Abstract

Introduction: Patient satisfaction is one of the goals of improving healthcare service quality. The level of patient satisfaction in 2020 in several provinces in Indonesia showed a satisfaction rate of 42.8% in Central Maluku and 44.4% in West Sumatra, with 58.6% overall. This indicates that patient satisfaction still needs to be improved. One factor contributing to low patient satisfaction is the implementation of patient safety, and the caring behavior of nurses is crucial in meeting patient satisfaction. Low service quality can lead to patient dissatisfaction and various complaints.Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between caring behavior and the implementation of patient safety with patient satisfaction in inpatient wards. Methods: This research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional approach, with sampling techniques employing proportional random sampling, resulting in a sample size of 162 individuals. Data collection for each variable was conducted using a questionnaire.Results: Based on statistical tests using the Fisher exact test, a p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05) was obtained, indicating a relationship between caring behavior and patient satisfaction. Additionally, the Fisher exact test yielded a p-value of 0.004 (p<0.05), suggesting a relationship between the implementation of patient safety and patient satisfaction.Conclusion: There is a relationship between caring behavior and the implementation of patient safety with patient satisfaction in inpatient wards.

Abstract

Background: Nurses' work motivation is still a problem in nursing services in hospitals, which is the main key to the success of health service development. Nurses who feel dual role conflict is a severe problem that can affect work motivation, especially in women.Purpose: This study aims to find out the relationship between dual role conflict of female nurses with work motivation at Syekh Yusuf Gowa Hospital.Methods: This research design is quantitative with a cross sectional study approach. A total of 134 respondents were obtained by cluster random sampling. Data collection used questionnaires of dual role conflict and work motivation.Results: The results showed that the most female nurses' dual role conflict was in the low category of 74 respondents (55.2%) and the least was in the high category of 60 respondents (44.8%). Meanwhile, the most work motivation in the high category is 118 respondents (88.1%), and the least in the low category is 16 people (11.9%). Based on the cross-tabulation results of the Continuity Correction test, the p-value is 0.001.Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the dual role conflict of female nurses and work motivation at Syekh Yusuf Gowa Hospital Therefore, it is important for nurses, especially female nurses at Syekh Yusuf Gowa Hospital, to manage psychological well-being so that the dual

Abstract

Background: The nursing management process starts with planning, organizing, commanding/coordinating, and controlling. One part of the controlling function is the nursing documentation audit. Nursing documentation audit is a professional evaluation process on the quality of nursing services which have been carried out by the nursing and midwifery profession against patients, namely through patient medical records. Objective: Nurses can implement nursing documentation audits at Ar-Raudah 1 room of Makassar Hajj Hospital. Methods: This study used a case study method. This study implemented education through leaflet media to enhance nurses' knowledge in implementing nursing documentation audits. A total of 14 nurses participated in this study. Data collection was obtained from interviews, observations and questionnaires. Results: The findings showed that the pre-test nurses' knowledge on P3 as many as 10 nurses (71.4%) answered correctly and as many as 4 nurses (28.6%) answered incorrectly. As for P7, 14 nurses (100%) answered incorrect. An increase in knowledge occurred during the post test, namely P3 (100%) and P7 (100%). After nursing implementation, namely education through leaflet media, it showed that nurses' knowledge increased in the application of nursing documentation audits. Conclusion: Nurses at Ar-Raudah 1 room of Makassar Hajj Hospital show an increase knowledge about nursing documentation audits.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi di berbagai bidang, termasuk pelayanan kesehatan, pendidikan, dan penelitian, merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dihindari dalam era transformasi digital. Mahasiswa keperawatan perlu memiliki kemampuan adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi, terutama dalam bidang informatika keperawatan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara persepsi dan kompetensi informatika keperawatan pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif cross-sectional dengan 152 responden dari 215 mahasiswa keperawatan. Sampel diambil secara stratified random berdasarkan tahun akademik. Instrumen diadaptasi dari penelitian terdahulu dan telah teruji validitas serta reliabilitasnya. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-Square, Kruskal-Wallis dengan post-hoc Dwass-Steel-Critchlow-Fligner, dan One-Way ANOVA. Hasil: Sebanyak 52.6% mahasiswa memiliki kompetensi baik dan 47.4% memiliki kompetensi cukup. Selain itu, 61.8% mahasiswa menunjukkan persepsi positif terhadap informatika keperawatan, sedangkan 38.2% memiliki persepsi negatif. Uji Chi-Square menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi dan kompetensi informatika keperawatan (p = 0.012). Hasil uji Kruskal-Wallis memperlihatkan bahwa mahasiswa tahun kedua dan ketiga tidak memiliki perbedaan persepsi (p = 0.332), sedangkan mahasiswa tahun kedua dan keempat menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (p < 0.0001). Uji One-Way ANOVA menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan kompetensi antar jenjang tahun akademik (p = 0.020). Terdapat hubungan antara persepsi dan kompetensi informatika keperawatan pada mahasiswa. Perbedaan persepsi dan kompetensi antar jenjang tahun akademik menegaskan perlunya penguatan kurikulum serta penerapan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di institusi pendidikan keperawatan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan digital mahasiswa

Abstract

Spirituality is one of the essential domains in nursing care, encompassing bio-psycho-social-spiritual aspects. The implementation of spiritual nursing care can support the patient healing process but is often overlooked. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of spiritual nursing care in hospital. This research is a descriptive quantitative study involving 85 nurses selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument to measure spiritual nursing care at the hospital, namely the Nurse Spiritual Care Therapeutic tool. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to provide an overview of the implementation of spiritual nursing care at Ibnu Sina Hospital Makassar. The results showed that 49,4% of respondents reported that spiritual nursing care had been implemented well. The support and counseling domain had the highest mean score of 3,56, followed by the assessment and implementation domain at 3,51. The spiritual referral domain had a mean score of 3.31, while the communication domain was the lowest, with a mean score of 3,28. Although spiritual nursing care at Ibnu Sina Hospital Makassar has been implemented, it is not yet optimal. The support and counseling domain performed well, but communication requires further improvement to enhance the overall success of spiritual nursing care. Training and improving nurses' communication competencies are crucial for providing more effective and comprehensive care to patients.

Abstract

The implementation of spiritual nursing care in hospitals has not yet been optimal. Nurses, as professional healthcare providers, must be able to understand spirituality and how spiritual beliefs affect everyone’s life. Spiritual needs are the need for meaning, purpose, and hope in life, relationships with God, religious obligations, spiritual practices, relationships with others, and relationships with nurses. This study aimed to determine the effect of interfaith spiritual care training on nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in providing spiritual nursing care. The research design is quantitative, using a pre-experimental pre-posttest group design. Purposive sampling was used to select samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Wilcoxon test results showed a value of 0.001 (p-value < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in knowledge, attitudes, and skills before and after the spiritual nursing care training. This study concludes that interfaith spiritual care training positively influences nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and skills. It contributes to the field by introducing and validating a novel, interfaith-focused training program that significantly enhances nurses’ professional competencies in providing spiritual care.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Discharge planning merupakan bagian integral dari pelayanan kesehatan yang bertujuan untuk memastikan kesinambungan perawatan pasien setelah keluar dari rumah sakit. Namun, pelaksanaannya sering kali belum optimal, ditandai dengan tidak terisinya lembar discharge planning dan minimnya edukasi kepada pasien serta keluarga. Kondisi ini berdampak pada kualitas layanan dan risiko perawatan berulang. Metode: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan Community-Based Learning (CBL). Intervensi dilakukan melalui sosialisasi kepada perawat pelaksana dengan menggunakan media edukatif berupa leaflet digital yang dimodifikasi dalam bentuk QR code. QR code berisi informasi edukatif terkait perawatan pasien setelah pemulangan, dan dibagikan kepada perawat sebagai alat bantu dalam proses edukasi. Hasil: Pelaksanaan kegiatan mendapatkan respon positif dari peserta. Perawat menyatakan bahwa penggunaan QR code memudahkan penyampaian informasi kepada pasien dan keluarga, terutama dalam situasi keterbatasan waktu atau beban kerja tinggi. Inovasi ini juga mendorong pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap pentingnya discharge planning dalam menjamin kesinambungan perawatan pasien. Kesimpulan: Sosialisasi discharge planning berbasis media QR code terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan perawat dalam proses perencanaan pulang pasien. Penggunaan media digital tersebut mendukung efisiensi, aksesibilitas informasi, serta memperkuat kualitas pelayanan keperawatan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pengkajian aspek spiritual dalam praktik keperawatan masih belum diimplementasikan secara menyeluruh di rumah sakit. Perawat umumnya hanya mencatat agama dan kebiasaan ibadah tanpa menggali kebutuhan spiritual pasien secara mendalam. Hal ini disebabkan oleh keterbatasan instrumen yang sesuai konteks budaya lokal serta minimnya pelatihan profesional. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen pengkajian spiritual yang aplikatif dan kontekstual bagi pasien dewasa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui metode workshop yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan ceramah, diskusi kelompok terarah (Focus Group Discussion/FGD), serta pengisian kuesioner evaluasi sebagai bagian dari proses validasi instrumen. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 75% peserta menyatakan instrumen layak digunakan dengan revisi dan 25% menyatakan sangat layak. Saran perbaikan meliputi penyederhanaan bahasa, efisiensi pertanyaan, dan penyesuaian format. Instrumen yang dikembangkan adalah BRAVE yang merupakan modifikasi dari instrumen FICA dan HOPE. Kesimpulannya adalah instrumen ini dinilai layak digunakan dengan penyempurnaan dan berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan yang holistik melalui penguatan aspek spiritual.

Abstract

Background: Play therapy in cancer children is a major intervention that can meet the needs of playing in children who are hospitalized.Purpose: This study aimed to determine an effective play therapy model given to children with cancer undergoing hospitalization.Methods: The research design used is quantitative descriptive with a Systematic Review approach. Data collection techniques using article search sources in this study are Pubmed, Science Direct, Google Schoolar, Portal Garuda, JOIN, IJSR, and Emerald. Articles published from 2015-2019 and focus on play therapy interventions in children suffering from cancer.Results: The results of the analysis of nine articles in accordance with the inclusion criteria about play therapy in children with cancer proved effective in reducing hospitalization of children. The play therapy used in the selected article is drawing, painting, puzzle, storytelling, cognitive behavior and therapeutic play with 20-60 minutes of execution time.Conclusion: The play therapy is recommended for use because the technique is simple, does not require a lot of tools and materials, is easy, affordable and can be done by children with preschool and school-age cancer who are hospitalized.

Abstract

Background: Children with special needs are children who are significantly different from other children, they are physically, psychologically, cognitively and socially obstructed in achieving their goals and potential to the fullest such as autism.Purpose: This study aimed to determine the provision of effective occupational therapy in children with special needs.Methods: This research uses a quantitative descriptive design. Search for research articles in several databases using certain keywords in the period 2015-2019.Results: Search results obtained 1396 articles using occupational therapy, there were only 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria analyzed using the Duffy's Research Appraisal Checklist Approach and the 10 articles included in the superior paper category so that it was good for further analysis. Based on the results of Systematic Review shows that effective occupational therapy is given to children with special needs (Autism). Occupational therapy given is very varied, namely drawing, collage technique, buttoning clothes, remembering pictures, sensory oral motor stimulation. Motor skills acquisition training, Equine-Assisted Therapy / EAT, Sensory Integration Therapy / SIT.Conclusion: From the analysis of the article shows that all occupational therapy can help improve both physical and mental development in children with autism so that children with autism can carry out daily activities like children in general and improve their quality of life. Occupational therapy found in this review can be used as an intervention in overcoming Developmental problems in children with autism due to simple techniques using daily activities
