Abstract

The article aimed to analyze the students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills in making paper airplane toys. It is phenomenology research that was conducted on elementary school students with a total of 15 students. The data collection techniques used documentation and interviews. Because of the form of the data obtained descriptive, the analysis was carried out qualitatively, namely by coding with the flow of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the students apply critical thinking and problem-solving concepts in making paper airplane toys. Several other factors were students planning and designing carefully, measuring in detail with mathematical concepts and estimating what allows paper airplanes to fly for a long time or even for a short time. This research contributed to creating learning that develops critical thinking skills and problem-solving through simple things close to children's lives (contextual). Abstract

Pengaplikasian teknologi dan informasi di bidang pemerintahan dilakukan dari pusat hingga tingkat desa untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat. Pada tahun 2021 oleh program studi Sistem Informasi Kelautan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia membuat aplikasi website Desa Lontar untuk memberikan informasi terkait berita masyarakat desa. Pengembangan yang dilakukan yaitu untuk meningkatkan fitur pelayanan adaministasi umum yang bisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi website. Tujuan dari pengembangan website di fitur pelayanan administrasi umum yaitu agar masyarakat diberikan kemudahan dalam pembuatan surat atau izin dari pemerintah desa yang bisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi webiste. Hasil dari pengabdian di Desa Lontar pengembangan aplikasi website Desa Lontar sebagai pengaplikasian e-government berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyakarat dan pemerintah desa. Masyarakat desa bisa mudah mengajukan surat tanpa perlu datang ke kantor desa dan pegawai administrasi umum desa bisa melayani tanpa perlu bertatap langsung dengan masyarakat sehingga lebih cepat dan efisien.

Abstract

Abstrak Tingkat pengangguran di Indonesia yang cukup tinggi sangat mempengaruhi tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat kita. Anak-anak di jalanan yang harusnya masih bisa meraih jenjang pendidikan yang tinggi justru harus harus kandas karena ekonomi keluarga yang tidak mendukung. Adapun permasalahan umur yang menjadi batasan untuk mecari kerja sehingga harus menunggu umur yang tepat agar bisa melamar pekerjaan. Dengan adanya ilmu tentang kewirausahaan disini yaitu untuk memberikan ilmu pengetahuan bagi mereka baik pengangguran lulusan sekolah maupun mahasiswa yang masih mengalami kendala dalam bekerja. Dengan memanfaatkan kreativitas yang ada sehingga hal itu setidaknya bisa membuat pengangguran, lulusan sekolah dan mahasiswa bisa mendapatkan penghasilan. Dengan menggunakan metode pelaksanaan berupa penyampaian materi mengenai business model canvas, analisis sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki, analisis ide produk dengan google trends lalu diungkapkan melalui value propotion sehingga mendapatkan hasil serta arah yang jelas mengenai usaha yang dijalankan. Setelah itu dilakukanlah kegiatan praktikum untuk membuat produk dengan satu contoh yaitu cold pressed juice yang dimana mahasiswa/i bisa memanfaatkan buah-buahan serta sayuran yang ada sehingga menghasilkan produk minuman sari buah murni tanpa campuran air atau pemanis buatan lainnya. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini, mahasiswa memperoleh pemahaman mendalam baik itu mengenai bisnis, pemasaran, sustainable melalui konsep bisnis cold pressed juice. Dalam kegiatan ini diharapkan bisa membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan seta pengetahuan yang baik untuk terjun ke dunia bisnis, menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan serta memberikan kontribusi positif untuk kemajuan ekonomi Indonesia. Kata kunci: pengabdian kepada masyarakat; value propotion canvas; google trends; bussiness idea. Abstract The relatively high unemployment rate in Indonesia greatly affects the level of welfare of our society. Children on the streets who should still be able to achieve a high level of education have to fail because the family economy is not supportive. The problem with age is that it limits them when looking for work, so they have to wait for the right age to be able to apply for a job. The existence of knowledge about entrepreneurship is here to provide knowledge for those who still experience problems in working. Utilizing existing creativity can at least enable them to earn income. By using an implementation method in the form of delivering material regarding the business model canvas, analyzing the human resources they have, analyzing product ideas using Google Trends, and then expressing them through value proportions so that they get clear results and direction regarding their business. After that, practical activities were carried out to make products with one example, namely cold pressed juice, where they could use existing fruits and vegetables to produce pure fruit juice drink products without a mixture of water or other artificial sweeteners. Through this community service activity, students gain a deep understanding of business, marketing, and sustainability through the cold-pressed juice business concept. It is hoped that this activity can equip students with good skills and knowledge to enter the business world, create jobs, and make a positive contribution to Indonesia's economic progress. Keywords: community service; value proportion canvas; google trends; business idea.

Abstract

Reading is a process carried out and utilized by readers to obtain messages that the writer wants to convey through written language. Reading is one of the four aspects of language skills which is the main door to entry into knowledge. In this study, the process of beginning reading for second grade elementary school students will be explained. The approach taken in this research was qualitative using the Shared Reading method. The qualitative approach was specifically chosen by the researcher to consider the data sources that will be processed and the research methods that will be used through analysis of a document in the form of a learning video. In this research, content analysis was chosen as the method used, where the researcher carried out several stages in processing the data, including selecting the data, then separating and organising the data to be used, then explaining it by describing the data, until making a conclusion at the end. The results of research in video analysis show that there are three stages of learning in reading together, namely exploration, discovery and independence. The following are detailed data findings based on analysis of three learning videos using the Shared Reading method: The first video contains 9 learning steps with 1 exploration activity, 3 discovery activities and 5 independent activities, the second video contains 8 learning steps with 1 exploration activity, 4 discovery activities , and 3 independent activities, then the third video contains 4 learning steps with 2 exploration activities, 1 discovery activity, and an independent activity. Thus, researchers can conclude that beginning reading in class II elementary school students can use the method of reading together through Big Book media.

Abstract

Education is a need where humans as social creatures have the right to obtain education that makes humans more dignified and virtuous. In the process of pursuing education, especially formal education at school, language becomes a medium for transferring knowledge to students both through writing and orally. In conveying thoughts, language skills which include aspects of speaking, listening, writing and reading are mandatory aspects that need to be mastered. In class II of SD Negeri 01 Gendowang, it was found that students' listening learning outcomes were still low. According to the average score resulting from the pre-cycle activities carried out by the researcher, the average score for listening learning was 48.3. This research is aimed at looking at the process of using audio-visuals to improve students' listening skills. Researchers used a qualitative research approach with classroom action research (PTK) methods. The research subjects were class II students at SDN 01 Gendowang, Pemalang Regency. The technique for collecting data was carried out by researchers employing observations carried out in 2 cycles. The results of the two cycles carried out were that students' listening ability increased with the average score for listening learning in cycle I being 72.5 and the average score in listening learning in cycle II being 76.6. This research shows that audio-visual media can improve students' listening skills.

Abstract

The students' low reading interest is a matter of concern. Where reading is the most important thing in learning activities. Therefore, it is necessary to have an appropriate and creative strategy or method so that the expected learning objectives are achieved. CIRC is a learning model that collaborates cooperative reading and writing activities. Combined with the Mind Mapping method which involves student creativity. Based on research in class V SDN Pondokkaso Tonggoh, CIRC and Mind Mapping provide a good stimulus for students' reading interest, especially in Indonesian language learning. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the CIRC model and the Mind Mapping method affected reading interest. This research was conducted during the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, so there are several adjustments in this study. The research conducted was a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was all students in class V and the sample taken was the VA class which was divided into the experimental class and the control class. The data collection techniques used were pre and post-test, Likert scale questionnaire, and observation. Based on the data collected, it was found that the average experimental class students experienced a significant increase in reading interest, from the initial average of 87.43 to 92.07 while in the control class the initial average of 85.79 became 88.07. At the time of learning, students in the experimental class were calmer than the control class, this made the experimental class get better results.

Abstract

Writing is one of the Indonesian language skills that must be mastered by elementary school students. Writing is a place to be able to communicate between one person and another, writing skills cause students to think deeply, logically, systematically, and scientifically, thus affecting their learning outcomes. Students working and writing someone can express feelings and ideas. Students are expected to master four skills when learning Indonesian, namely:  reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Complete the skills of essay writing does not come naturally or naturally, but still requires a repetitive, intensive process of practice and requires a time-consuming learning stage and a long process. Learning media has a very important role in the process of teaching and learning activities, in addition to efforts to achieve learning, learning media is also very useful in attracting attention and encouraging the student spirit to learn. The study aims to find out how the ether displays changes in narrative writing after using serial visual media. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with class action research. This study uses data collection methods in the form of periodic tests.   The results of this study are factors that can increase the skill of making a student's story based on good and appropriate indicators of writing skills. In 3 cycles, students' writing skills increased by a percentage of 32%, increased by 57%, then increased by 84%. Through the use of these sequences of images, it is seen that students' narrative writing skills improve. Not only that, students are also trained to write narratives because this process is done over and over again to improve student narrative results.

Abstract

Ideally grade 4 elementary school students should have understood the contents of the reading well, but in reality, there are still difficulties in understanding the main points of a text. This is marked when students have enabled to determine the main idea of a particular paragraph because of a lack of attention in learning. If this problem is not followed up, the learning objectives can be difficult to achieve. By conducting this research, the researcher wants to know whether reading by applying the SQ3R method can work effectively so that the level of student understanding will increase. Researchers used a qualitative approach in their research, then Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Kemmis and McTaggart models as research methods. The place that has been determined by the researcher is SDN Karodangan which is located in Taktakan, Serang. The main points discussed by the researcher were students who were in grade 4 which consisted of 9 students. The action that has been carried out has proven an increase in students' reading comprehension skills. Before the action, the average value of students' reading comprehension skills was 43.3 and 22.2% as a percentage. When the first action, the average value of students' reading comprehension skills obtained was 60 and 44.4% as a percentage. Then the second action, the average value of students' reading comprehension skills increased to 85.5 and 88.8% as a percentage. Based on the description of thedata, it concluded that the SQ3R method has proven to be effective in capturing students' attention so that their understanding can increase.

Abstract

Abstract: This exploratory study aimed to describe the current teachers’ acceptance and use of online media for primary school in rural areas.The study used interview and survey as data collection methods which were divided into two focus questions. This study adopted six indicators of Technology Acceptance Model by Davis to measure the participants’ experience on using online learning media. The participants consisted of 30 teachers from four private and government schools in Indonesia. The data collection methods for this study included a survey and open-ended face-to-face interviews in the sense of triangulation for validity and reliability. This study explored the current condition qualitatively, classified each indicator based on interview data reduction and analyzed descriptively. The study found the teachers’ accept using online media in integrated learning but they cannot use it because of the lack facilities and the schools’ rules of using online media. The external variables, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and attitudes of the teacher showed the positive acceptance for online learning implementation. Unfortunately, they did not find support to enhance their lack of behavioural intention use and actual use during the teaching practice.The study proposes the development of a supportive environment and facilities to support factual use of online learning in rural areas. This study recognises that online learning was perceived as important to maximize potential of teaching in rural areas. It also highlighted that teachers in rural areas have behavioural intention to implement online learning although in limitation. This study presented significant gap between teachers’ technology acceptance and usage in rural area to be highlighted toward the affordable online learning in the future Keywords: elementary school; teachers’ acceptance; teachers’ use; online media; technology Abstrak: Penelitian eksploratif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerimaan dan penggunaan media online oleh guru saat ini untuk sekolah dasar di pedesaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data wawancara dan survei yang terbagi menjadi dua pertanyaan fokus. Penelitian ini mengadopsi enam indikator Technology Acceptance Model untuk mengukur pengalaman peserta dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran online. Pesertanya terdiri dari 30 guru dari empat sekolah swasta dan negeri di Indonesia. Studi ini menggali secara kualitatif kondisi terkini dan mengklasifikasikan setiap indikator berdasarkan reduksi data wawancara kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menemukan penerimaan guru menggunakan media online dalam pembelajaran terpadu tetapi tidak dapat digunakan karena kurangnya fasilitas dan aturan sekolah dalam menggunakan media online. Variabel eksternal, persepsi kemudahan penggunaan, persepsi kegunaan dan sikap guru menunjukkan penerimaan yang positif terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran online. Sayangnya, mereka tidak menemukan dukungan untuk meningkatkan kurangnya penggunaan niat perilaku dan penggunaan aktual selama praktik mengajar. Studi ini mengusulkan pengembangan lingkungan dan fasilitas yang mendukung untuk mendukung penggunaan faktual pembelajaran online di daerah pedesaan. Studi ini mengakui bahwa pembelajaran online dianggap penting untuk memaksimalkan potensi pengajaran di pedesaan. Ditegaskan pula bahwa guru di pedesaan memiliki niat berperilaku untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran online meskipun dalam batasan. Abstract

This Community Service (CS) contained training and mentoring for all teachers and education personnel at the Laboratory Elementary School of UPI Serang Campus. The purpose of this CS is to provide basic knowledge and skills to teachers and education personnel about the prevention and handling of school bullying. The implementation of CS activities is carried out through three main stages. The first stage was an initial survey, aiming to gather information about the demographics of the participants and understand their level of understanding about bullying. This information became the basis for designing training that suited the needs of the participants. The second stage was the training to provide both insights and practical skills that can be applied immediately, which consisted of two main sessions: a session focused on introducing and understanding different forms of bullying, so that participants were able to recognise the signs and effects of this behaviour; and a session provided practical guidance to effectively respond to and deal with bullying in the school environment. The final stage was a final survey to evaluate participants' perceptions of the training materials that had been delivered as well as to formulate a follow-up plan for the workshop in form of lectures, brainstorming and interactive discussions to ensure the sustainability of the programme. The results of the training showed that the education units consisting of teachers and education personnel involved had a better understanding of the concept of bullying. They are expected to follow up on this activity by developing bullying prevention programmes in their respective schools, thus creating a safer and more inclusive learning environment.
