Abstract

Keluhan dan tanggapan siswa masih kurang bervariasi. Sebenarnya ada beberapa jenis dan strategi dinyatakan dan dipilih untuk membuat keluhan dan tanggapan keluhan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada tindak lisan dan tanggapan lisan mengenai keluhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenali dan mengerti jenis dan strategi pada tindak lisan dan tanggapan lisan yang digunakan siswa sekolah kejuruan dalam membuat keluhan dan menanggapi keluhan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 1 Sukasada. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan teknik elisitasi melalui simulasi percakapan. Siswa diminta untuk mengeluh dan menanggapi keluhan berdasarkan lima situasi berbeda. Data dikategorikan dan dianalisis berdasarkan teori mengenai jenis dan strategi tentang keluhan dan tanggapannya yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa kebanyakan menyatakan jenis keluhan langsung yang bentuknya tertuju pada seseorang yang ada dalam situasi. Lalu, siswa kebanyakan menyatakan jenis penerimaan untuk menanggapi keluhan yang berarti mereka mengkonfirmasi keluhan tersebut. Di sisi lain, siswa kebanyakan memilih penuduhan langsung sebagai strategi tindak lisan dalam keluhan yang berarti mereka secara langsung menyatakan keluhan tersebut. Sementara itu, mereka memilih penjelasan sebagai tanggapan lisan yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan alasan kenapa keluhan tersebut dapat terjadi.Kata Kunci : tindakan keluhan, tindakan ujaran, tindakan respon, kategori, strategi This study intends to examine the locutionary and perlocutionary act categorizations of complaint and to investigate the locutionary and perlocutionary act strategies of complaint. There were 34 students as the subjects and they were asked to complain to their peers by given five different situations. The data were collected by using elicitation technique. The results of this study showed that the students used two categorizations for locutionary acts of complaint; Direct Complaint (187 complaints) and Indirect Complaint (142 complaints). For the perlocutionary act, they used four categorizations namely Acceptance (175 responses), Partial Acceptance (80 responses), Rejection (63 responses), and Disregarding (16 responses). In locutionary act strategies of complaint, the students used eight strategies; Hints (13 complaints), Annoyance (51 complaints), Ill Consequence (6 complaints), Direct Accusation (133 complaints), Indirect Accusation (39 complaints), Modified Blame (26 complaints), Explicit Blame in Person (34 complaints), and Explicit Blame in Condition (31 complaints). They also used nine strategies in responding the complaints. It included IFIDs (73 responses), Explanation or Account (95 responses), Acceptance of Responsibility (45 responses), Expression of Appeal (10 responses), Refusing Responsibility (43 responses), Concern to the Hearer (0 responses), Promise to Forbearance (11 responses), Offer of Repair (38 responses), and Emotional Exclamation (21 responses).keyword : complaint act, locutionary act, perlocutionary act, categorizations, strategies

Abstract

The use of ICT-based learning media were rarely used to present learning material especially in the form of video made by using Camtasia Studio. The purpose of this study is to develop learning media in form of video made by using Camtasia Studio and to identify the quality of Camtasia video as learning media for fourth grade student. Thirty students of fourth grade students in SD 3 Banjar Jawa involved in implementation. Questionnaire was used to get response from the students and their English teacher. The result is significance and gets positive respond from the students and the teacher. The quality of the media assessed by three experts is excellent, good, and average. It suggested for the teachers to involve this media in learning process. It also suggested to the next researcher to conduct the related study in depth.Kata Kunci : Camtasia Studio, media for learning, young learner Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT jarang digunakan dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran khususnya media dalam bentuk video yang dibuat menggunakan aplikasi Camtasia Studio. Penelitian ini bertijuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk video yang dibuat menggunakan Camtasia Studio dan untuk mengidentifikasi kualitas dari video tersebut sebagai media pembelajaran.untuk siswa kelas empat. Tiga puluh siswa dari kelas empat di SD 3 Banajr Jawa terlibat dalam proses implementasi. kuisioner digunakan untuk mendapatkan tanggapan dari siswa dan guru bahasa Inggris, Hasil dari penelitian ini signifikan dan mendapat tanggapan positif dari para siswa dan guru. Kualitas dari media tersbut yang dinilai oleh tiga ahli dinilai semua sangat baik, baik, dan rata-rata. Disarankan kepada para guru untuk melibatkan media daam proses belajar. Hal ini pula disarankan pula untuk peneliti lainnya untuk melakukan penelitian sejenis lebih dalam lagi.keyword : Camtasia Studio, media pembelajaran, pelajar muda

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan media pembelajaran melalui aplikasi camtasia dalam bentuk video pembelajaran (2) menganalisis kelayakan produk guna memperkaya kosakata pelajar di Taman Kanak-Kanak. Subjek penelitian ini yakni para siswa dan guru di TK Lab. Undiksha, Singaraja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian desain dan pengembangan (DDR) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), yang pengimplementasiannya terbatas pada tahap uji coba produk dan hanya menggunakan evaluasi formatif. Instrument yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yakni interview awal dan interview akhir, silabus analisis, rubrik validitas instrument, rubrik penilaian ahli, serta lembar observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan kualitatif serta kualitatif teknik. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yakni enam topic atau tema pada semester dua. Hasil dari penilitian ini adalah media pengajaran berbasis camtasia dalam bentuk video pembelajaran. Kualitas produk dari evaluasi ahli menunjukan bahwa skor yang didapatkan dari ahli media yakni 38 yang dikategorikan sebagai “excellent” kualitas media. Skor yang diperoleh dari ahli materi 1 terhadap produk yakni 39.8 yang dikategorikan sebagai kualitas media yang “excellent”. Terlebihlagi, skor yang diperoleh dari ahli materi 2 yakni 38.3 yang juga dikategorikan sebagai media yang berkualitas “excellent”. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis camtasia layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.Kata Kunci : camtasia, media pembelajaran, pelajar anak usia dini This research is intended to (1) produce a suitable teaching media through camtasia in the form of learning video (2) analyze the eligibility of the products to enrich the kindergarten students’ vocabulary. The subject of this research were the students and the teachers in TK Lab. Undiksha, Singaraja. This Design and Development Research (DDR) used ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), which the implementation limited to the tryout of the product and used formative evaluation only. The instruments used in this study were preliminary interview and post interview, syllabus analysis, instruments validity rubrics, expert judgment rubrics and observation sheet. The data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The learning media that developed were six topics/theme in the second semester. The result of this present research are camtasia-based teaching media in the form of learning video. The quality of the media form the experts’ evaluation reveals that the average score from the media expert is 38 which categorize as an excellent media quality. Then the score from the material expert 1 is 39.8 that categorize as an excellent media quality. Moreover, the score from the material expert 2 is 38.3 which also categorize as an excellent media quality. Therefore, this research conclude that the camtasia-based teaching media in the form of learning videos is worthy to be used as teaching media for the young learners. keyword : camtasia, teaching media, young learners

Abstract

Kebutuhan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam aktifitas pembelajaran sangatlah penting, terlebih lagi semenjak pembelajaran di era sekarang ini dipengaruhi oleh Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan menjadi Edukasi 4.0. Maka dari itu, selama masa transisi, para guru membutuhkan bantuan untuk membuat media berbasis teknologi untuk diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan media pembelajar berbasis story jumper yang digunakan untuk memperkaya kosa kata murid TK, dan mengetahui kualitas dari media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian Design and Development Research. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru, sebagai pengguna, dan murid-murid di TK Lab. Undiksha. Penelitian menggunakan ADDIE model selama pengembangannya. Untuk mengetahui kualitas media yang akan digunakan, ahli menggunakan observasi kelas, kuesioner dari 3 guru setelah pengimplementasian media, dan wawancara dari 3 siswa. Menurut para guru, media yang digunakan sudah bagus untuk membantu guru menyampaikan materi pembelajaran, dan terlebih lagi medianya sangat gampang untuk digunakan. Sedangkan saat wawancara, para siswa mengaku bahwa media yang digunakan mampu menari perhatian mereka karena medianya sangat menyenangkan dan menarik dalam berbagai aspek. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media melalui proses ADDIE yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation, dan menurut temuan penelitian, media yang digunakan sudah bagus dan bisa digunakan untuk implementasi selanjutnya. Dari penelitian ini, para guru bisa merujuk pada Story Jumper saat ingin mengembangkan media berbasis teknologi mereka sendiri.Kata Kunci : Kata Kunci: ADDIE model, Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Story Jumper, Pelajar Usia Dini. The demand of integrating technology in teaching and learning session is essential since today’s learning is affected by Revolution Industry 4.0 and became Education 4.0. Thus, during the transition, teachers are in need of help in creating suitable media to be implemeneted in their learning. This research aimed to know the development of story jumper-based teaching media into media that were used to enrich kindergarten students’ vocabulary, and to know the quality of the media. This research was Design and Development Research. The subject of this research were the teachers, as the user, and the students of TK Lab. Undiksha. This research used ADDIE model during the development. To know the quality of the media, the researcher used classroom observation, post-implementation questionnaire from 3 teachers, and an interview of 3 students. According to the teachers, the media are good in helping the teachers delivering the material, and moreover it is very easy to use. Meanwhile in the interview, the students admitted that the media were able to attract their attention because the media were fun and attractive in many ways. As the result, the development of the media went through the process of ADDIE that are Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, and the media produced are good enough to be used in further implementation. From this research, the teachers could refer to Story Jumper when developing an ICT-based teaching media because of its practicality and benefits in helping them achieving the learning outcomes.keyword : Keywords: ADDIE model, Story Jumper-based teaching media, Young learners.

Abstract

The English teacher does not involve a net meeting during online English learning. The net meeting is vital because it becomes a space for students to communicate and interact with their friends and teachers. It can trigger feelings, and they do not want to be actively involved in learning English online because they cannot experience the actual teaching experience and interact with their peers and teachers directly. This study aims to analyze student interactions and the difficulties involved in online English learning. This research uses mixed research methods by following a sequential explanatory research design. The sample in this study consisted of 140 students and was selected using the cluster random sampling technique. The process of collecting data in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews. The results of this study indicate that the involvement of students during online English learning is included in the high level seen from every aspect. However, there are some difficulties involved in learning English online, including internet connection problems, boredom, and loss of concentration, which psychologically affect motivation. Then, the slow response makes it difficult for students to contract online. In addition, the limited knowledge of English and the lack of direct interaction with the teacher, which makes students understand English subject matter independently, and the lack of direct interaction with fellow students also establish friendships with other students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether the use of digital media namely Hyperlink PowerPoint is affected or does not affect students' learning achievement. This research used mix method design which combines both quantitative and qualitative data collection. The population in this study was Junior High School with 2 samples, namely class VIIA and VIID. This study used a post-test-only control group design type. The scenario applied in this paper is described as one class (experiment group) was taught using digital media Hyperlink PowerPoint. On the other hand, the other class (control group) is taught using the conventional method. After several meetings, both classes were given a post-test. The post-test results were analyzed using SPSS 23 for t-test and size effect analysis to show if there was a significant difference between the two samples. The findings in this study are (1) The results of the T-test show that if the effect of the treatment using Hyperlink PowerPoint media gives significant achievement results to experimental students, the large difference measured using Cohen's size effect shows the number 0.051 or moderate category. (2) Results from the questionnaire showed positive results, namely: first, all students in the experimental group agreed with the use of Hyperlink PowerPoint media. Second, although there are 2 obstacles to the implementation, the activities can be carried out well. Third, after seeing the results found significant differences, the use of Hyperlink PowerPoint media deserves to be continually used as learning media.

Abstract

Technology is an essential factor that has a significant impact on improving aspects of human life, especially in education. Applying the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a must done by the teacher in this era to create a meaningful teaching and learning process. However, not all teachers can integrate their technical knowledge into the learning activity. The practical thing that can be done to apply the technological knowledge possessed by a teacher to create effective learning using technology is developing a learning media, especially in the form of an animated learning video. This study aimed to develop an animated learning video as a supplementary media in teaching recount text for grade 8 junior high school students and analyse the quality of the product. This design and development study used the modified ADDIE model, which included the analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages. The observation, interview, and questionnaire methods were used as the data collection methods of the study. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The study indicated that based on the learning content expert test, the validation percentage result was 87,5% which was a good qualification. Meanwhile, based on the learning media expert test, the validation percentage result was 95%, an outstanding qualification. Therefore, the animated learning video is feasible to be used in the learning process. The research implication is that the animated learning video can help students grasp the material in the learning process.

Abstract

The use of greeting terms in each region is different and this is influenced by social factors. This is a recent phenomenon that is interesting for further research. This study was aimed to analyze the types of address terms used in Menyali village and the social factors which influenced those address terms. Descriptive qualitative was used as the method of this study. The data were collected by conducting observation and interview through the use of observation sheet and interview guide as the instruments. There were three local villagers involved as the informants of this study. They were selected by using purposive technique sampling. The collected data were analyzed by using qualitative data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that; 1) there were twelve types of address terms spoken by people in Menyali village; kinship terms, special nicknames, pet names, title only, first names, intimacy names, respect names, mockery names, pronouns, occupational terms, religious terms, zero address terms, 2) there were seven social factors influenced the address terms used in Menyali village; sex, family relationship, occupational hierarchy, age, social status, the official position of the interlocutor as the second person, and ethnicity.

Abstract

Language teaching needs to use media and models that help student learning activities. And task-based learning is a learning model that has been widely applied in schools but does not yet have the appropriate criteria for this model in facilitating literacy activities. The role of creative and innovative learning media is also very important in increasing student motivation in literacy activities based on TBLT. This research aims to analyze the needs of students as initial stage to develop a TBLT-based digital story book to promote student literacy activities in 7th grade students. This study uses the Design & Development model by Richey & Klein as a research methodology. There are four stages in this method carried out by researchers namely, Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. In collecting data, several instruments used were syllabus analysis, interview guides, observations, questionnaires, blueprints, and assessment rubrics. The results show that TBLT-based digital storybooks help teachers and students in the learning process and literacy activities as innovative media and provide motivation to be interested in literacy.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has posed significant challenges to the education system. Most schools with limited or no experience with online learning and schools with no prepared online learning sources will encounter some challenges. This research analyzes similarities and differences between the difficulties faced by teacher and students for schools in different locations. Schools in rural and urban area of Buleleng were chosen, 2 elementary school, 2 junior high school, and 2 senior high schools. Teacher and students in those schools were observed and interviewed related to their online learning implementation, their difficulties, as well as their ways to cope with the difficulties. In analyzing the qualitative data consists of three steps such as, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The result shows that the difficulties faced were not so much different, between urban and rural school teachers and students. Most of them mention internet connection as the problem. However, their ways to cope with the difficulties are varied. Urban and rural teachers and students have their own way to solve their problems. These differences give insight in order to face difficulties in implementing online learning.
