programs that have made promises and hopes for the future, most of them were implemented during their tenure. It should be noted that the rhetoric set in formal speeches on education was compiled by the presidential working team. In contrast to informal speeches, the more dominant is composed by the president personally so that there are still speeches that use minor and major sentences, slang diction, connotation diction, jargon diction, idioms, and elliptical cohesion which should be avoided in the use of the state speech of the president of the Republic of IndonesiaKeywords: rhetoric devices, presidential speeches, government policies, education

Abstract

Kajian kerangka bagian hasil penelitian dan pembahasan ditulis sesuai dengan isi bab serta ditentukan oleh peneliti atau penulis dengan cara mencontoh hasil tulisan kakak tingkat. Padahal penulisan bagian hasil penelitian dan pembahasan harus merujuk pada teori Swales yang dituangkan dalam buku Panduan Penulisan Tesis. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini menggambarkan tahapan bagian hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dalam artikel tulisan mahasiswa agar kegiatan memindahkan suatu hasil penelitian tidak akan terjadi lagi. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode analisis isi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Data penelitian ini adalah 20 artikel dari tesis mahasiswa Program Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia periode wisuda Desember 2019 sampai Agustus 2020. Analisis data dilakukan dengan aplikasi NVIVO.  Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa tahapan penyajian artikel pada bagian hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan adanya peralihan dari satu gagasan ke gagasan yang lain. Namun, gagasan tersebut masih erat kaitannya dengan gagasan utama. Walau demikian, keberadaan setiap tahapan dalam bagian hasil penelitian dan pembahasan sesuai dengan keberadaan tujuan gagasan tersebut. Keberadaan tahapan tersebut utuh dan runtut sesuai dengan prinsip lokalitas dan prinsip analogi. Sayangnya setiap gagasan yang dimunculkan belum memaknai hasil penelitian yang dikaitkan dengan hasil penelitian relevan sehingga belum muncul kebaruan hasil penelitian pada bagian pembahasan.Kata kunci: tahapan artikel, bagian hasil penelitian dan pembahasan The study framework section of the research and discussion results is written in accordance with the contents of the chapter and is determined by the researcher or writer by imitating the writings of seniors. Even though the writing of the research and discussion results section must refer to the Swales theory as outlined in the Thesis Writing Guide. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe the framework of the research results section and discussion in student writing articles so that the activity of transferring a research result will not happen again. The research method uses content analysis methods. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques. The data of this research are 20 articles from the student's thesis of the Program Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia period December 2019 to August 2020. Data analysis was carried out using the NVIVO application. The results of the study illustrate that the stages of presenting articles in the research results and discussion sections indicate a transition from one idea to another. However, this idea is still closely related to the main idea. However, the existence of each stage in the research and discussion results section corresponds to the existence of the idea's objectives. The existence of these stages is complete and coherent in accordance with the principle of locality and the principle of analogy. Unfortunately, every idea that is raised does not make sense of the research results that are associated with relevant research results, so the novelty of the research results has not yet appeared in the discussion section.Keywords: article ttages, research results and discussion section

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk: (1) membekali pengetahuan dan pemahaman Guru Bahasa Indonesia tentang menulis artikel jurnal ilmiah dan (2) membekali Guru Bahasa Indonesia agar terampil membuat artikel jurnal ilmiah yang sesuai dan dapat mempublikasi dalam dalam jurnal ilmiah ber-ISSN. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dan pendampingan dalam menyusun artikel jurnal ilmiah. Materi yang disampaikan dalam sosialisasi adalah cara menulis artikel jurnal, yaitu hakikat, ragam artikel, sistematika artikel ilmiah, langkah-langkah menulis artikel, dan mempersiapkan artikel ilmiah yang siap dipublikasikan di artikel jurnal ilmiah nasional terakreditasi. Rancangan evaluasi untuk mengukur keberhasilan pelatihan adalah tes tertulis yang mencakup pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang menulis artikel ilmiah meliputi hakikat artikel ilmiah, ragam artikel ilmiah, sistematika menulis artikel ilmiah, dan komponen artikel jurnal ilmiah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan mulai Mei sampai dengan November 2019 di Kabupaten Musi Rawas, Sumatera Selatan. Khalayak sasaran yang dilibatkan adalah guru-guru Bahasa Indonesia di Kabupaten Musi Rawas, Sumatera Selatan. Hasil capaian pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan artikel jurnal ilmiah sangat bermanfaat bagi Guru Bahasa Indonesia Kabupaten Musi Rawas, mereka telah mengetahui dan memahami cara menulis artikel jurnal, dan mereka telah mampu menulis artikel jurnal ilmiah dengan baik. Kegiatan pegabdian perlu dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan yang lebih intensif agar mereka lebih mampu menulis arikel jurnal dan dapat dipuplikasikan pada jurnal ber-ISSN dan bahkan dapat dimuat di jurnal nasional terakreditasi.

Abstract

The understanding of Indonesian high school level teachers in Bengkulu City on writing scientific articles on research results is still low. This is evidenced by the small number of Indonesian language teacher publications in accredited national journals and it has an impact on teachers having difficulty advancing in rank. For this reason, the aim of this community service is to provide understanding to Indonesian high school teachers in Bengkulu City in writing scientific articles and how to publish them in accredited national journals through webinars and mentoring activities. The community service method uses webinars and online mentoring through the Zoom Cloud Meeting. Participants totaled 37 Indonesian high school teachers in Bengkulu City. Community service techniques use lecture, discussion, and practice techniques. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The results of the webinar indicate that the Indonesian language teacher is able to write articles quite well, starting from writing titles, abstracts, introductions, methods, research results, discussions, conclusions and suggestions, and bibliography. However, some teachers still have difficulty in pouring out the introductory section, especially mapping research positions based on relevant research results, difficulty in pouring out the discussion, especially finding the novelty of their research results, and difficulty finding references from online journals. Then, from the results of mentoring, Indonesian language teachers still have difficulty in submitting and the process of fixing articles in the OJS system. Keywords: webinars; accompaniment; scientific journal articles; accredited national journal

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain figurative language or style of sentence structure in terms of shape and meaning in the absence of direct discourse of drama serial "Upin and Ipin" by Simon Monjack. The theory of language style used referenced from Keraf (2010), both based on sentence structure and style that in terms of direct or absence of meaning consisting of rhetorical style and the style of figurative language. The research method used is descriptive method, the data source is the discourse of drama serial "Upin and Ipin" by Simon Monjack and data in the form of results from the transcription of spoken language into written language in discourse drama "Upin and Ipin" by Simon Monjack. Data collection techniques used were recording techniques, while the data analysis techniques that amounted to 6 episodes, the order is as follows: (1) transcription, (2) encoding, (5) identification, (4) classification, and (5) interpretation. The results provide information that style based on the structure of sentences in discourse drama series "Upin and Upin" by Simon Monzack dominated by stylistic repetition. Another type of style that is based on sentence structure, style climax, anticlimax, antithesis, and parallel. While the immediate absence of meaning in terms of divided into two parts, namely the rhetorical and figurative. Rhetorical style of language that appears dominated by style and erotesis koreksio. In addition it also found asonansi style, apofasis, and eufemismus. Style of figurative language that appears most are kind of stylistic allusion is cynicism. In addition, there are also stylistic simile, metaphor, sarcasm, and style Innuendo.

Abstract

This thesis titled "Comparison The Application Of Strategy Critical Incident With Strategy Mind Mapping in Learning Writing Poetry Students' Classroom VIII SMP Negeri L. Sidoharjo” Research problem, "is there any significant difference between the application of strategies critical incident with the strategy mind mapping in learning to write poetry graders VIII SMP Negeri L. Sidoharjo? Destination the research, "for know the difference who significant between the application of strategy Critical Incident with strategy Mind Mapping in learning writing poetry students' classroom VIII SMP Negeri L. Sidoharjo Types of experiment research pure. Population the research entire students classroom VIII SMP Negeri L. Sidoharjo totaled 174 students. Two class as samples selected "were randomly flocking" namely, the class VIII.2 as experimental I class with implementing the strategy critical incident and class VIII.3 as experimental II class with applying strategy mind mapping. Number of each class of samples 34 students. Data collection techniques tests. The acquisition value of the average pretest experimental I class 66.7 and experimental II class 66.9, whereas postes experimental I class 80.2 and experimental II class is 78.4. Acquisition data is were analyzed with test-t at significant level 0,05 = 2,00. Based on the calculation known to t (1,21) < t (2,00) Ho is accepted, then the not the existence of differences who significant in learning writing poetry students' classroom. VIII SMP Negeri L. Sidoharjo. with applying strategy of Critical Incident and strategies Mind Mapping.
