Abstract

Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic country, holds a critical position in global marine biodiversity, encompassing over 17,000 islands within the Coral Triangle, known as the epicenter of marine diversity. This region supports extensive ecosystems that are vital for ecological balance, economic stability, and the well-being of millions of people. However, these ecosystems face severe threats from overfishing, plastic pollution, and climate change, which collectively endanger marine biodiversity and disrupt coastal livelihoods. This community service program, conducted by the Educational Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Pattimura, aimed to strengthen community awareness and enhance administrative capacity for sustainable marine conservation in Negeri Mamala. The program incorporated educational sessions, digital technology, and hands-on community engagement to address critical marine conservation challenges. Key activities included awareness building, community training, and the integration of immersive technologies like Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) to improve participant understanding and retention. The results demonstrated significant improvements in community awareness, administrative skills, and active participation in conservation efforts, aligning with the principles of community-based conservation. This initiative provides a promising model for other coastal communities, highlighting the potential of integrating education, technology, and local engagement to achieve long-term sustainability in marine conservation. Moving forward, continued support, strategic partnerships, and ongoing capacity building will be essential for maintaining and expanding these positive impacts.

Abstract

Smartphone-based experimental equipment has been successfully developed for measuring a straight motion at a constant velocity. Read the data that comes out on the smartphone using the Accelerator Monitor software. The data is in graphic form. From the graph, it can be seen that the acceleration is zero. Furthermore vary the displacement distance, which is 100 cm and 130 cm to measure the velocity of the toy cars. The results showed that the time taken was 5 seconds and 6.5 seconds respectively for a displacement of 100 cm and 130 cm. The calculation of the velocity value for both displacements is the same value of 20 cm⁄s. This shows that the velocity value is constant which is equal to the graph results showing zero acceleration.

Abstract

Abstract

The socialization of partnerships between teachers and parents in the implementation of deep learning is a strategic effort to build a collaborative educational environment centered on students’ needs. The main goal of this activity is to strengthen mutual understanding of the importance of synergy between teachers and parents in supporting a meaningful, reflective, and sustainable learning process. The socialization was carried out through discussions, counseling sessions, and the exchange of experiences and best practices between schools and parents. The results show that open communication and strong cooperation enhance support for character development, critical thinking skills, and students’ learning independence. Furthermore, this activity fosters a shared commitment to creating a positive learning atmosphere both at school and at home. Therefore, collaboration between teachers and parents in deep learning serves as a key element in improving the quality of education and can be used as a model for other schools, especially in areas with similar socio-cultural and geographical conditions.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of academic credentials, competencies, managerial skills, and work discipline on the performance of high school academic personnel in Malang City. This research is a descriptive quantitative study employing a purposive sampling strategy to choose a sample of 100 teacher respondents from high schools in Malang City. Purposive sampling was selected to guarantee that participants fulfilled specified criteria pertinent to the research objectives, facilitating more focused and significant data collection. The study's findings reveal that all four variables significantly influence the performance of academic staff, with t-values (academic qualifications: 2.510, competencies: 2.610, managerial abilities: 2.632, work discipline: 2.632) exceeding the critical t-value of 2.036, and corresponding significance values (Sig 0.05) indicating strong statistical relevance. These findings underscore the necessity of targeted professional development programs focused on enhancing academic qualifications, competencies, managerial abilities, and work discipline to bolster academic staff performance. Future research should consider larger, more diverse samples and explore additional variables that could further illuminate factors influencing staff performance. Limitations of this study include the limited sample size and the use of quantitative methods that may not delve deeply into the perceptions and experiences of academic staff.
