Abstract

From the results of the research that has been carried out a 220 watt DC to AC inverter circuit using AKI / battery has succeeded well according to the procedure. The working system of a DC inverter device is very useful for efficient use of electricity, especially in the application of medical devices at the Dompet Dhuafa (DD) Free Health Service (Palembang) in Palembang with a power of 220 watts. The working system of a 220 watt DC inverter circuit can convert DC voltage (direct voltage) to AC voltage (alternating voltage).

Abstract

The teacher is a professional educator with the task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in early and secondary education in certain formal institutions. One of the problems faced by Al-Hamidiyah Middle School teachers is the low competency of teachers, especially in the use of computer technology devices. This is unfortunate, even though the demands on teachers' assignments are in line with the enactment of the 2013 curriculum, where teachers are required to work using applications, learning media using information technology, application-based assessment systems, computer-based national exams, and others. This obstacle occurs because there is still a lack of teacher motivation to add competence outside the main task for a variety of reasons conveyed. The approach used in this dedication activity with a persuasive-educative approach, by providing knowledge, understanding, and skills in using Microsoft Office. The method used in the form of lectures, practice, and discussion. The results of this dedication the teacher understands and is able to practice directly.

Abstract

Distance learning causes teachers to think creatively so that the teaching and learning process continues as it should. In addition, various platforms and media for online learning are still not widely known by teachers. The Whatsapp application is an application that is already widely used. In this application, it is possible to form groups that can gather many people to be able to chat with each other and exchange information that allows the delivery of messages in groups besides delivering messages individually. The purpose of this service is so that teachers can make maximum use of the Whatsapp media as a distance learning facility. The method in this service of AbdiMas team took the initiative to conduct a one day coaching clinic using the Whatsapp application as a means of evaluating student learning to SIT Mush'ab bin Umair teachers. The conclusion of this dedication activity is that this community service activity is felt to be very beneficial for the SIT Mush'ab bin Umair teachers. In part, the limitations of online learning facilities and infrastructure can be overcome by using Whatsapp. The use of Whatsapp as an online exam means is considered relatively cheap with a wide reach, easy to use, especially for most of the students of SIT Mush'ab bin Umair who are still in grades 1 and 2.

Abstract

One of the great disasters on earth is forest fires. Attempts to detect disaster events have been made with the help of monitoring technology. However, the problem is that the sensor is less responsive to detecting the presence of fire. Furthermore, sending information about fire incidents throughout the forest cannot use the existing communication platform. Therefore, we designed a forest fire monitoring system using LoRa. This technology is based on wireless which can transmit data across the forest. To detect the presence of fire, Arduino Uno is used as a microcontroller that regulates input from the AMG8833 sensor and GPS Ubox 6M. The experiment shows that the AMG8833 sensor is more sensitive in detecting the presence of fire as the catch range changes between 3 to 10 meters. In that distance range, hotspots were detected 19.25 oC to 122.5 oC when testing the sensor node is done. The monitoring system developed in this study demonstrated that sensor nodes and gateways could communicate up to 500 meters apart with a signal quality of -134 dBm. The best LoRa configuration mode for this communication capability is a Bandwidth of 250, a Code Rate of 4/5, and a Spread Factor of 10.One of the great disasters on earth is forest fires. Abstract

Tingginya minat masyarakat terhadap penggunaan laptop disebabkan pada kelompok pekerja kantoran maupun pelajar. Untuk menunjang aktivitas belajar mengajar, penggunaan laptop sudah menjadi suatu kebutuhan bagi pekerja kantoran maupun mahasiswa. Penelitian dibuat untuk menjadi solusi penyediaan sumber energi laptop yang bersifat mobile dan ekonomis yaitu sebuah teknologi charger laptop portable menggunakan sumber energi listrik yang disimpan ke dalam baterai yang bisa diisi ulang tanpa harus menghubungkan peranti tersebut pada outlet listrik. Sistem yang dibuat menggunakan baterai lithium dan modul boost converter yang dikendalikan oleh sinyal kontrol berupa sinyal PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dimulai dari perancangan alat yaitu merangkai 15 buah baterai lithium disusun secara seri dan parallel, Modul BMS sebagai pengaman baterai dan menghasilkan tegangan keluaran baterai 12 volt, setelah dari modul BMS cek tegangan baterai apakah sudah 12 volt. Setalah itu masuk ke bost converte cek apakah tegangan sudah naik ke 19 volt Setelah tegangan dinaikkan 19 volt powerbank siap untuk dihubungkan ke beban yaitu laptop atau notebook. Hasil penelitian di dapat kan penghasil listrik laptop portable dapat mengecas laptop Acer berkapasitas baterai 5000 mAh selama 3 jam 7 menit sedangkan pada laptop Sony berkapasitas 2760 mAh lama waktu pengecasan nya adalah 1 jam 43 menit. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan lamanya waktu pengisian baterai dengan tegangan 19V DC dipengaruhi oleh besarnya kapasitas baterai yang dimiliki oleh laptop, semakin besar kapasitas baterai laptop maka semakin lama waktu pengisiannya.

Abstract

Research on the availability of water potential for the development of power plants with various scales and types of power plants has been done. Since most existing water sources have small discharges and low heads, this study aimed at designing a micro-hydropower center as one of the ways the electrical energy crisis could be avoided, with one of the renewable energy potentials, namely the potential energy of water in Micro Hydro Power Plant. Further studies were related to water resources to Micro Hydro Power Plants (MHPP) construction, especially Archimedes screw turbines guide parameters that corresponded to flow velocity, channel cross-section, and flow volume. It aimed to connect the local energy potential to the output power of the Archimedes screw turbine. The methods used for this study were 1. Observation 2. Data collection, and 3. Data Analysis. The study was carried out using an observation method that adopted field data collection techniques assisted by measuring equipment to collect data coverage that refers to related parameters. The power available on the channel resulted was 946 kW, and the power generated in the turbine was 5.9 kW.

Abstract

Semakin tingginya kebutuhan energi di perkantoran menyebabkan penggunaan energi yang bersumber dari PLN semakin besar juga, sehingga menyebabkan biaya pengeluaran listrik per bulan juga naik, selain itu jika kantor sedang dalam kondisi pemadaman listrik dari PLN maka keberlangsungan suplai daya listrik tetap terjaga agar pelayanan administrasi publik tetap bisa berjalan seperti biasanya. Berdasarkan situasi kantor Kelurahan Plaju Darat diatas maka tim pengabdian dari Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang melakukan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan tema pengabdian menyediakan suplai daya listrik berbasiskan energi baru terbarukan di kantor Kelurahan Plaju Darat Palembang. Metode yang dijalankan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi langkah-langkah sebagai berikut : 1) analisis situasi kelurahan, 2) merancang kebutuhan panel surya kantor kelurahan, 3) menginstalasi sistem panel surya, 4) pengujian sistem panel surya dengan beban alat elektronik, 5) evaluasi hasil pengabdian. Hasil yang di capai berupa tersedianya sistem  panel surya beserta peralatan pendukungnya guna menjamin keberlangsungan suplai daya listrik agar pelayanan administrasi publik tetap bisa berjalan saat kondisi listrik padam.

Abstract

Mata pencaharian sebagian besar masyarakat Indonesia sebagai petani, berdasarkan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tahun 2020 ada sekitar 31,4 juta petani yang bergerak disemua sektor pertanian akan tetapi Mayoritas petani saat ini masih menggunakan alat perontok padi pedal trhesher. Penelitian dibuat untuk menjadi solusi praktis yang inovatif untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam proses perontokan padi pada pertanian di Indonesia dengan menggunakan Power Trhesher Sollar Cell berbasis Internet of Things. Sistem yang dibuat menggunakan 2 buah panel surya sebesar 200 Wp, modul MPPT, baterai 12 Volt sebagai penyimpan energi dari panel surya, dan motor dc yang berfungsi sebagai penggerak utama dari alat ini yang langsung terhubung ke modul sonoff sebagai piranti IoT. Hasil penelitian didapatkan pada menit ke 15 dengan tegangan baterai sebesar 12, 71 Volt menghasilkan putaran motor sebesar 400 rpm dan arus yang mengalir sebesar 11,41 A, sedangkan pada menit ke 45 tegangan baterai menjadi 12,63 V dan kecepatan putaran motor menjadi 380 rpm dan arus yang mengalir sebesar 10,44 A. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan faktor yang mempengaruhi besar kecil nya nilai tegangan dan arus yang mengalir ke beban yaitu tegangan pada baterai. Semakin besar nilai tegangan baterai semakin cepat pula kecepatan motor sehingga arus pada motor mengalami peningkatan dan sebaliknya.

Abstract

Shrimp is one of the prima donnas of Indonesia's mainstay exports from the fishery sector which needs to be improved both in terms of quality and quantity. The use of aerators as an effort to improve the quality and quantity of harvest used by pond farmers today generally still uses a manual system, where the operation of the aerator is still based on experience, not from the quality of dissolved oxygen in the pond needed by fish or shrimp in the pond. In this study, the application of an aerator to improve the quality of dissolved oxygen both in quality and quantity, is equipped with an IoT (Internet of things)  method that can instruct the aerator to operate as desired using a smartphone.  The components used in this tool consist of solar cell panels  as renewable  power plants, Aerator Pumps, and ESP8266 WiFi. In this data collection activity, in fluctuating weather conditions. Especially during rainy conditions, data retrieval is paused because test conditions do not allow it to produce a current data reading of 0 amperes. From the logger data recording,  it can be seen that the highest current value that can be absorbed through solar panels is 2.40 Amperes obtained on day 3 of testing

Abstract

The usefulness of monitoring systems in the electric power system supports the importance of people's work today. One of which is the monitoring system at the generator. The monitoring system for Wind Power Plant (WPP), Solar Power Plant (SPP), and electricity from State Electricity Company (PLN) use IoT (Internet of Things) in the form of Sonoff Pow R2. With the monitoring system on this tool, the parameter values for WPP, SPP, and PLN can be seen and monitored online via a smartphone. The purpose of this research is to design a monitoring system for WPP, SPP, and PLN based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to determine the value of the output power. In addition, this system can distinguish load parameter values when WPP, SPP, and PLN are supplied directly (real time) and monitored online using the Sonoff Pow R2 app and the Ewelink App. This study uses the methodology that started the process of designing and manufacturing systems and designing the wiring that has been formed from the process of making tools and testing results. The results obtained from the experiment show that the current values in WPP, SPP, and PLN that appear on the monitoring screen are stable.  The stable condition values are measured and tested when power is used when loading through sonoff.  For the power value, the power value in PLN is stable, whereas in WPP and SPP has increased. For the voltage, the voltage value from PLN does not reach 220 V, whereas the voltage value from WPP and SPP reaches a value of 220 V.
