Abstract

Indonesia's agricultural production is divided into two main categories: vegetables and fruits. The vegetable category includes shallots, garlic, chilies, mushrooms, spinach, cabbage, and potatoes. One of the fruit commodities from the fruit horticulture subsector is bananas, which are divided into several types, including ambon, plantains, Cavendish, pipit, and horn bananas. One of the bananas that has a good selling value in Indonesia is the Cavendish banana, but the selling value of the Cavendish banana is determined by the quality of the banana fruit. A classification process is necessary to find out the quality of bananas. We perform classification using one of the deep learning algorithms, namely Convolutional Neural Network. The experiment uses 1047 images, divided into 65% training data, 15% validation data, and 20% testing data by using epochs 20 times with 16 batch sizes, the accurate results obtained are 99%. The results indicate the effectiveness of the confusion matrix in identifying training data and detecting images. It can be concluded that using more training data leads to higher accuracy, as fewer image reading errors occur when fewer images are processed. This classification is expected to be able to classify bananas with good quality like the real condition.

Abstract

History subject in secondary schools faces a number of challenges which may affect the efficiency of student learning outcomes. Several factors which influence such condition are the idea that history is less important than other subjects, lack of employing attractive educational methods and instruments, as well as limited facilities and learning resources in schools. An important aspect that needs to be reconsidered is the use of history-learning instrument beyond a classroom. This research explores the use of the archaeological site of Sangiran as a pre-literacy learning tool for junior high school students. This is a quantitative study which was carried out by a survey that involves the 10th grade high school students as research subjects. Sixty four students were divided into two groups, i.e. an experimental class consisting students who have visited the Sangiran site, and a control class of those who have not. The analysis indicates (sig 2 tailed) was 0.00 in the paired sample t test. Sig 0.00 is smaller than sig 0.05 (sig 2 tailed <sig 5-007). Thus, showing that the control class students did not share direct experience with historical material and passive learning activities. Consequently, they have not explored further the use of the Sangiran site as a means of learning. Students of the experimental class show better learning outcomes. The study concludes that learning history by visiting the Sangiran site can significantly increase awareness of the importance of history and encourage students' concern of the historical heritages. Mata pelajaran sejarah di sekolah menengah memiliki sejumlah tantangan yang dapat mempengaruhi efisiensi hasil belajar siswa. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kondisi ini, yaitu gagasan bahwa pendidikan sejarah kurang penting daripada mata pelajaran lain, kurangnya penerapan metode dan media pendidikan yang menarik, serta terbatasnya fasilitas dan sumber daya pembelajaran di sekolah. Aspek penting yang perlu dipertimbangkan kembali adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran sejarah di luar kelas. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan situs arkeologi Sangiran sebagai alat pembelajaran pra keaksaraan untuk siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik survei yang melibatkan subjek penelitian siswa SMA kelas 10. Enam puluh empat siswa dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimental yang terdiri dari siswa yang telah mengunjungi situs Sangiran, dan kelas kontrol dari mereka yang belum. Hasil analisis menunjukkan (sig 2 tailed) adalah 0,00 dalam t test sampel berpasangan. Sig 0,00 lebih kecil dari sig 0,05 (sig 2 tailed <sig 5-007). Dengan demikian diketahui bahwa siswa kelas kontrol tidak berbagi pengalaman langsung dengan materi sejarah dan kegiatan belajar pasif. Hal ini mengakibatkan mereka belum mengeksplorasi lebih lanjut penggunaan situs arkeologi Sangiran sebagai alat pembelajaran. Para siswa kelas eksperimental hasil belajarnya lebih baik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa belajar sejarah dengan mengunjungi situs kuno Sangiran dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya sejarah dan mendorong perhatian siswa terhadap warisan sejarah.

Abstract

Keterbatasan pemahaman mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam mengolah dan menginterpretasikan data statistik menjadi permasalahan umum yang berdampak pada rendahnya kualitas analisis dalam penyusunan tugas akhir. Workshop Pengolahan dan Interpretasi Data Penelitian dengan SPSS diselenggarakan di Program Studi Perbankan Syariah FAI UMT untuk memberikan solusi melalui pelatihan berbasis seminar dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 15 peserta dan dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengenali jenis data, memasukkan dan mengelola data dalam SPSS, serta menerapkan analisis statistik deskriptif maupun inferensial. Peserta dibimbing untuk memahami konsep dasar statistik, melakukan uji asumsi klasik, mengerjakan analisis regresi dan korelasi, serta menginterpretasikan output statistik secara tepat. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan peserta, yang ditandai dengan pencapaian 90% peserta mampu melakukan analisis deskriptif dan 75% menguasai analisis inferensial dasar. Selain peningkatan keterampilan teknis, pelatihan ini juga memperkuat kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam memilih dan menerapkan uji statistik yang sesuai untuk penelitian mereka. Secara keseluruhan, workshop ini efektif dalam menjembatani kesenjangan antara teori metodologi penelitian dan praktik analisis data, serta memberikan kontribusi penting bagi peningkatan literasi statistik mahasiswa akhir.

Abstract

The low ability to read the Qur'an properly and correctly is still a common problem among students, especially related to the mastery of tahsin, tajweed, and makharijul letters. This condition shows the need for a systematic training program to improve the quality of Qur'an reading. This workshop aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the rules of tahsin and train their ability to apply the procedures for reading the Qur'an according to the correct standards. The workshop was carried out through a theoretical and practical approach with classical methods, qiroah, and talaqqi exercises, involving 65 students of the Sharia Banking Study Program FAI UMT on May 1-30, 2025. The results of the activity showed a significant increase, where most of the participants were able to read the Qur'an more eloquently and according to the rules of tahsin. This activity is also the basis for evaluating and strengthening the curriculum to improve students' Qur'an reading competence in the future.

Abstract

This community education programme aimed to enhance the understanding of Muslim communities and MSME actors regarding the principles of halal–haram jurisprudence and the procedures for obtaining halal certification. The activity was conducted on 12 March 2025 at Al-Amin Bumi Mutiara Mosque, Gunungputri, Bogor, involving 40 participants and three MSMEs. The programme employed interactive lectures, case-based discussions, and technical mentoring. The results indicate a significant increase in participants’ knowledge of the fundamental principles of halal–haram, halal production processes, and the steps required for halal certification submission. Participants demonstrated strong engagement throughout the sessions, and five MSME owners expressed their readiness to initiate the halal certification process. Overall, the programme shows that structured education effectively promotes awareness and strengthens community commitment to implementing halal product assurance.

Abstract

Museums, as institutions preserving historical heritage, face significant challenges in the era of Digital 5.0, where innovation and technology are essential for conveying religious and academic values to the broader society. This study examines the digitalization information at the Muhammadiyah Museum in Yogyakarta, focusing on the innovation of historical information systems as a means of revitalizing ushuluddin values. A qualitative descriptive method is employed, using literature studies and documentation as the primary sources. The findings reveal that digitalization not only facilitates broader access to the Islamic historical narratives promoted by Muhammadiyah but also strengthens the transmission of Islamic values to younger generations in a contextual and interactive manner.
