Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi garis dan sudut mengikuti langkah-langkah yaitu: (1) merumuskan masalah, (2) menganalisis data, (3) menyusun konjektur, dan (4) membuat kesimpulan. Pada tahap merumuskan masalah, siswa diminta untuk berpikir bagaimana cara menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan. Pada tahap menganalisis data, siswa telah menemukan sudut dan pasangan sudut dengan warna yang sama maupun berbeda serta mampu menentukan hubungan antara dua sudut yang diberikan. Pada tahap menyusun konjektur, siswa mampu memberikan nama pasangan sudut yang diperoleh dengan bantuan karton, potongan karton yang diberikan tanda sudut dan busur derajat serta mampu memberikan nama pasangan sudut yang diberikan tanpa bantuan karton. Pada tahap membuat kesimpulan, hasil yang diperoleh siswa yaitu besar sudut dalam berseberangan adalah sama, besar sudut luar berseberangan adalah sama, besar sudut luar sepihak adalah 1800, besar sudut dalam sepihak adalah 1800, dan besar sudut sehadap adalah sama. Kata Kunci: Penemuan Terbimbing, Hasil Belajar, Garis dan Sudut Abstract: This research has something as a purpose for getting description about guidanced invention method in upgrading student’s studying result to line material and corner by following steps such as: (1) formulation problem, (2) analyzing data, (3) arranging conjecture, (4) making conclution. At formulation problem’s step students are asked for thinking how to solve the problems those are given. At analyzing data’s step, students have found the corner and the corner’s partner with the same colour event different and could find a connection between both corner thas have been given. At the arranging conjecture’s step. The students could give a name for the corner couple that has been given without any help thing. At the making conclution’s step, the results which the students have already got are a big corner in crossing, outside, out unilateral 1800, in unilateral 1800 and facing in the same. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan pendekatan scientific yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran di kelas VIII B MTsN Palu Selatan. Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Arikunto, dkk yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktifitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan data hasil tes ahir tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan scientific dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII MTsN Palu Selatan pada materi keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran mengikuti langkah-langkah, yaitu (1) mengamati, siswa mengamati fakta-fakta yang mereka temukan. (2) menanya, peneliti dan siswa melakukan tanya jawab terkait hal yang diamati. (3) menalar, siswa mengolah data yang diperoleh dari kegiatan menanya untuk memperoleh kesimpulan. (4) mencoba, siswa mengerjakan soal secara berkelompok. (5) membentuk jejaring, siswa bersama kelompoknya mempresentasikan hasil kerja kelompoknya di depan kelas. Kata kunci: Pendekatan Scientific, hasil belajar, keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran. Abstract: This study aims to obtain a description of the application of scientific approaches on the material and the area around the circle that can improve student learning outcomes of class VIII MTsN South Palu. The research design refers to the design of research Arikunto, dkk namely (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This research were conducted in two cycle. This research collects data about teacher’s activities while manage learning, data about student’s activities while attent learning and testing after action. The results showed that the application of a scientific approach can improve learning outcomes in the material and the area around the circle at MTsN South Palu with the following steps: (1) observing, students observe the facts they find. (2) questioning, the researchers and student did questioning and answering to the case observed. (3) associating, students process the data obtained from the activity ask for the conclusion. (4) experimenting, students work on the problems in groups. (5) networking, student and his group presented the group's work to the class. Key words: Scientific Approaches, Student Learning Outcomes, Circumference and Area Circle.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan metode latihan yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi limit fungsi di Kelas XI IPA SMA Alkhairat Kalukubula. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, data aktivitas guru dalam mengelolah pembelajaran dan data hasil tes akhir tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode latihan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Alkhairat Kalukubula pada materi limit fungsi mengikuti langkah-langkah yaitu: (1) mempersiapkan pembelajaran, (2) penyajian pelaksanaan, (3) uji coba perilaku dan (4) tindak lanjut. Kata kunci: latihan, hasil belajar, limit fungsi Abstract: This research aim to obtain a description applying exercises method approach able to improving result learning of limit function in class XI IPA SMA Alkhairat Kalukubula. The research type at this researchis a classroom action research (CAR). As the research design refered to the design of the research of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart that is (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation and (4) reflection.This research was conducted in two cycles. This research collects data about student’s activities while attent learning, data about teacher’s activities while manage learning and testing after action. The conclution of this research is the applying ofexercises method that can improve the student’s learning outcomes on limit function in class XI IPA SMA Alkhairat Kalukubula through few steps that are: (1) prepare the learning, (2) presentation of implementation, (3) test of behavior and (4) follow up. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas X dalam menyelesaikan masalah SPLDV berdasarkan langkah-langkah Polya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian diambil tiga siswa dari 97 siswa yang terdiri dari satu siswa berkemampuan tinggi, satu siswa berkemampuan sedang dan satu siswa berkemampuan rendah. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) dalam memahami masalah siswa berkemampuan tinggi dan sedang mengidentifikasi informasi-informasi pada masalah dengan melibatkan pengetahuannya tentang kalimat “pernyataan” dan kalimat “pertanyaan”, sedangkan siswa berkemampuan rendah tidak dapat memahami masalah; (2) pada tahap merencanakan pemecahan masalah siswa berkemampuan tinggi lebih kaya akan rencana penyelesaian dibanding subjek lainnya dengan kecenderungan menggunakan metode gabungan; (3) pada tahap melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian siswa berkemampuan tinggi dan sedang melaksanakan rencana dengan melibatkan pengetahuannya tentang persamaan, suku-suku sejenis, operasi pada bentuk aljabar dan operasi bilangan bulat; (4) pada tahap memeriksa kembali hasil pekerjaan siswa berkemampuan tinggi melakukan pemeriksaan kembali ditahap ketiga pemecahan masalah, kemudian melakukan perhitungan ulang untuk meyakini jawabannya dengan cara mensubstitusi hasil yang diperoleh ke hal yang diketahui, cara tersebut sama halnya dilakukan oleh siswa berkemampuan sedang. This study aimed to describe the problem-solving class X students in solving problems SPLDV based measures Polya. This research is a qualitative research. The research subject was taken three students out of 97 students consisting of a high ability students, one student and one capable of being low-ability students. The results of this study were (1) to understand the problem and the high ability students are identifying information on the issue by involving knowledge of the phrase "statement" and the phrase "question", while the low-ability students can not understand the problem; (2) in stage the devising a plan of high ability students are richer than the settlement plan other subjects with a tendency to use a combined method; (3) at the stage of carrying out the plan of high-ability students and is implementing a plan by involving knowledge of equations, similar tribes, operating on the algebra and integer operations; (4) on stage to looking back the work of high-ability students do a re-examination of the third ditahap solving the problem, then do a recalculation to believe the answer by way of substituting the results obtained for the unknown, the same way as is done by the students capable of being. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi representasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah persamaan linear yang berkaitan dengan keliling dan luas persegi panjang di kelas VII E SMP Negeri 15 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas VII E SMP Negeri 15 Palu yang terdiri atas satu siswa berkemampuan tinggi, satu sedang dan satu rendah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tugas dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) Siswa berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah dalam memahami masalah dapat menggunakan representasi simbolik dan representasi verbal (2) Siswa berkemampuan tinggi dan sedang dalam merencanakan penyelesaian masalah dapat menggunakan representasi verbal. Sedangkan siswa berkemampuan rendah masih bingung menentukan penyelesaian masalah. (3) Siswa berkemampuan tinggi dalam melaksanakan masalah dapat menyelesaikan masalah dengan lengkap yaitu menggunakan representasi visual, representasi simbolik dan representasi verbal. Siswa berkemampuan sedang dan rendah hanya menggunakan representasi simbolik. (4) Siswa berkemampuan tinggi memeriksa kembali jawaban dengan menggunakan representasi verbal. Sedangkan siswa berkemampuan sedang dan rendah tidak memeriksa kembali jawaban, sehingga tidak ada menggunakan representasi matematis pada saat memeriksa kembali.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Luas Permukaan dan Volume Balok di Kelas VIII B SMP Negeri Tolitoli. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dengan tahapan: 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan tindakan, 3) observasi, dan 4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli yang berjumlah 28 orang siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Berdasarkan hasil tes akhir tindakan, diperoleh presentase ketuntasan klasikal siswa pada siklus I yaitu 60% dan presentase ketuntasan klasikal siswa pada siklus II adalah 85%. Hasil observasi guru dan siswa pada siklus I masuk ke dalam kategori baik dan pada siklus II masuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TPS untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Luas Permukaan dan Volume Balok di Kelas VIII B Negeri 3 Tolitoli, dengan fase model TPS yaitu: (1) think, (2) pair, dan (3) share.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical connection ability of class XI 2 SMA Negeri 1 Ampibabo students to complete a two-variable linear program based on high, medium and low mathematical ability. The results of this study show that the mathematical abilities of NR and BA students meet the following indicators: (1) being able to find and understand the relationship between various representations of concepts and linear programming procedures, (2) able to use linear programming material in everyday life, (3) able to understand the equivalent representation of linear programming concepts or the same procedure, (4) able to find connections from one procedure to another correctly, (5) able to use connections between the topic of systems of inequalities and the topic of linear programming and NA students: (1) only able to look for relationships but not yet able to understand the relationships of various representations and linear programming procedures, (2) able to use linear programming material in everyday life. (3) have not been able to understand the equivalent representation of the concept of a linear program or the same procedure. (4) able to find the connection of one procedure to another procedure. (5) students have not been able to use the connection between the topic of a two-variable linear inequality system with a linear programming topic

Abstract

This research aims to describe student’s problem solving related to combinatorial in class XII SMA Negeri 3 Palu viewed from self-efficacy. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are student who have a high levels of self-efficacy and low levels self-efficacy. The result of the research show that the problem solving profile of students who have; 1) high level of self-efficacy, a) understanding the problem stage, student try hard and persistently to interpret the problem by reading repeatedly to find information, b) devising a plan stage, students have strategic thinking, c) carrying out the plan stage, student solve the problem according to plan, d) looking back stage, students check answers. 2) low level of self-efficacy, a) stage of understanding the problem, students only rewrite the information in the problem, b) stage of devising a plan, students only read the problem as is so the plan used it wrong, c) stage of carrying out the plan, students made a mistake in solving the problem given, d) stage of looking back, student did not re- check the answers.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the types of errors made by class VII D students of SMP Negeri 7 Palu in solving line and angle problems based on gender. Data was obtained from the results of written assignments and interviews. The research subjects consisted of one male student (AA) and one female student (YS). The results of the research show that there are similarities and differences between male and female students in making written assignments number 1 and 2. Male and female students make the same mistakes in written assignment number 1. The similarities are: 1) Errors of not understanding the concept of the relationship between angles that are supplementary to each other, 2) the error of not understanding the concept of the relationship between the interior and exterior angles of a triangle, 3) the error of not solving the problem according to the instructions, 4) the error of not being coherent in the calculation steps, 5) the error of using arithmetic operation signs, 6) Error calculating the value of a calculation operation. Meanwhile, in written assignment number 2, there were differences in errors made by male and female students. The male students' mistakes were: 1) The male students were correct in doing the questions according to the instructions but not completely or comprehensively, 2) The male students were not careful and rushed in solving the questions. The female student's mistakes in written assignment number 2 were: 1) The female student was correct in choosing the formula but could not apply the formula, 2) The female student solved the problem not according to the procedure ordered. The similarity between male and female students in completing written assignment number 2 is that in the problem solving procedure they can group similar and dissimilar terms in the written assignment.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain a description or portrayal of the conceptual understanding of 8th-grade students in class G at SMP Negeri 3 Palu in solving statistics problems, with a focus on gender differences. This study adopts a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. The research subjects are 8th-grade students in class G at SMP Negeri 3 Palu. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. The results of this research indicate that male students have a better conceptual understanding compared to female students based on conceptual understanding indicators. Male students can fulfill four out of five indicators, while female students fulfill three out of five conceptual understanding indicators. Both male and female students can articulate the concepts of mean, median, and mode in their own words. They can present data in table form with the correct arrangement. Male and female students can solve mean problems using appropriate algorithms. Male students can classify modes, whereas female students struggle to classify modes accurately. Both male and female students find it challenging to associate the concept of median with the concept of mean.
