Abstract

To control the speed rotation of DC motor in single quadran as expected can be done by controlling SCRtrigger angle that connected with the armartur, the trigger angle can be generated by using LM324 as opampand comparator. The changes of current (I) on armartur winding to be reference for DC Motor speedrotation. The value of armature current for further used as feedback that connected with resistor (R)which has a very low resistance so that it can generate voltage (IxR) which represents the motor speedrotation. If the motor speed rotation different from speed reference then system will makes adjustments bychanging the trigger angle of SCR so that the motor speed rotation constant.

Abstract

Multilevel Inverter (MLI) single phase seven level in this research is constructed by using cascaded H-Bridge modification which consists of three independent DC sources in form of 9 Volt batteries which arranged in series where each source separated by MOSFET that used as switch and uses three diodes and furthermore connected with H-Bridge circuits which serves to reverse the direction of the electric current to producing alternating voltage on the resistif load. MOSFET switching circuits was designed by using SPWM Method that has modified from previous Researchers, by using the operational amplifier component that used as comparator between the reference wave in form of sinusoidal wave which having maximum amplitude 9 volts with carrier voltage that has been modified from DC sources as many as three (1.5 Volt, 4.5 Volt and 7.5 Volt) and use analog and digital electronic components which function to activate the gate of each MOSFET in the power circuits. THD that generated in this study by 11.6% while the research [3] produces THD 18.07%, and 18.40% for methods PD (Phase Disposition) PWM, APOD (Altenative Phase Opposition Disposition) PWM, thus this system is able to produce better THD than previous research

Abstract

This SCR trigger circuit was constructed by using Op-Amp LM324N, diodes, IC Regulator, and some others electronics equipment, this circuit used to activate SCR according to triggering angle desired by turning potentio on the duty cycle circuit, the changes of voltage value from potensio furthermore will be compared with the wave that produced by the sawtooth generator circuit with using an Op-Amp, it can producing an adjustable pulse waveform, futhermore connected to an isolation circuit in the form of a transformer which has a separate coil on the secondary side. This triggering circuit is designed to drive a single phase half wave controlled rectifier or full wave controlled rectifier that use a resistive load, as for the output waveform at the load is observed visually by using osciloscop, so that the level of accuracy produced will vary for testing at the same triggering angle by several different people.

Abstract

The fifteen level single phase Multilevel Inverter (MLI) in this research is constructed by using three independent DC sources in form of 12, 24, and 48 Volts batteries which arranged in series where each source separated by MOSFET that used as switch and uses three diodes and furthermore connected with H-Bridge circuits which serves to reverse the direction of the electric current to producing alternating current on the resistif load. MOSFET switching circuit is designed by using Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) methode which using AC PLN current as control reference system, by using the operational amplifier component that used as comparator between the reference wave with carrier voltage from DC sources as many as sevens where use analog and digital electronic components which function to activate the gate of each MOSFET in the power circuits. By using combination of voltage arrangement battery this MLI can produce an output wave not much different from previous research that is equal to 15 levels, THD of 5.6%, and frequency of 50 Hz but the number of switches, diodes and carrier voltages used is less than previous researches.

Abstract

Design and simulation Multilevel  inverter three-phase  fifteen-level in this research using modulation technics of sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) in which input voltage sources that used was arranged as symetrical and separate for each phase by using free DC source in form of battery 12 Volt, 24 Volt, and 48 Volt as well as uses seven MOSFETs for switching in each phase. To produce fifteen levels, it can be done by using a combination method of battery arrangement by activating the MOSFET switching circuit according to the results of the comparison between the reference wave in the form of a three-phase sinusoidal wave and the carrier wave in the form of a free DC source by using SPWM modulation circuits. SPWM modulation circuits15level in this research was constructed by using an Op-Amp as a comparator, AND, NOT and OR gates as well as several other electronic components.The H-Bridge circuits is used to reverse the direction of the electric current so that it can to produce alternating current on the load side which is resistive and arranged in a star connection (Y), by using the PSIM simulation program, the THD value that produced  for each phase was relatively the same at 5.6%.
