Abstract

Mental training involves seeing or feeling psychologically the appearance of a skill in motion learning without displaying physical skills. Mental exercise becomes effective as an aid to improve motion learning skills. Mental exercise works very well when used in combination with skill training, both based on neoromuscular and cognitive. Psychic training is an effective method of learning to prepare well-learned skills in sports and health physical education learning. Mental training can help a student do the exercises to learn a skill. Mental exercise works well when combined with physical exercise. People who have high levels of ability in psychic training have high abilities in motion learning so that both levels of ability are important in motion skills to get optimal results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of physical fitness of class X students of SMKN 1 Singosari. This research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study was class X students of SMKN 1, namely 799 Singosari students. The sample size was 103 students. Data were collected through direct observation with TKJI measurements. The data analysis technique was carried out by calculating the average score of each type of test and comparing it with the TKJI national assessment category. male students showed 12 students in the very good category, 20 students in the good category, 11 students in the sufficient category, 6 students in the less category, and 1 student in the very less category. While female students showed 8 students in the excellent category, 31 students in the good category, 10 students in the sufficient category, 3 students in the less category, and 1 student in the very less category. These results indicate that 20 19% of students are in the excellent category. The results of the analysis showed that the majority of students had muscle strength in the “good” and “fair” categories, with the back-up test providing the best results. These findings suggest that students use their lower back muscles more than their arms and abdominals. In addition, male students are usually better than female students.

Abstract

Bullying remains a persistent problem in schools, negatively impacting students' psychological and social well-being. While physical education has the potential to foster positive character traits, the use of traditional games to promote anti-bullying attitudes is still underexplored, and physical education teachers do not yet have a structured model for implementing such approaches effectively. This research utilized a Research and Development (R&D) approach conducted in Lombok, Indonesia. The development procedure included needs analysis, model design, expert validation, limited field trial, extensive field trial, and iterative revisions. A limited trial was carried out with 30 elementary school students, while the extensive trial involved 120 students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The developed model, based on traditional games such as gobak sodor, fort and engklek, was validated by experts and successfully implemented in selected schools. Results indicated significant improvements in students’ empathy and mutual respect, accompanied by a noticeable reduction in aggressive behavior. Teachers reported high acceptance and ease of application. The study concludes that integrating traditional games into physical education lessons can foster anti-bullying attitudes in students. This culturally grounded, character-focused model enhances social-emotional learning and provides practical tools for educators to address bullying through inclusive and meaningful physical activity.

Abstract

Motor movement skills are an important foundation in the physical and cognitive development of elementary school-age children. However, physical education learning in many schools is still less than optimal in developing the motor aspects as a whole through an approach that is in accordance with the characteristics of the child. This study aims to examine the influence of the great Indonesian Children's Gymnastics program on the motor movement ability of elementary school students. The method used was a experiment with a Pretest-Posttest Design with Control Group, involving 60 students in grades IV and V in one of the public elementary schools in Malang district. Motor ability measurement is carried out through four aspects: running, balance, agility and leg muscle strength. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant improvement in all aspects of motor movement after participating in the great Indonesian children's gymnastics program (p < 0.05). However, the level of significance indicated only a modest effect size, suggesting that the impact, while meaningful, was relatively small. These findings suggest that movement-based gymnastics designed in a fun and structured manner can contribute to the improvement of children's motor skills, although further refinement of the program may be needed to achieve stronger outcomes. This study concludes that Great Indonesian Children’s Gymnastics can serve as an alternative learning strategy in elementary schools to support motor development, but its effectiveness requires further optimization.
