Abstract

Fishermen cooperative is expected to be an economic entity that plays a significant role in enhancing welfare of fishermen. Through the cooperatives, fishermen are having opportunities to scale-up their resources and strengthen their position in the fishery supply chain system. Using a fishermen cooperative (the co-op) as a case, this study aims to build business process map in order to facilitate the assessment of co-op’s performance. The map is developed based on the data collected mainly by observation and interview with the board of the cooperative. The study reveals that the cooperative has no both clear pattern of business process and measured performance. The study proposes the business process map with clear pattern so that the performance of the co-op can be measured objectively. The co-op needs to be accompanied and supervised by strongly related stakeholders (in particular the Government) in an attempt apply the map. The map will be more favourable if there is a further research on developing supply chain model of the cooperatives.

Abstract

ERP system and SCM are considered to be the business performance enhancer regardless the business type. This paper summarizes studies on ERP systems and SCM in cooperative business. The cooperative is a unique model of business, where the owners are also customers, suppliers, as well as operators. There is a little study concerns on ERP, SCM, even operations perspective of cooperative business. If any, the study focuses on technical aspects of technology, a little part of ERP, like the use of application of accouting, the use of marketplace, etc. This paper also proposes a framework of ERP and SCM model for cooperative. The discussion refers to the performance standards of the cooperative set by the Government and combined with ERP systems and business process in general. This model is expected to be a considerable framework to enhance cooperative performance as well as a tool of control of cooperative business. Due to the vary of cooperative type of business, it is suggested that further study observes the actual business process in a cooperative so that ERP system and SCM model can be developed properly.

Abstract

BFM is a pharmaceutical company that produces bulk Tetanus Toxoid (TT). Bulk TT demand will continue to increase until 2025, while the current utilization rate has reached 97% of its design capacity. Bulk TT's current production capacity is insufficient, while the building area cannot be enlarged. This research was conducted to improve non-necessary value added by identifying and reducing waste to run well even though the production capacity is limited. Mix descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods are applied in this research. Production simulation is undertaken to reduce waste through the Gemba Kaizen approach and Kanban, while production capacity simulation is carried out using Dynamic Systems. The results of the simulations are described in the Balanced Scorecard. The research revealed there are 148 wastes consisting of 4 causes of waste in the high priority category, 20 medium priority and 124 low priority. The simulation generates a significant decrease value of the waste priority number (WPN) from 347.3 to 47.2. There was also an increase in the overall value stream. Value-added ratio (VAR) increased 12.57%, production lead time reduced 21.01%, and total cycle time decreased 11.65%. These findings indicated that the improvement was effective in eliminating waste. From the overall improvement, there was an increase in productivity of 25.0%.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the cycle time of the assembly line of one of the weapons products at PT. Pindad (Persero) and to explore the effective methods to improve its performance. The method used is a quantitative analysis of assembly data involving 155 components and 56 tasks distributed over 43 work stations, accompanied by document analysis, especially on scientific literature, to elaborate various appropriate methods to become solutions to the problems encountered. The results show that almost all workstations had a cycle time greater than the takt time. It is also known that there is an imbalance of existing workstations, with the lightest workload lasting 67 seconds while the largest workload lasting 253 seconds. The results of the elaboration of the literature show that several potential methods can provide solutions to the problems encountered by considering the characteristics of the assembly line with a straight-line configuration. This study contributes to the literature by analyzing cycle times and assembly line balances in the defense industry relatively rarely studied in Indonesia.

Abstract

Reliability of electricity supply is urgently needed by modern industry because disruptions can directly impact production levels, costs and company profitability. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of the existing maintenance of electric power distribution to industrial customers of PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Karawang and to propose appropriate maintenance methods to improve its performance. The method used is a case study with data collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of relevant documents. The results of the study indicate that the trend of feeder disturbances during 2017-2020 has not met expectations, the realization of the average interruption frequency index (SAIFI) system continues to increase in succession 3.12; 3.85; 5.47; and 6.92 times/customer, as well as the realization of the system average interruption duration index (SAIDI) with an increasing trend, respectively, 182.97; 314.31; 1015.55; and 612 minutes/customer. The three highest causes of disturbances were jointing (39%), followed by third party causes (36%) and cubicle damage (15%). The author proposes the TRDX method to improve the reliability of electric power supply to industrial customers.

Abstract

Sampah rumah tangga di Kota Bandung menjadi masalah karena peningkatan sampah yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat dari tahun ke tahun dan terbatasnya lahan atau Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) di Kota Bandung. Kapasitas lahan di TPA Sarimukti setiap tahunnya menurun bahkan timbulan sampah mencapai 9 meter. Hal ini terjadi dikarenakan tidak adanya teknologi pengelolaan sampah yang efektif dan efisien. Untuk mengatasi timbulan sampah tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengolahan sampah rumah tangga saat ini, mengidentifikasi lean operation dari pengolahan manajemen sampah zero, melakukan simulasi teknologi manajemen sampah zero menggunakan sistem dinamis, membandingkan total biaya yang dibutuhkan dengan total manfaat yang diterima bila menggunakan teknologi manajemen sampah zero, serta merancang model lean canvas bisnis pengolahan manajemen sampah zero. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cost benefit analysis dengan pendekatan sistem dinamis dalam melakukan simulasi model serta merancang model lean canvas bisnis manajemen sampah zero. Hasil penelitian terdiri dari tiga skenario yaitu skenario pesimis, most likely dan optimis, masing – masing skenario menunjukkan bahwa Kota Bandung dapat mencapai kondisi zero waste pada tahun kelima uuntuk skenario most likely dan tahun keempat uuntuk skenario optimis kecuali skenario pesimis, analisis cost benefit analysis menunjukkan nilai Benefit Cost Ratio bagi skenario pesimis 0,660, skenario Most likely 0,767, skenario optimis 1,172 Metode ini memungkinkan terjadinya lean operations pada pengelolaan sampah yang ditunjukkan oleh diagram alur dengan mengeliminasi kegiatan yang tidak memiliki nilai tambah. Selanjutnya untuk mendukung operasional dari penelitian ini disusun sebuah rekomendasi berupa lean operations menggunakan 5S pada perilaku pemilahan sampah rumah tangga dan penyusunan model lean canvas business agar pelaksanaan manajemen sampah zero menjadi optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di lingkungan Direktorat Human Capital Management PT Telkom Indonesia TLT Jakarta Selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh work from home terhadap work life balance karyawan Direktorat Human Capital Management PT Telkom Indonesia TLT Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pekerja karena pengambilan sampel untuk penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode non-probability sampling dengan tipe sampel jenuh, yaitu seluruh karyawan Direktorat Human Capital Management PT Telkom Indonesia TLT Jakarta Selatan yang berjumlah 72 karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa work from home di Direktorat Human Capital Management PT Telkom Indonesia TLT Jakarta Selatan sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Selain itu, work life balance karyawan masuk ke dalam kategori baik, yang artinya menunjukan adanya keseimbangan. Pada penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa work from home berpengaruh signifikan terhadap work life balance dengan nilai koefisien determinasi yaitu sebesar 76,7% atau 0,767. Sedangkan sisanya yaitu 23,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini Kata kunci: Work from Home, Work-Life Balance

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of empowerment, planning quality (KP) and apparatus performance (KA) simultaneously on regional development in the Banjarbaru City Government. This research approach uses a quantitative causal method. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The population of this research is 103 people with random sampling technique and the research sample is 83 people. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis, F test and T test. The results obtained in the study indicate that the Empowerment of Apparatus (X1) on Regional Development (Y) sig 0.000 value. The sig value is smaller than the probability value of 0.05, or the value of 0.000 <0.05, then H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. The variable X1 has a tcount of 4.296 with t table = 2.021. So tcount> ttable can be concluded that the variable X1 has a contribution to Y. Quality Planning (X2) on Regional Development (Y) sig 0.039. The sig value is smaller than the probability value 0.05, or the value 0.016 <0.05, then H2 is accepted and Ho is rejected. The variable X2 has a tcount of 2.590 with t table = 2.021. Apparatus Performance (X3) on Regional Development (Y) value of 0.002> 0.05, then H3 is accepted and Ho is rejected. The variable X3 has a tcount of 3,150 with ttable = 2,021. The results of the F test F count is 16,854 with a probability value (sig) = 0,000. Value of Fcount (16,854)> Ftable (3,10), and the value of sig. smaller than the probability value of 0.05 or the value of 0.000 <0.05; then H01 is accepted. Apparatus Empowerment (X1), Planning Quality (X2) and Apparatus Performance (X3), affect regional development (Y) with R Square of 0.393 = 39.3% on Regional Development, while 64.6%. The results of the dominant test of Apparatus Empowerment (X1) are more influential on regional development (Y) in the City Government of Banjarbaru with a value of 0.303 at the sig level of 0.000. So it can be explained that if the empowerment of the apparatus is good in the regions, the development of the Banjarbaru city will be even better.
