Abstract

The item differential function (DIF) describes a situation in which testees of similar ability but from different demographic groups have varying chances of achieving the same result. This study aims to identify the function of uniform and non-uniform differential items on the Kentucky Inventory of Mindfulness Skills Instrument using logistic regression techniques and determine the impact of DHF on construct validity. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The study involved 602 people, divided into two groups based on gender: 301 women and 301 men. The Kentucky Inventory of Mindfulness Skills (KIMS) is a 39-item online questionnaire that measures mindfulness. KIMS has been proven to meet content, construct, and factor validity and has good test-retest reliability and internal consistency estimators. This study uses Regression Logistics to detect DIF, analyzed with R Studio 4.1.3 software. Research results found 17 DIF items detected using logistic regression, 13 uniform DIF items, and four non-uniform DIF. Through CFA, we have succeeded in proving that DIF-free items are proven to have better construct validity. The implications of this study are expected to inspire counseling psychologists to be more careful in using rating scales or instruments. The validity and reliability of the measures are not strong enough to justify that all measuring instruments are correct. However, it is also necessary to check for item bias or functional differential items to ensure that each item on the scale or instrument is understandable to all demographic groups and does not benefit only certain demographic groups.

Abstract

The concept of mental workload is fully used and leads to various theoretical and methodological models. For this purpose, we are conducted in the same way as a systematic review for understanding the concept and a factor that identifies work and work situations that affect personal tasks, or mental workload field. A systematic review was obtained from scientific papers issued from 2010-to 2021. Mental workload is multidimensional, so that a conceptual definition of mental workload should therefore integrally encompass the most elementary dimensions of mental workload. In general, most factors affected mental workloads, including working environments, individual differences, temporal pressure, and task difficulty/compliance complexity. Techniques for assessing subjective workloads are popular in several studies because of their ease of use and sensitivity to workload fluctuations. The NASATLX scale is the most common subjective technique and is used in a wide range of fields. Subjective and objective measurements cannot even measure all kinds of factors that affect mental distress. The main difficulty facing researchers is establishing standardized measurements of mental workload and its normal range so that effective comparisons can be made between groups of subjects. These results can provide measurement development recommendations using three approaches: subjective, objective, and behavioral.Keywords: mental workload; measurement; workload factors

Abstract

This article aims to explain 21st century learning technology and its relationship to PAI teaching material technology. As today's technology develops, rigid ways of learning can no longer keep up with the challenges of today's changing times with the rapid development of technological activities, so technology has an important role in PAI learning. This research uses qualitative research with the type of library research and observation to analyze how the technology of PAI teaching materials has developed in the 21st century. The results of this research show that the technological evolution of PAI teaching materials from time to time can be seen from the shape of the teaching materials and the nature of the teaching materials. , PAI learning was previously a source of knowledge references only focused on printed books. However, nowadays, students can easily access references to increase their knowledge and insight via the internet. Technology has an important role in PAI learning, which can be used as a medium for conveying learning messages to students, teaching materials are used more widely, not just limited to printed books. However, by utilizing existing technology. The technological platforms and tools used in PAI education include Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom, and E-Learning. ABSTRAKArtikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan teknologi pembelajaran abad 21 dan kaitannya dengan teknologi bahan ajar PAI. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi masa kini, cara belajar yang kaku tidak dapat lagi mengimbangi tantangan perubahan zaman saat ini dengan pesatnya perkembangan aktivitas teknologi yang begitu cepat, sehingga teknologi memiliki peran penting dalam pembelajaran PAI. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka (library research) dan observasi untuk menganalisis bagaimana perkembangan teknologi bahan ajar PAI abad 21. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa evolusi teknologi bahan ajar PAI dari masa ke masa dapat dilihat dari bentuk bahan ajar dan sifat bahan ajar, pembelajaran PAI yang dahulunya sumber referensi ilmu hanya terpaku pada buku cetak saja. Namun pada masa sekarang, peserta didik dapat dengan mudah mengakses referensi untuk menambah pengetahuan dan wawasan melalui internet. Teknologi memiliki peran penting dalam pembelajaran PAI, yang dapat digunakan sebagai media penyampaian pesan pembelajaran kepada peserta didik, bahan ajar yang digunakan lebih luas, tidak terpaku pada buku cetak saja. Akan tetapi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang ada. Adapun platform dan alat teknologi yang digunakan dalam pendidikan PAI antara lain Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom, dan E-Learning.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of Ministerial Regulation No. 17 of 2021 on the transition from structural to functional positions and its implications for the welfare of civil servants at IAIN Pontianak. As part of Indonesia's national bureaucratic reform aimed at fostering meritocracy and performance-based governance, the policy's effects were examined using a mixed-methods approach and exploratory sequential design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and online surveys involving 14 affected civil servants. Findings reveal that the policy positively influenced employees' financial well-being through increased allowances, clarified job roles, and improved work motivation. Despite transitional challenges such as workload adjustments, most respondents felt more valued and productive. The study concludes that the policy enhances both financial and psychosocial dimensions of employee welfare. The implication highlights the importance of justice and Islamic ethical principles in public policy, especially within religious institutions.
