Abstract

This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach aimed at analyzing the influence of the seven habits of great Indonesian children on the character of students in everyday life. In addition to using data collection techniques with triangulation (combination), the analysis is inductive or qualitative. The results obtained from using qualitative research itself emphasize the meaning of generalizations. Based on the research results, conducted through interviews and observations, it was found that the implementation of the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children at SD Negeri Kendawa 02 has a significant influence on the formation of student character in everyday life. Habits such as waking up early, maintaining health, being grateful, and being active in the learning process have been successfully internalized in student behavior, which is reflected in the improvement of their responsibility, independence, creativity, and academic and social abilities.

Abstract

Students conceptual understanding of science learning, particularly light and sound, is still low in fifth grade students at SDN Bulakparen 02. Students appear less active, ask fewer questions, and simply memorize without understanding the concepts. This condition indicates the need for learning media that can increase motivation and learning engagement, one of which is through gamification. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe how gamification is implemented, how students are engaged during learning, and how the media helps conceptual understanding. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that gamification makes learning more interesting, increases students' attention and participation, and helps them understand the concepts of light and sound better. Thus, gamification is an effective strategy to improve the quality of science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of language attitudes in the formation of polite communication character in elementary school students. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted at Pamengger 02 Public Elementary School. The research subjects consisted of 31 fifth-grade students. Data collection was conducted through observation activities and interviews with class teachers. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was strengthened by source triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that students' language attitudes are related to communication behavior that occurs in interactions in the school environment. Students' views on the use of Javanese also influence the way they communicate, both with teachers and with peers. Positive language attitudes can support the formation of polite communication character in students through the habit of using polite language in daily activities at school.
