Abstract

This research was motivated by the phenomenon of students behaving verbally aggressively at SMP Negeri 5 Jambi City. Verbal aggressive behavior itself can be influenced by various factors, one of which is interpersonal communication. The aim of this research is to measure the level of interpersonal communication, the level of verbal aggressive behavior, and to determine the influence of interpersonal communication on verbal aggressive behavior. This research uses quantitative research methods with simple regression analysis. The sampling technique used was the Slovin formula with a total research sample of 285 students. Data collection tools used interpersonal communication questionnaires and verbal aggressive behavior questionnaires with Likert scale measurements. The results of the research show that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05 and the t value > t table or -13.298 > 1.973, which means that there is a significant influence between interpersonal communication on verbal aggressive behavior, with the direction of the influence being negative.

Abstract

The order of human life started from the birth of a parenting style given by parents. Parenting plays a role in education and teaching to control and regulate children’s lives during the span of their development. Authoritarian parenting is part of the three types of parenting styles proposed by Hurlock. The characteristics of this form of authoritarian parenting are strict controls, strict discipline, and a lack of freedom in making decisions for children. Judging from the form of aspects arising from authoritarian parenting tend to lead to negative personality forms. Therefore, the relationship between parenting in the formation of one’s personality is very close. Parenting is the thing that underlies the formation of a person’s character and personality for the future. The good or bad of a person’s personality can be seen from the upbringing received from both parents and the environment in which the individual grows and develops.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and learning motivation of Guidance and Counseling students class of 2021 and 2022. The approach in this research uses a quantitative approach with a correlation method. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample size of 80 Guidance and Counseling student respondents from the class of 2021 and 2022. Based on the research results, a significance value of 0.000 0.05 was obtained and the r value was r table or -0.675 0.2172. So Ho is rejected, which means there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and learning motivation for Guidance and Counseling students from the class of 2021 and 2022.

Abstract

Kematangan emosi merupakan kecakapan individu mengelola serta mengekspresikan emosi secara adaptif dan menjadi prasyarat penting bagi perkembangan psikososial remaja. Ia mencakup kemampuan mengenali, meregulasi, dan mengungkapkan emosi secara sehat. Program pengabdian ini dirancang untuk mendampingi siswa memperdalam pemahaman tentang kematangan emosi melalui pendekatan cinematherapy yang diperkaya kearifan lokal. Pada konteks sekolah, kematangan emosi berkontribusi langsung terhadap motivasi belajar, kualitas relasi sosial, dan kontrol diri. Cinematherapy dipilih karena efektif sebagai media reflektif-interaktif, sementara muatan budaya lokal disisipkan untuk memperteguh identitas kultural dan internalisasi nilai moral. Kegiatan dilaksanakan berjenjang: asesmen awal, kurasi film bernuansa kearifan lokal, pemutaran terpandu disertai dialog reflektif, dan evaluasi pemahaman. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam mengenali, memahami, dan mengelola emosi secara lebih adaptif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa cinematherapy berbasis kearifan lokal layak dipertimbangkan sebagai alternatif metode bimbingan untuk memperkuat kematangan emosi di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

The challenges of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are increasingly diverse in this digitalization era, classic and basic problems cannot be solved such as Lack of Experience, Access to Consumers and Capital. Basically, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are the nation's economic shield in the midst of a crisis and are able to absorb almost all of the workforce. However, through digitization and the use of the 'book stall' application, it is hoped that it can describe problems for business actors such as recording for business actors who are less experienced and can access the market so that they can cover up these classic problems. With this digitalization, the work of business actors is also of higher quality and improves the professionalism of business actors.

Abstract

This literature study investigates the development of strengths-based counseling publications. This research highlights scientific developments, authors, and countries that are developing in family-based counseling research. The findings reveal that the development of strengths-based counseling publications began after 2000, marked by a large number of publications. 2022-2024 will be the highest year for strength-based counseling publications in article form. America has 131 publications, while Indonesia has 48 publications. Medical science has become the highest publication in the context of strengths-based counseling. The use of Strengths-Based Counseling in Indonesia and on a global scale shows optimistic progress. School counselors can effectively provide services to clients by utilizing a Strengths-Based Counseling approach, which can contribute to improved psychological well-being by leveraging individual strengths and community supports

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of emotion regulation on aggressive behavior among students at SMP Negeri 19 Kota Jambi. The research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design and involved 256 students selected through stratified random sampling. The research instruments consisted of an emotion regulation questionnaire (29 items) and an aggressive behavior questionnaire (26 items). The results showed that students’ emotion regulation levels were categorized as high (74.1%), while their aggressive behavior was categorized as moderate (56.4%). Regression analysis revealed a significance value of 0.000 with r = 0.468, indicating that emotion regulation contributed 46.8% to aggressive behavior. The better the students' ability to regulate their emotions, the lower their tendency to exhibit aggressive behavior. These findings highlight the importance of preventive Guidance and Counseling services in strengthening students’ emotion regulation to reduce the potential for aggressive behavior in the school environment
