Abstract

This study addresses students' lack of understanding regarding the ethics of using Generative AI (Gen AI) in academic activities. This guidebook serves as a response to the increasing integration of generative AI technology in education, which requires students to adopt AI technology and use it responsibly and ethically. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The research stages include content and technical needs analysis, content design and guidebook framework, development and limited trials with eight student representatives, validation of the guidebook's feasibility by experts and users, and dissemination of the guidebook to the target audience. The results show that experts consider this practical guidebook appropriate, with a Likert scale score of 3.6 for content, visuals, and technical aspects. The evaluation results show that 91.7% of students agree that this guidebook provides comprehensive information on the ethical use of Gen AI, and 66% of students agree that this book provides clear guidance for academic activities. This practical guidebook successfully addresses students' lack of understanding regarding the ethical use of Gen AI in academic activities. The student-centered approach is relevant, applicable, and potentially integrated into courses such as digital literacy or academic methodology. Further extensive testing and continued content development are recommended to align with technological updates for further research and broader implementation.

Abstract

This study was conducted at Teluk Penyu Beach, Cilacap Regency, with the aim of analyzing the composition, density, and primary sources of marine debris in the area. Sampling was carried out from October to November 2024 using a 5×5 m quadrat transect method along the shoreline, with a 20 m distance between transects. The results showed that a total of 2,021 debris pieces were collected, with the main composition consisting of wood debris (1,485 pieces; 62.80%), plastic (469 pieces; 19%), other materials (294 pieces; 14.58%), plastic foam (42 pieces; 2.60%), fabric (10 pieces; 1.12%), and rubber (7 pieces; 0.17%). The highest debris density was found in the wood category, with 12 pieces/m², followed by plastic (3.752 pieces/m²), plastic foam (0.336 pieces/m²), other materials (0.16 pieces/m²), fabric (0.133 pieces/m²), and rubber (0.14 pieces/m²). Based on the Clean-Coast Index (CCI) calculation, the beach cleanliness index score of 8 indicates that Teluk Penyu Beach falls into the "moderate" category. These findings suggest that the primary source of debris in the area originates from wood waste transported from Segara Anakan through the Nusakambangan Strait, as well as tourism and fishing activities. Sustainable coastal environmental management efforts are necessary to mitigate pollution impacts, including increasing public awareness and implementing ecosystem-based waste management strategies.

Abstract

Cikidang Fishing Port is one of the fishing ports that plays an important role in capture fisheries in Pangandaran, with drift gillnet as the main fishing gear. The high use of this tool encourages the analysis of the diversity and composition of the catch to assess fishery productivity and maintain resource sustainability. This study aimed to analyze the composition and diversity of drift gillnet catches landed at the PPI Cikidang Pangandaran. The methods used include the calculation of production amount and value, Catch Per Unit Effort, percentage of catch composition, and diversity index. The data analyzed were obtained from the Cikidang PPI statistical report during the 2019-2021 period. The results showed that white pomfret (Pampus argenteus) was the most dominant species in the catch, with an average contribution of 26.4% per year, whereas yellow mackerel (Selaroides leptolepis) had the least catch (only 0.62% per year). The catch diversity index showed a value of 2.77 in 2019, 2.19 in 2020, and 2.21 in 2021, which falls into the medium category. Habitat conservation efforts and increased awareness of fishermen are also needed so that fishery resources in the Cikidang Fishing Port remain sustainable and productive in the long term.
