Abstract

Speaking proficiency is a crucial skill for global communication, yet many Thai secondary school students struggle with fluency and confidence due to limited exposure to authentic language use and traditional grammar-focused instruction. Existing research on AI-assisted language learning highlights its potential, but studies on AI Gliglish in Thai classrooms remain scarce. AI Gliglish is an AI-powered English learning platform designed to provide real-time speech assessment, feedback, and interactive conversation practice. This study investigates the effectiveness of AI Gliglish in enhancing students’ speaking proficiency and confidence using a Classroom Action Research approach. Data were collected from 30 Grade 7 students at Muslim Satun Wittaya School, Thailand, through pre-test, post-test, interviews, and classroom observations. Findings indicate a 19.25% improvement in speaking scores, increased student participation, and reduced speaking anxiety. The Paired Sample T-Test (Sig. 0.001 0.05) confirms a statistically significant impact. These results suggest that AI Gliglish effectively enhances speaking skills, supporting its integration into English language education to foster engagement, fluency, and confidence.

Abstract

This study was initiated due to challenges in student learning activities, particularly in mathematics. The teaching method used was predominantly lecture-based and teacher-centered, which led to student boredom and low learning outcomes. Educators mostly employed lectures and question-and-answer sessions without incorporating varied strategies or engaging media. As a result, students showed limited improvement in mathematics performance. The research aimed to examine the impact of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) model, supported by the use of number wheel media, on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students at the Pandan Malaysia Learning Studio. This study used a quantitative research approach with a one-group experimental design. The sample included all 13 grade II students at the studio. The research instrument was a mathematics test consisting of 12 validated items, administered as both a pre-test and a post-test. Findings showed a significant improvement in student outcomes after implementing the CRT model with number wheel media. The average score of the control class was 58.00, while the experimental group that used the innovative method scored an average of 79.23. Based on the “Independent Samples Test,” the significance value (sig. 2-tailed) was 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant effect. In conclusion, the study found that the Culturally Responsive Teaching model, when combined with number wheel media, positively influenced the mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students at the Pandan Malaysia Learning Studio, highlighting the importance of engaging, student-centered learning strategies.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources, including reading skills acquisition. However, preliminary observations indicate that students' reading skills at Sanggar Bimbingan Muhammadiyah Kepong, Malaysia, are still low. This study aims to improve students' reading skills through the use of Flash Card media. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, where each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observations, reading skills tests, and documentation. The results of the study show that the use of Flash Card media significantly improves students' reading skills. In the pre-action stage, the average student score was only 43, with a mastery percentage of 47.37%, categorized as low. After implementing Flash Card media in Cycle I, the average score increased to 57, with a mastery percentage of 57% (categorized as moderate). In Cycle II, there was a significant improvement, with an average score of 91.42 and a mastery percentage of 88.2% (categorized as very good). Additionally, students' confidence in reading improved, as well as their active participation in learning. The conclusion of this study is that Flash Card media is effective in enhancing students' reading skills. The combination of Flash Cards with interactive learning methods has been proven to enhance students' understanding, reading speed, and memory retention of letters and words. Therefore, Flash Card media is recommended as an innovative learning strategy to improve students' reading skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyebarkan dampak penggunaan media diorama terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di Sanggar Bimbingan Muhammadiyah Kepong Malaysia, khususnya dalam memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre -eksperimen one group pre-test post-test . Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas IV, yang berjumlah 15 orang, dan dijadikan sampel penelitian. Instrumen tes diberikan dalam dua tahap, yaitu pre-test sebelum perlakuan dan post-test setelah perlakuan. Data dianalisis melalui uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, serta uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata skor pre-test sebesar 70,5 yang meningkat menjadi 89,6 pada post-test . Uji hipotesis dengan Paired Sample t-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Dengan demikian hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, sementara hipotesis nol (H 0 ) ditolak. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan media diorama secara signifikan memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas IV di Sanggar Bimbingan Muhammadiyah Kepong Malaysia.

Abstract

This study aims to see the readiness of each educator in using knowledge-based learning models of technological pedagogic content in Civics learning. In this case, educators and lecturers play an important role in controlling the learning situation of technology pedagogic content knowledge, researchers consider one of the most effective learning models to be TPACK. In this study, researchers used quantitative research methods to measure the extent to which the learning model influenced knowledge of technological pedagogic content and the readiness of students to carry out learning in the classroom environment. The results of the study show that the TPACK model is very effective in the learning process, especially in Civics subjects, that incorporating TPACK into teacher preparation and professional development programs can lead to improved teaching practices and student learning outcomes. TPACK has become an increasingly important framework in education, as technology continues to play a greater role in teaching and learning.

Abstract

Daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) merupakan tanaman yang kaya akan berbagai zat gizi penting seperti vitamin A, vitamin C, kalsium, zat besi, dan protein. Meskipun memiliki kandungan gizi yang sangat baik, namun pemanfaatan daun kelor di masyarakat Indonesia belum banyak dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pengembangan usaha kecil menengah (UKM) dalam rangka meningkatkan perekonomian khususnya di Kecamatan Medan Denai sebagai alternatif pangan atau makanan ringan dan sebagai pendongkrak UMKM. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada ibu-ibu PKK di Kecamatan Medan Denai tentang pengolahan daun kelor menjadi produk yang mudah dikonsumsi dan bernilai gizi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan antusiasme peserta dalam mengolah daun kelor menjadi produk yang sehat dan bergizi, seperti Mini Cookies Moringa dan Keripik Moringa. Produk tersebut dapat menjadi pilihan camilan yang lebih sehat dan bergizi dibandingkan camilan konvensional, serta dapat membantu meningkatkan asupan gizi masyarakat khususnya anak-anak, ibu hamil, dan ibu menyusui. Dengan pengemasan yang tepat dan jangkauan pemasaran yang lebih luas, produk olahan daun kelor berpotensi untuk lebih dikembangkan menjadi produk unggulan yang memiliki nilai pasar tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of the Flipped Classroom approach on the writing proficiency of EFL students, particularly focusing on the aspects of complexity and accuracy. The research employed a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design and was conducted at Darul Muhmin School, Satun, Thailand. A total of 20 students participated in the study. They were given a pretest to measure their initial writing proficiency, followed by a series of lessons using the Flipped Classroom approach, and finally a posttest to assess improvements. The instructional method involved students learning theoretical content independently through videos and digital modules outside the classroom, while class time was used for writing practice, discussion, and feedback. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 29.00, with a Paired Sample T-test employed to determine the significance of the treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ writing scores after the treatment. The mean score increased from 74.50 (pretest) to 90.25 (posttest), and the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.001, which is less than 0.05. These findings indicate that the Flipped Classroom approach had a meaningful effect on enhancing the complexity and accuracy of students’ writing. Therefore, the Flipped Classroom can be considered an effective pedagogical strategy in EFL writing instruction.

Abstract

Teacher assessment is a crucial factor in fostering students' motivation to improve their foreign language skills and language competency during the learning process. Engaging students in active learning has been proposed as a means to enhance learning outcomes, motivation, and attitudes towards learning. Although previous research acknowledges the significance of assessment in shaping these factors, there is a lack of specific investigation in this area. The objective of this study is to elucidate the intricate correlation between teacher assessment and student engagement in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. This research uses a qualitative research design by conducting direct interviews to collect and analyze data. There are 3 of the 4 English teachers at SMP Swasta Al-Muslimin Pandan were included in the study at random as participants. The results of research perceived by EFL school teachers reveal that involving students in the assessment process, such as through self-assessment and peer assessment activities, further enhanced their engagement and ownership of their learning journey.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad 21 bertujuan melahirkan generasi yang memiliki inovasi dan keterampilan belajar, mampu menggunakan dan mengakses media informasi, serta dapat menggunakan keterampilannya untuk bertahan hidup atau memiliki life skills. Rendahnya kemampuan Literasi menjadi permasalahan utama dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan abad 21. Guru sebagai sendi utama pendidikan harus turut mengambil peran dalam perubahan ini, salah satunya adalah dengan melakukan inovasi model pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini inovasi yang ditawarkan adalah model pembelajaran Analisis Dampak Kedatangan Guru Indonesia di Sekolah Thailand : Studi Kasus Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah sebagai solusi peningkatan kemampuan literasi dalam pembelajaran di sekolah Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah studi literatur, wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa Model pembelajaran Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah dapat digunakan menjadi salah satu solusi dalam meningkatkan literasi dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini dikarenakan model pembelajaran ini telah memanfaatkan pembelajaran berbasis literasi dimana bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks dan mengaitkannya dengan pengalaman pribadi sehingga terbentuk pribadi pembelajar sepanjang hayat. Selain itu proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan tahapan Literasi, Orientasi, Kolaborasi, dan Refleksi ini mendorong peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis hingga pada akhirnya siswa memiliki kemampuan mengelolah informasi dan berkomunikasi secara kreatif baik verbal maupun tulisan, bahkan digital dan visual. Harapannya diterapkannya pembelajaran Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah pada pelajaran ini dapat melahirkan generasi muda yang memiliki kepekaan social dan tidak skeptis terhadap perkembangan bangsa hingga akhirnya dapat berperan aktif dalam persaingan global secara positif.
