Abstract

This research has several objectives, including to find out; (1) increasing the application of the role playing learning model to students' ability to understand concepts; (2) student responses to learning using the role playing learning model; and (3) the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing learning using role playing models. The method used is a mix method with a sequential explanatory design. The research was located at Sukasari State Elementary School with research subjects of 30 class IV students. Data collection techniques through tests (pretest and posttest), observation sheets, interviews, and also questionnaires. Based on quantitative data obtained through the Ngain test, there was an increase in the ability to understand concepts in class IV students with an N-Gain score of 0.55 which was categorized as moderate. And the N-Gain Percent value is 55.7% with effective criteria. The qualitative data obtained, namely student responses, showed that the majority of students felt that the role playing model was interesting and fun, and made it easier for them to understand the material. Through interviews, the teacher revealed several obstacles, such as some students feeling less confident or reluctant to participate in role playing activities, then implementing role playing syntax requires time-consuming preparation when creating clear and interesting scenarios, and controlling the course of role playing so that it remains conducive.

Abstract

This research is based on the finding that every student has abilities and life values that they are not aware of regarding value education. This study aims to analyze learning planning in an effort to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes in social studies learning with the Value Clarification Technology method. The research design uses a quasi-experimental research model. The data collected is in the form of quantitative data through formative tests, analysis of observation sheets, and document analysis. The number of research subjects consisted of 60 students divided into two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. This research was conducted in a public school located in the Ciwidey District, Bandung Regency. The results showed that the application of the VCT model could increase students' motivation and learning outcomes in social studies learning. This is because the Value Clarification Technology model of the Value Analysis Type can be focused on things that are considered important by the teacher so that these important things can be observed in their entirety. The conclusion in this study is that learning using the Value Clarification Technique model of Value Analysis in Social Studies learning can increase students' motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The background of this research is to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students by using the Problem Based Learning model. This research uses a mixed methods approach, with a sample of 5th-grade students and a population of 30, consisting of 14 female students and 16 male students. The data processing results show an average pretest score of 42.19, while the average posttest score is 86.28. Additionally, the normality test value for the pretest is 0.066, whereas for the posttest it is 0.50. Thus, in terms of significance, both values meet the normality test criteria of 0.05, meaning this research can be accepted. Qualitatively, this research is considered successful, with the note that there were difficulties or challenges faced, such as difficulties in understanding the learning material, and occasionally there are some students in a class whose understanding abilities are lacking. Therefore, the conclusion of this research is that there is an improvement with the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model.

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of cooperative skills using a cooperative learning model of the student team achievement division (STAD) type and students' responses to learning using the STAD type cooperative model. The research method used is a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design. This research was conducted in one of the elementary schools in Batujajar with a total of 31 students. In this model, a group is given treatment and then given observation of results and processes. The data collection technique in this study uses observation sheets, student response questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses a normality test and an N-gain test assisted by the SPSS application. Based on the results of the study, the STAD type cooperative training model in improving cooperation ability has increased, as seen based on the results of the N-gain test with a score of 0.43 with the medium category, with a percentage of pretest scores of 63% and an increase of 17% in the posttest results, which is 80%. The learning model is said to be effective if the N-gain score obtained > 0.3 in the medium category, and students show a good response while using the STAD-type cooperative model based on the results of the questionnaire with an average score of 85, 9 in the very good category.

In this study, the population taken was elementary school VC class students located at SD Negeri Cicalengka 03, totaling 39 students consisting of 13 male students and 26 female students. The results of data processing show that the average score obtained can be proven by the average result of the pretest class which was not given the TPS learning model getting an average score of 62.41 and the score obtained by the posttest class getting an average score of 86.28. The conclusion of this research can be interpreted as that Think Pair Share is more effective in improving the critical thinking power of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The background of this research is to improve the collaboration skills of elementary school students, using the Jigsaw type cooperative model. This research used a mix method, with a sample of class IV students and a population of 30, consisting of 16 female students and 14 male students. The results of research data processing show that the average pretest score is 42.19, while the average posttest score is 86.28. Apart from that, the pretest normality test value is 0.066 while the posttest is 0.427, so significantly both values have met the normality test criteria, namely 0.05, meaning this research is acceptable. Furthermore, qualitatively, this research can be said to be successful, noting that there are difficulties or obstacles faced by teachers during learning, namely when conditioning students in conditions of moving from home groups and expert groups, because the atmosphere in the classroom is not conducive. So the conclusion of this research is that there has been an improvement with the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model for elementary school students.
