Abstract

This study developed and evaluated a technology-integrated discovery learning model to strengthen elementary students' mathematical conceptual understanding and learning engagement. Although digital technologies are increasingly available in primary classrooms, mathematics instruction frequently remains dominated by teacher-centered practices that prioritize procedural fluency over conceptual reasoning. To address this problem, the study employed a Research and Development design guided by the ADDIE framework, which comprises analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The participants included fifth-grade elementary students involved in small-group and large-group trials, a classroom teacher, and three expert validators specializing in mathematics education, instructional media, and language. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, classroom observations, and pretest-posttest assessments. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, normalized gain analysis, and paired-sample t-tests. The findings indicate that the developed model achieved a high level of validity, with an average expert validation score of 90%. Teacher and student responses also showed that the model was highly practical, with an average practicality score of 89%. Furthermore, implementation of the model substantially improved students' mathematics learning outcomes, as reflected in high N-gain scores of 0.81 in the small-group trial and 0.75 in the large-group trial. Paired-sample t-tests confirmed significant differences between pretest and posttest scores (p < .05). These findings suggest that integrating discovery learning with digital technology offers a pedagogically sound, student-centered, and conceptually meaningful approach to elementary mathematics instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of internalizing social care character values, identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and analyze its influence on students' moral behavior at SD Negeri 2 Ganti, Central Lombok Regency. A qualitative descriptive design was employed. Informants were selected through purposive sampling and comprised the principal, class teachers, religious education teachers, education personnel, and selected students. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Trustworthiness was maintained through source and technique triangulation, prolonged engagement, persistent observation, and member checking. The findings show that social care values are internalized through teacher role modeling, habituation, integration into classroom learning, religious activities, communal work (gotong royong), routine almsgiving, orphan care programs, and consistent school culture. Supporting factors include the principal's instructional leadership, teacher commitment, a conducive school culture, parental support, and continuity of character programs. Inhibiting factors include excessive exposure to digital media, weak parental supervision, uneven student awareness, and limited time allocation for character education. The internalization process contributes positively to students' empathy, responsibility, cooperation, discipline, politeness, tolerance, and prosocial moral behavior. The study concludes that sustained collaboration among school, family, and community is essential to strengthen character education and recommends that elementary schools institutionalize experience-based character programs as an integral part of school culture.

Abstract

The comprehensive transformation of higher education infrastructure toward a digital ecosystem necessitates extensive institutional monitoring to safeguard academic pedagogical standards. This study delineates the structured implementation of a quantitative descriptive statistical model tailored to analyze empirical questionnaire datasets evaluating student satisfaction with e-learning accessibility. Employing a strict quantitative descriptive method, the operational framework compiled empirical tracking data derived from a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, which was administered to a simulation sample consisting of 10 active university students. The operationalized data analysis system strictly progressed through five interconnected, validation-oriented technical stages: editing, coding, tabulating, and deep computation of mathematical descriptors encompassing both central tendency parameters (mean, median, and mode) and precise metrics of statistical dispersion (standard deviation). The analytical results established that the general satisfaction index converged smoothly at a mean score of 4.0 (categorized systematically as "Satisfied"), which was robustly corroborated by a symmetrical median of 4.0 and a corresponding mode of 4.0. The standard deviation was calculated at a low threshold of 0.94, revealing a high level of perceptual homogeneity and a solid consensus among the student cohort regarding platform operational reliability. However, targeted exploratory diagnosis successfully unmasked critical 10% student dissatisfaction rate linked to intermittent baseline errors during peak traffic periods, emphasizing the urgent need for elastic server infrastructure optimization. This study demonstrates that fundamental descriptive statistics operate not merely as elementary tools, but as an indispensable initial diagnostic apparatus required for rigorous, data-driven institutional decision-making and quality assurance.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively delineate the mechanization of empirical data collection and processing techniques through a rigorous case illustration, specifically focusing on the development of a digital textbook in the form of a chemistry e-book integrated with the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach. Within the research and development (R&D) framework, methodological precision in extracting raw data into valid information frequently poses a crucial obstacle for novice researchers, particularly regarding interpretation bias. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach combined with simulation modeling, this article demonstrates the operational flow of product feasibility data sequentially through five interconnected technical stages: editing, coding, tabulating, analyzing, and visualizing. The operationalized data collection instruments encompass expert validation sheets (content and media specialists) alongside a 5-point Likert scale user readability response questionnaire. The simulation analysis results on test data indicate that the calculation of central tendency parameters (mean, median, and mode) alongside standard deviation precision metrics can objectively and transparently map the e-book's practicality and validity levels. The simulated data computation reveals that the average feasibility score for the STEAM aspect falls into the highly valid category, strongly supported by a low standard deviation value indicating a high consensus of expert perceptions. Through the deconstruction of this case illustration, descriptive statistics are proven to function not merely as mechanical calculation tools on paper, but as vital preliminary diagnostic instruments ensuring the academic accountability of developed teaching materials before their broad implementation in school-level chemistry education. Abstract

Abstract

Learning interest is one of the essential factors influencing the success of the learning process, particularly in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK). A high level of learning interest encourages students to participate actively in learning activities, enhances learning motivation, and supports the achievement of optimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the internal and external factors influencing the learning interest of Class X TKJ 1 students in PJOK learning at SMK Negeri 3 Selong. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach. The population consisted of 36 students of Class X TKJ 1 at SMK Negeri 3 Selong, while the sample comprised 26 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a Google Forms-based questionnaire developed according to indicators of internal and external factors affecting students' learning interest. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean scores, percentages, and category analysis. The findings revealed that students' learning interest in PJOK was in the high category. The most dominant internal factor was students' interest in sports activities, with a mean score of 4.50, while the most dominant external factor was the teacher's teaching method, particularly the teacher's ability to provide equal opportunities for all students to participate actively in the learning process, with a mean score of 4.62. These findings indicate that effective teaching methods, peer support, a conducive learning environment, and students' interest in sports activities play significant roles in enhancing students' learning interest in PJOK. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for teachers and schools in developing more effective, innovative, engaging, and student-centered learning strategies.
