Abstract

Teacher assessment is a crucial factor in fostering students' motivation to improve their foreign language skills and language competency during the learning process. Engaging students in active learning has been proposed as a means to enhance learning outcomes, motivation, and attitudes towards learning. Although previous research acknowledges the significance of assessment in shaping these factors, there is a lack of specific investigation in this area. The objective of this study is to elucidate the intricate correlation between teacher assessment and student engagement in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. This research uses a qualitative research design by conducting direct interviews to collect and analyze data. There are 3 of the 4 English teachers at SMP Swasta Al-Muslimin Pandan were included in the study at random as participants. The results of research perceived by EFL school teachers reveal that involving students in the assessment process, such as through self-assessment and peer assessment activities, further enhanced their engagement and ownership of their learning journey.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad 21 bertujuan melahirkan generasi yang memiliki inovasi dan keterampilan belajar, mampu menggunakan dan mengakses media informasi, serta dapat menggunakan keterampilannya untuk bertahan hidup atau memiliki life skills. Rendahnya kemampuan Literasi menjadi permasalahan utama dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan abad 21. Guru sebagai sendi utama pendidikan harus turut mengambil peran dalam perubahan ini, salah satunya adalah dengan melakukan inovasi model pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini inovasi yang ditawarkan adalah model pembelajaran Analisis Dampak Kedatangan Guru Indonesia di Sekolah Thailand : Studi Kasus Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah sebagai solusi peningkatan kemampuan literasi dalam pembelajaran di sekolah Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah studi literatur, wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa Model pembelajaran Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah dapat digunakan menjadi salah satu solusi dalam meningkatkan literasi dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini dikarenakan model pembelajaran ini telah memanfaatkan pembelajaran berbasis literasi dimana bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks dan mengaitkannya dengan pengalaman pribadi sehingga terbentuk pribadi pembelajar sepanjang hayat. Selain itu proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan tahapan Literasi, Orientasi, Kolaborasi, dan Refleksi ini mendorong peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis hingga pada akhirnya siswa memiliki kemampuan mengelolah informasi dan berkomunikasi secara kreatif baik verbal maupun tulisan, bahkan digital dan visual. Harapannya diterapkannya pembelajaran Tentang Perubahan Dalam Metode Pengajaran dan Budaya Sekolah pada pelajaran ini dapat melahirkan generasi muda yang memiliki kepekaan social dan tidak skeptis terhadap perkembangan bangsa hingga akhirnya dapat berperan aktif dalam persaingan global secara positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyebarkan dampak penggunaan media diorama terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di Sanggar Bimbingan Muhammadiyah Kepong Malaysia, khususnya dalam memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre -eksperimen one group pre-test post-test . Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas IV, yang berjumlah 15 orang, dan dijadikan sampel penelitian. Instrumen tes diberikan dalam dua tahap, yaitu pre-test sebelum perlakuan dan post-test setelah perlakuan. Data dianalisis melalui uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, serta uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata skor pre-test sebesar 70,5 yang meningkat menjadi 89,6 pada post-test . Uji hipotesis dengan Paired Sample t-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Dengan demikian hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, sementara hipotesis nol (H 0 ) ditolak. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan media diorama secara signifikan memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas IV di Sanggar Bimbingan Muhammadiyah Kepong Malaysia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dampak platform pembelajaran digital realitas tertambah Malaysia Assemblr Edu terhadap keterampilan analitis siswa di Pusat Bimbingan Belajar Kampung Baru. Penerapan teknologi realitas tertambah secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan Assemblr Edu untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen kuantitatif yang memanfaatkan desain pra-tes dan pasca-tes dengan satu kelompok. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata meningkat dari 52,9 sebelum ujian menjadi 85 setelahnya. Nilai-t sebesar -11,018, yang diperoleh dari analisis regresi linier parsial dengan 17 derajat kebebasan pada tingkat signifikansi 5%, melampaui nilai t-tabel kritis sebesar 1,740. Hipotesis nol, Ho, ditolak demi hipotesis alternatif, Ha. Perakitan media memberikan keuntungan ganda bagi siswa kelas lima di Pusat Bimbingan Belajar Kampung Baru di Malaysia: meningkatkan kemampuan analitis mereka dan memperkaya pemahaman mereka tentang konsep-konsep filosofis dan agama.

Abstract

Keterampilan digital untuk menggunakan berbagai jenis media pembelajaran berbasis digital dalam pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka menjadi salah satu tuntutan dan tantangan bagi setiap guru. SMA Swasta Al-Maksum dan tim PKM FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) pada Juni 2023 s/d Oktober 2023 telah menjalin kerjasama melalui pengembangan dan pelatihan guru dalam pemikiran kreatif berbasis proyek untuk menghasilkan inovasi dalam desain perangkat pembelajaran sebagai langkah sekolah dalam rangka penerapan kurikulum tersebut. Pelatihan dan pendampingan selanjutnya masih diperlukan untuk tindak lanjut terkait pada penggunaan ragam media pembelajaran. Hal ini dikarenakan temuan dalam observasi menunjukkan ketrampilan digital guru masih belum maksimal. Penggunaan media power point (PPT) yang digunakan guru masih mendominasi dan sebagai media andalan dalam setiap pembelajaran. Kemudian, buku teks, nonteks, dan bahan ajar menjadi satu-satunya perangkat belajar sehingga siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan literasi. Pelatihan dan pendampingan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality  Dengan bantuan situs web Assembly Education menawarkan solusi untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan digital guru SMA Swasta Al-Maksum Medan. Selain itu kemampuan literasi siswa dan kemandirian siswa dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkat dikarenakan mereka memiliki kemampuan untuk mengakses informasi, bekerja sama dengan orang lain, dan mempelajari bakat mereka sendiri. Peningkatan ketrampilan digital guru bergantung pada kesiapan guru dan dukungan oleh pihak sekolah sehingga pada akhirnya tuntutan dari implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dapat dipenuhi secara maksimal dan dapat melatih siswa dalam berbagai aspek, seperti disiplin, berani, sopan, dan berbakat.

Abstract

Numeration is the ability to apply the concept of numbers and mathematical operations in everyday life. Such research is a qualitative descriptive method with case studies. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. Many students still do not understand arithmetic. things. This is because students are less trained in various things in the form of arithmetic. It could also be one of the causes of the low numeracy skills of Grade 4 students at the Guidance Center of Kampung Bharu Malaysia. Students need to understand multiplication learning because it is needed in everyday life. As a teacher, it is therefore important to apply what you have learned to numbering at a minimum: one day and one hour to add up the number of students. This being an important reason for teachers to innovate learning to count means being a facilitator and observer, from teacher to student. user, developer, and maker; The teacher's innovation process in the three stages of learning to count through: introductory concepts, transitions/stages and symbol stages; and the impact of teacher innovation. The multiplication box learning method to increase logical-mathematical intelligence in the sense of logical thinking, can add storage, can categorize, can add numbers, can learn to act, to become a problem solver, to understand cause and effect and to be able to do it to increase accuracy. (1) this environment includes aspects such as: interesting, fun and increases student creativity (2) The quality of quantitative media in learning Visual Figures is "very good" with an average of 3.3. (3) Student test scores using supporting media to solve open-ended questions after learning the number of degrees related to numbers increased by 128.2% and students participated more actively in the learning process.

Abstract

This study is based on the low interest in learning students, especially in mathematics, and the limited ability of students to understand flat shapes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate students' abilities before and after the implementation of puzzle learning media, and to identify the impact of using the media on students' understanding in grade 2 of Kepong Elementary School, Malaysia. The population and sample of the study consisted of 20 grade 2 students of Kepong Elementary School, Malaysia. Data collection was carried out through a test that included 10 questions. Data analysis included Validity Test, Reliability Test, and Hypothesis Test. The results of the Validity Test showed that 9 questions were valid, while 1 question did not meet the validity criteria with a coefficient value of 0.299. Meanwhile, the results of the Reliability Test showed that 9 valid questions had a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.798, which indicated a good level of reliability. Hypothesis Testing through paired sample tests produced a p value of 0.000, which was smaller than 0.05, so H1 was accepted. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using tangram media on the achievement of mathematics learning objectives of grade II students of Sanggar Bimbingan Kampung Bharu Malaysia, especially on geometry material. This study adopted a quantitative design with a pre-experimental approach of one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 10 students as samples. The instrument used was multiple choice questions and its validity and reliability were tested using SPSS. Hypothesis testing was carried out by Analysis using paired sample t-test. The findings of the study revealed a p value <0.001, which indicated a significant difference between students' pretest and posttest scores. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of tangram media significantly improves students' mathematics learning outcomes, especially on geometry material. This study recommends the use of tangram media as an interesting and effective learning medium.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of students at Sanggar Bimbingan Kepong, Malaysia. One of the influencing factors is the lack of engaging learning media. This study aims to analyze the effect of flipbook with sequential images on improving students' reading comprehension skills. The research method used was a one-group pre-test post-test design with a sample of 10 students. Data were analyzed using validity test, reliability test, normality test, and hypothesis test. The results showed that the research instrument was valid and reliable, with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.824. The normality test indicated that the pre-test and post-test data were normally distributed. The hypothesis test using the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test (70.70) and post-test (81.90) scores, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). This proves that using a flipbook with sequential images positively impacts students' reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

The objectives of this research include the design and development of Smart Box media to introduce Indonesian cultural heritage to students at Sanggar Belajar Kepong, Malaysia. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model approach, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Dissemination. This media is designed to increase students' interest and understanding of Indonesian culture. Data collection was carried out through validation and questionnaires involving 16 students. At the Define stage, student needs and learning objectives were identified. At the Design stage, the media concept and content were designed. At the Develop stage, the media was developed and tested. Finally, the Dissemination stage was carried out by introducing the media in learning activities. The results showed that the use of Smart Box significantly increased student engagement and provided an interactive learning experience. This media obtained a validity value of 95% from material experts, 94% from media experts, and 100% from teacher and student questionnaires, all of which were in the very valid category. The application of this systematic development model has been proven to be able to increase student participation and understanding of the material. Therefore, Smart Box is expected to be an effective solution in introducing Indonesian culture, especially in the context of education abroad.
