Abstract

Measurement of the volume of liquid in a vertical cylinder can be done by multiplying the area of the circle with the length of the cylinder. Likewise, measuring the volume of liquid in a horizontal pipe can also be done by multiplying the area by the length of the cylinder. There is a difference between the two measurements of the volume of liquid in the cylinder. In a horizontal cylinder, the measurement of area used is a measurement of the segment of the circle that is exposed to the liquid. To get the value of the circle area segment that is with geometric analysis. In this study, in measuring the volume of liquid in a horizontal cylinder using the multiplication between the circle area segment and the horizontal pipe length. The variables used in measuring the volume of liquid in a horizontal cylinder are, cylinder diameter 2r, liquid level H, and cylinder length L. So that in making this measuring instrument the volume of liquid in a horizontal cylinder has two variables, namely fixed and variable variables. free. For the fixed variables, namely the diameter and length of the cylinder, and for the independent variables, namely the level of the liquid level in the H pipe. In measuring the independent variables, a proximity sensor Type HC-SR04 is used. Installation of a volume measuring device on a horizontal cylinder using a PVC pipe connection type equal tee which is connected to other pipes with the same diameter with a predetermined total length. The fixed variable that has been determined is the cylinder diameter of 10.16 cm with a length of 100 cm.

Abstract

The development of the construction industry is changing very quickly. This is evidenced by the many construction projects being built in Indonesia, such as buildings, roads, bridges, etc. However, the delay in the development process is still an obstacle that must be resolved, one of which is the delay in the design process, even according to previous research, the delay based on the shop drawing process is 22%. Therefore, how to overcome delays due to the shop drawing process. Can the process of making shop drawings be more efficient? To minimize delays caused by the shop drawing design, the author will conduct research to create designs using drawing applications. By integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) several image applications which will then be combined with estimation data and project scheduling data. Many of these applications are found on the internet, but the integration applications that I will use include Vico Office for 3D, 4D, and 5D analysis, Sketchup for architectural design, Autodesk Revit for electrical design, Tekla Structure for structural design and SAP 2000 for structure analysis. It can be concluded from this study that time efficiency can be found in making project designs and can minimize delays caused by design and planning by 30% compared to the results of design and planning that do not use the concept of integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Sukabumi Regency has a very important role in moving the economic and social wheels of society, so it needs to be supported by good flexible pavement conditions. Conditions based on Bina Marga 2020 data show that there are several roads that are heavily damaged in several sub-districts of Sukabumi Regency. Poor implementation, inappropriate planning, excessive traffic loads and standing water on the road surface are the causes of road damage, so to find out this requires a road damage analysis. For this research using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. The results of this research show that the level of damage to all road surfaces studied according to the PCI method was taken from the average value of each STA, namely, the Caringin Cikukulu road section 62.25. So that the damage that has occurred to the road section does not become worse, it is necessary to immediately take repair action on the damaged units, so that it does not cause further damage. The choice of location for the author's research on the Caringin Cikukulu road was chosen because according to 2020 Bina Marga data the road was badly damaged.

Abstract

Abstract

A foundation is a structural element that transfer a building’s load to the ground. A common type of foundation is a pile foundation combined with a pile cap. During construction, the pile position may be eccentric due to field conditions without requiring changes to the pile cap design. However, this eccentricity can change the distribution of forces in the foundation system, affecting the structure’s safety and stiffness. This problem often arises due to unsuitable soil conditions or physical constraints. Finite element software is used to model the behavior of the structure in various pile point eccentricity scenarios. Eccentricities beyond this require reevaluation of the pile cap design and the foundation system as a whole. This may include adjusting the number of points to ensure the reaction is correct. Aims: This study aimed to analyze the effect of shifting pile positions on the performance of foundation structures when the pile cap design remains unchanged. Methodology and results: The pile position eccentricity scenario was carried out in stages: 0 cm (control), 10 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm, and 50 cm from the planned position. Simulation results show that, for eccentricity between 10 and 40 cm, the change in force distribution remains within safe limits (less than 20%). However, at an eccentricity of 50 cm, several piles showed an increase in axial force of up to 23.81% of the design value. Within certain limits, the pile point eccentricity is still acceptable without changing the pile cap design. Based on the simulation results, the safe tolerance limit for pile position eccentricity is up to 40 cm from the design position. Conclusion, significance, and impact study: Shifts beyond this limit require reevaluation of the pile cap design and the foundation system as a whole.

Abstract

The Sagaranten-Tegalbuleud road is a provincial road, with its geographic and topographic conditions quite complicated, the terrain quite difficult, causing not all areas to be well connected, and the reason for the low level of accessibility of this area. Therefore, determining the road geometry is an important part of driving comfort. Geometric planning focuses on horizontal and vertical alignments so that it can fulfill the basic functions of the road that provide optimal traffic flow comfort according to the planned speed. A re-survey was conducted to obtain geometric data on existing roads that did not comply with DGH standards, then it was re-planned. The results of the analysis are three bends with the Spiral-Circle-Spiral type, namely bend 9, bend 10 and bend 11 with RC = 17 m, and the slope is determined for the vertical geometrical alignment of the road. The results of this research analysis can be used as a reference for improving geometric roads so that accessibility between regions can be increased.
