Abstract

Learning outcomes are one of the important aspects in the learning process because it is used as a determining factor for the success of a learning process. The factors that influence student learning outcomes are divided into two, namely internal factors (learning interests, talents, motivation, self-regulation, etc.) and external factors (school environment, family environment, etc.). Self-regulation and learning interest were the focus of discussion in this research. This study aims to determine the positive and significant influence between independence and interest in learning on mathematics learning outcomes for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 24 Muaro Jambi. This type of research is associative quantitative research. The results showed that partially independence had a positive but not significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes with tcount = 1,323 and correlation coefficient 0,202, while interest in learning had a positive and significant effect mathematics learning outcomes with tcount = 4,193 and correlation coefficient 0,548. Simultaneously, independence and interest in learning have a positive and significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 24 Muaro Jambi as shown by the Fcount = 41,196, with an effect of 66,8% and 33,2% influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for more media use in mathematics learning. One of the impacts of the lack of media on learning mathematics is learning outcomes that could be more optimal. The media that can be used is technology, namely learning media based on the Quizziz application. The population of this study was students of SDN Dewi Sartika CBM, with the sample used being class 5 A of 35 people. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. This study aims to determine how using the Quizziz application in learning mathematics affects student learning outcomes. The data collection techniques used were interviews, tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis tests carried out in this study were the Validity Test, Reliability Test, Normality Test, T-test, and N-Gain Test. The results of the data analysis showed that the data values were normally distributed with an average Pre-Test score of 31.74 in the less category and an average Post-Test score of 66.37 in the less category. The results of the analysis of data testing through SPSS can be seen in the Coefficients value obtained by sig. 0.000. It turns out that the value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05. It means that H0 is rejected. This shows that using the Quizizz application in learning mathematics affects student learning outcomes at SDN Dewi Sartika CBM, Sukabumi City. The N-Gain test results show that the mean value is 50.30% in the less effective category.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in multiplication material. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Realistic Mathematics Education model assisted by fraction cards media on student learning outcomes in fraction multiplication material. The RME model was chosen because of the emphasis on contextual and meaningful learning through the connection of mathematical material with everyday life. The study used the Pre-Experiment method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design and involved 26 fourth-grade students of SDN Leuwiliang as samples. Data collection techniques used learning outcome tests and observations of student activities. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the RME model assisted by fraction cards, indicated by an average pretest score of 64.62 and a posttest score of 82.88. The results of the Paired Sample t-Test obtained a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, so there was a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after treatment. This finding is proven effective in improving student learning outcomes in fraction multiplication material in elementary schools

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to design, develop, and validate a culturally adapted Digital Fun Thinkers learning tool to enhance scientific conceptualization and learning responsibility among deaf and hard-of-hearing elementary students in Bengkala Village, Bali, Indonesia. Methodology: This study employed the ADDIE instructional design model and a one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design. The Digital Fun Thinkers tool was developed as an interactive multimedia application. Data were analyzed using Aiken’s V, paired-sample t-test, and normalized gain (N-Gain). Main Findings: Expert validation indicated high validity (media experts: V = 0.9583; material experts: V = 0.9350) and very practical use (user satisfaction = 81.39%). Students’ scientific conceptualization improved significantly (t = -37.997, p < 0.001; N-Gain = 0.7338, large effect). Learning responsibility averaged 66.28 (very high category). Novelty/Originality of this study: This study introduces a culturally grounded digital learning tool integrating Kata Kolok sign language, gamified features, and local scientific contexts for deaf learners. It advances inclusive science education by providing empirically validated, technology-enhanced resources tailored to marginalized DHH communities in rural settings.
