Abstract

This study investigates students' writing ability, both before and after, and the significant difference after using the Interactive Learning Strategy. This study is categorized as pre-experimental, involving one class as a treatment class. For this study, the sample was collected through a purposive sampling technique, which consisted of sixteen students. Eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Pulau Merbau were involved in this study. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 23. Researchers applied the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to evaluate data. Results showed an extensive difference in the writing skill of students before and after applying the Interactive Learning Strategy, with pre-test gain of 6.25% and post-test gain of 68.0%. Based on the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, it indicates that Ha is acceptable since sig (2-tailed) = 0.000. The decision-making ground for Ha is significant (sig < 0.05), while H0 is significant (sig > 0.05).

Abstract

Reading motivation among Generation Z students, particularly in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts, has become a significant concern in secondary education. This study aims to investigate the factors contributing to low motivation in reading English texts among high school students in Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu and explore effective strategies to enhance their engagement. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining surveys, interviews, and classroom observations with 150 students and 10 English teachers from SMA, SMK, and MA schools. The findings indicate that students' low reading motivation stems from digital distractions, lack of relevant reading materials, vocabulary difficulties, and insufficient external support from teachers and parents. The study also highlights that integrating digital reading platforms, gamification, personalized content, and teacher-student interactions can significantly improve reading engagement. The results align with previous research, emphasizing the importance of adapting instructional strategies to students' learning preferences. This study provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers in designing effective interventions to foster reading motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendidik anak usia dini di era digital dengan kisah-kisah Islami seperti kisah Nabi Daud dan Nabi Yusuf. Kisah Nabi disampaikan kepada anak usia dini agar menjadi contoh atau teladan yang baik bagi anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka, data diperoleh dari kajian Al-Qur'an, buku cerita, dan artikel jurnal. Hasil dari penelitian adalah keteladan, Nabi Daud adalah tidak sombong, memiliki jiwa pemberani sejak kecil, berlaku adil, berbicara sopan, selalu bersyukur dan bijaksana. Teladan yang muncul dari kisah Nabi Yusuf adalah kesabaran, pemaaf, ikhlas, dan saling menyayangi tidak pernah merasa iri terhadap saudara Nabi Yusuf.

Abstract

Natural disasters such as the earthquake in Central Sulawesi, particularly in Donggala Regency, have a significant impact on public health, making the preparedness of healthcare workers crucial. This study combines the results of three studies conducted at Punggava Tompe, Kanamaseha Batusuya, and Kami Seivi Lembasada Community Health Centers to identify factors associated with disaster preparedness among healthcare workers. All three studies used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach and involved total sampling, with 72, 57, and 70 respondents, respectively. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods using the Chi-square test. The synthesis results showed differences in findings across locations. Two studies (Tompe and Batusuya) indicated that knowledge was not significantly related to preparedness (p>0.05), while attitude was significantly related (p<0.05). In contrast, the study in Lembasada found that both knowledge (p=0.004) and attitude (p=0.000) were significantly related to preparedness. Overall, a consistent attitude plays a crucial role in improving disaster preparedness, while knowledge yields varying results depending on the context and conditions of the community health center. It is recommended that community health centers strengthen training, outreach, and disaster simulation programs, as well as increase the knowledge and positive attitudes of health workers to address disaster threats in earthquake-prone areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze factors related to worker compliance in implementing occupational safety and health (OHS) culture in the Palu City Bridge Construction Project Area IV at PT. Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. The study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 119 construction worker respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using univariate and bivariate tests. The results showed that knowledge (p=0.303) and work experience (p=0.592) were not significantly related to worker compliance in implementing an OHS culture. In contrast, supervision (p=0.001) was shown to have a significant relationship to worker compliance. These findings emphasize the importance of increasing supervision in the work environment, one of which is through the addition of safety officers in each project area, to strengthen the implementation of an OHS culture in the construction sector.

Abstract

Putus sekolah di Indonesia merupakan suatu masalah yang perlu diselesaikan. Angka putus sekolah tertinggi terjadi pada daerah-daerah terpencil di pelosok negeri. Oleh sebab itu pendidikan di daerah terpencil dapat dikatakan belum mendapatkan pendidikan yang setara dengan pendidikan di perkotaan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan kesungguhan untuk lebih cepat mengejar keterbelakangan yang sedang dirasakan oleh beberapa pihak masyarakat. Karena putus sekolah bisa mendatangkan efek yang serius untuk masa depan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan Tingkat partisipasi Masyarakat pada Pendidikan non formal di Desa Talapiti Kabupaten Bima dan menganalisis serta mendeskripsikan program Pendidikan non formal yang tepat untuk diterapkan di desa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam dengan penyelenggara dan peserta program pendidikan nonformal, serta studi dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Desa Talapiti Kabupaten Bima NTB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan nonformal, khususnya program pendidikan kesetaraan (Paket A, B, dan C), memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam menekan angka putus sekolah. Program-program tersebut tidak hanya memberikan kesempatan pendidikan kedua, tetapi juga membekali peserta dengan keterampilan hidup yang relevan dengan kondisi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat desa. Selain itu, keterlibatan masyarakat lokal dan fleksibilitas waktu belajar menjadi faktor pendukung keberhasilan pelaksanaan program. Kesimpulan pendidikan nonformal memainkan peran penting sebagai alternatif pendidikan yang adaptif dan memberdayakan. Untuk itu, perlu adanya peningkatan dukungan dari pemerintah dan stakeholder lainnya dalam hal pendanaan, fasilitas, pelatihan tutor, serta integrasi program dengan pembangunan desa agar pendidikan non formal dapat lebih optimal dalam mengatasi persoalan putus sekolah di pedesaan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran teknologi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran kolaboratif di lingkungan perguruan tinggi. Pembelajaran kolaboratif menjadi pendekatan yang semakin diterapkan di perguruan tinggi karena mampu mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi, kerja tim, dan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa. Teknologi, seperti Learning Management System (LMS), aplikasi berbasis cloud, dan perangkat lunak kolaboratif, memainkan peran penting dalam mendukung pembelajaran ini dengan memungkinkan mahasiswa dan dosen untuk berinteraksi tanpa batasan ruang dan waktu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, di mana berbagai penelitian terdahulu terkait implementasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran kolaboratif dianalisis secara sistematis. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa teknologi dapat memfasilitasi komunikasi yang lebih baik, menyediakan aksesibilitas yang lebih luas terhadap materi pembelajaran, dan memungkinkan umpan balik yang cepat dari dosen. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan akses teknologi, kurangnya literasi digital, dan minimnya dukungan teknis dari institusi dapat menghambat efektivitas pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis teknologi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, disarankan agar perguruan tinggi memberikan akses teknologi yang setara serta pelatihan literasi digital untuk mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran kolaboratif. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi institusi pendidikan dalam merancang strategi implementasi teknologi yang lebih inklusif dan efektif untuk pembelajaran kolaboratif di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is to improve the chemistry learning outcomes of class X students at the Muallimin Muhammadiyah Bangkinang Islamic Boarding School on the main material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions through the application of the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model. Methodology: The subjects of this research were 10th grade students of the Muallimin Muhammadiyah Bangkinang Islamic Boarding School. The number of students was 24 students consisting of 10 male students and 14 female students. The stages passed in the classroom action research were: 1) Planning/preparation of action, 2) Implementation of action, 3) Observation, and 4) Reflection. Main Findings: Based on the analysis of research results and discussion, it was concluded that the application of the Think Pair Share type of cooperative learning model can improve the chemistry learning outcomes of class X students of the Muallimin Muhammadiyah Bangkinang Islamic Boarding School. This is illustrated by the results of the learning completion obtained by students in accordance with the learning completion requirements set in the class. Student learning outcomes have met the minimum completion criteria as determined, where out of 24 students, 20 students have completed the learning, or are above the classical completion (75%). Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is to determine the effectiveness of applying the think pair share type cooperative learning model to improve chemistry learning outcomes in the discussion of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.

Abstract

Abstrak: Lansia akan mengalami proses dimana menurunnya kemampuan jaringan meregenerasi, mempertahankan kestabilan struktur tubuh, dan fungsi tubuh dalam menghadapi cedera ataupun infeksi. Lansia yang melakukan aktivitas fisik secara tidak aktif dapat menjadi faktor risiko penurunan kesehatan secara bermakna. Pengetahuan merupakan salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat aktivitas fisik lansia. Pengetahuan yang baik dapat mendorong lansia untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik dengan baik juga. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia tentang aktivitas fisik sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup menjadi lebih baik. Mitra pengabdian Masyarakat sebanyak 26 orang lansia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werda Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura dengan metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah dan diskusi dengan media edukasi melalui Powerpoint yang berisi materi informatif dan ilustratif serta dilanjutkan dengan senam lansia. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan membandingkan pretest dan posttest. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan setelah dilakukan edukasi aktivitas fisik lansia. Sebelum dilakukan edukasi aktivitas fisik lansia, terdapat sebagian besar partisipan (57,67%) yang memiliki pengetahuan cukup dan setelah dilakukan edukasi didapatkan bahwa pengetahuan partisipan sebagian besar telah meningkat menjadi pengetahuan yang baik (84,62%).Abstract: Elderly individuals experience a decline in the ability of tissue to regenerate, maintain the stability of body structures, and body function in the face of injury or infection. Inactive elderly individuals can be a significant risk factor for health decline. Knowledge is one factor that influences the level of physical activity in the elderly. Good knowledge can encourage elderly individuals to engage in physical activity well. The purpose of this activity is to increase the elderly's knowledge about physical activity so that they can improve their quality of life. The community service partners were 26 elderly people at the Sentani Tresna Werda Social Home in Jayapura Regency. The method used was lecture and discussion with educational media through PowerPoint containing informative and illustrative materials and continued with elderly exercise. The results of the activity evaluation were carried out by comparing the pretest and posttest. There was an increase in knowledge after the elderly physical activity education. Before the elderly physical activity education, the majority of participants (57.67%) had sufficient knowledge, and after the education, it was found that the knowledge of most participants had increased to good knowledge (84.62%).
