Abstract

Background: Football is one of the most popular sports in society, sports injuries in early age soccer games can occur due to various things during training or during matches, such as physical training, techniques and tactics that are not programmed properly. Muscle flexibility plays a role as an important factor that influences the increased risk of injury. Muscle flexibility must be maintained in order to produce good flexibility. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the benefits of dynamic stretching, active isolated stretching and nordic exercise to improve hamstring muscle flexibility in SSB athletes. Methods: This study was conducted at the SSB Jayakarta soccer field, South Jakarta. This study was conducted for 6 weeks with a training intensity of 1 time a week in July 2024 - August 2024, with a sample of 36 SSB Jayakarta soccer players which is divided into 4 groups of 9 people each. The measuring instrument used to measure muscle flexibility is Active Knee Extension with Goneometer. Results: The results of the study in group I were p = 0.000, group II was p = 0.002 and group III was p = 0.000 using the paired samples t-test, indicating that all three interventions had an effect on increasing hamstring flexibility in SSB athletes. The ANOVA test showed a significant effect with a value (p <0.05) meaning there was a significant effect on the pre- post test. Conclusion: In conclusion, there was a significant difference between the Dynamic Stretching (K1) treatment group and the control group (K4), the Active Isolated Stretching (K2) treatment group and the control group (K4) and the Nordic Exercise (K3) with the control group (K4). However, in the Dynamic Stretching (K1), Active Isolated Stretching (K2) and Nordic Exercise (K3) treatment groups, there was no significant difference.

Abstract

Background: Snake bites are one of the most common health problems in tropical and subtropical countries. WHO has included snakebite in the list of neglected tropical diseases. The majority of Indonesians work in agriculture and are at high risk of being bitten by snakes. Pre-hospital handling of snakebites according to WHO recommendations by immobilizing using bandages and splints on the part affected by the snakebite then immediately refer to the nearest health service center.Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of snakebite health education on people's knowledge and behavior about handling snakebites before going to the hospital in Wungu Village, Wungu District, Madiun Regency.Method: The research design is quasi-experimental with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The population is the entire community of Wungu Village, Wungu District, Madiun Regency with a sample of 100 respondents by random sampling. Collecting data using a questionnaire analyzed with the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results of the research on community knowledge and behavior before being given health education were 44 people (88%) less knowledgeable and 39 people (78%), after being given health education, more than half of the respondents had good knowledge, namely 26 people (52% ) and many changes from good behavior as many as 29 people (58%).Conclusion: There is an effect of health education on people's knowledge and behavior about handling snake bites before going to the hospital with p = 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

Backgrounds: The role of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) in angiogenesis is impaired in diabetes mellitus. The present study was conducted to observe the effects of nanopartikel green tea on the ability of EPCs exposed to high levels of glucose to release NO and induce endothelial cell migration. Purpose: This study aims to describe the mechanism of the role of green tea nanoparticles in increasing migration of endothelial cells in HUVEC cultures exposed to EPC-CM. The function of EPCs was assessed by evaluating HUVEC migration after administration of EPC-Conditioned Media. HUVEC migration was assessed by the Boyden chamber assay method. Method: Green Tea Nano Particles treatment at doses of 30 nM and 50 nM significantly increased endothelial cell migration at high glucose exposure of 22 mM. At a dose of 50 nM, normal glucose exposure increased endothelial cell migration better than high glucose exposure. Administration of high levels of glucose resulted in a decrease in the ability of EPCs to induce HUVEC migration, decrease in NO of EPCs, and decrease in the factor affecting EPC migration, namely SDF-1α and CXCR4. Results: Administration of 50 μM of nanopartikel green tea could inhibit the decreased ability of EPCs to induce HUVEC migration, and this effect was associated with NO, SDF-1α and CXCR4 concentrations. Conclusions: Administration of nanopartikel green tea could maintain the ability of EPCs exposed to high levels of glucose to release NO and induce HUVEC migration through an increase in SDF-1α and CXCR4.
