Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to explore the belief that parents were able to perform or to manage tasks effectively related to parental involvement in educating elementary school children. 60 parents of elementary school children participated in this study, consisting of 20 fathers and 40 mothers. They were selected randomly from two public elementary schools and fulfilled informed consent showing they participated voluntarily in the study. The Parents Self Efficacy Scale which has been tested for validity and reliability administered to the parents. This self-report instrument, which consists of 68 questions asked parents to respond six aspects of the scale, namely the ability to parent children, communicate with the school/teacher, help children learn at home, become school volunteers, make decisions, and collaborate with the community. The results showed that parents have a high level of efficacy in all six aspects. However, among the six aspects, the higher level of parental self-efficacy was parenting children, communicating with the school/teacher, helping children learn at home. Abstract

Parental involvement had benefit for the education of elementary children. Yet, knowing parental efficacy was important factor to do such involvement. The purpose of this study was to design and examine a practical, valid, and reliable parental efficacy scale for measuring parents’ capabilities to involve in elementary education. A total of 402 parents of elementary children participated in this study, consisting of 114 fathers (28.36%) and 288 mothers (71.64%). They were selected randomly from 10 elementary schools and fulfilled informed consent showing they participated voluntarily in the study. A Parental Efficacy Scale which had been designed was tested for its practicality, validity and reliability. This self-report instrument asked parents to respond 67 items containing six aspects, namely their belief to be able parenting children, communicating with the school, helping children learn at home, becoming school volunteers, making decisions, and collaborating with community. The results showed that the scale fulfilled all of three requirements in all six aspects.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap pengembangan dan peningkatan keterampilan para guru BK dalam memberikan layanan konseling kepada siswa khususnya di era pendemi covid-19 ini khususnya keterampilan regulasi emosi. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dengan pemaparan materi kepada Guru BK. Untuk mengetahui tercapai tidaknya materi pelatihan yang disajikan, akan dilakukan evaluasi melalui aplikasi google form untuk mengetahui tentang tanggapan dari setiap peserta terhadap pelaksana pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Tim, apabila peserta telah menguasai 75% dari materi yang dipaparkan, maka materi tersebut berhasil dicermati. Hasil evaluasi yang diberikan oleh para guru BK terhadap materi pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 80 % peserta dapat memahami materi secara keseluruhan yang diberikan oleh tim pengabdian untuk meningkatkan keterampilan regulasi emosi Guru BK di Kota Palembang.

Abstract

Flipbook-based digital teaching materials for social-emotional learning courses for pre-service PPG students at FKIP UNSRI are still rare. This research aims to produce flipbook-based digital teaching materials for social-emotional learning courses for pre-service PPG students at FKIP Unsri. The development model used is the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analysis was carried out involving 11 PPG Pre-service students as research samples. The results of the teaching materials show that the resulting teaching materials have been validated with a media validation percentage value of 91.6% in the very good category, material validation of 95% in the very good category, and language validation of 91.6% in the very good category. The textbook assessment results for each indicator were 89.09 in the very good category. In this way, flipbook-based digital teaching materials for social-emotional learning courses for pre-service PPG students at FKIP Unsri have been successfully developed.

Abstract

Non-test instruments are fundamental in the implementation of student needs assessment. Without the right instruments, the assessment will not be able to be carried out and the implementation of guidance and counseling services will not be able to reach services that are by student needs. This requires counselors to be able to develop instruments that can measure the psychological condition of students which can be used as a reference for making programs and providing services for students. But in reality, counseling teachers are still confused, unable to make instruments, and limited to processing and analyzing the results of the instruments obtained so that the counseling program prepared later is by the needs of students.This training and mentoring activity aims to assist counselors in developing non-test instruments independently. This activity was carried out for 9 days for Palembang City Junior High School counselors who were organized in the Palembang City Junior High School MGBK. The implementation of this activity was carried out using discussion, brainstorming, practice, and assignment methods. This activity began with filling out pretests, providing material, practice, and assignments, analyzing data, interpreting data, and ending with filling out posttests. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis showed that the t-test significance value obtained was 0.001 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the skills of counseling teachers in preparing non-test instruments before and after attending the training. During the activity, counselors were enthusiastic and eager to participate in the training. The output of this training is a questionnaire that can be used in their respective schools to assess students' needs.

Abstract

Basic competencies that teachers of Guidance and Counseling should have is the ability to use and to operationalize the Guidance and Counseling media. This capability is required because in her/his activities, a teachers of Guidance and Counseling should be able to design, to use, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of media in counseling and guidance services. Therefore it is required for the training of making Guidance and Counseling media to help teachers Guidance and Counseling in providing services to learners. Based on the results of the training of Guidance and Counseling media using Microsoft Power Point, 80% of teachers of Guidance and Counseling has been able to make a power point slide about preventing drug abuse through task independent. Through this training, teachers of Guidance and Counseling are expected to be more aware and understand that the needs of the times are getting changing and evolving, so that competence of technology and information should be improved also.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat keefektifan model layanan konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama untuk meningkatkan self-efficacy diri siswa SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif yaitu yaitu Quasi Experiment. Untuk mengukur keefektifan model layanan konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama untuk meningkatkan self efficacy siswa kelas XI di SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang desain yang digunakan yaitu peneliti adalah pre-experimental: one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil Uji wilcoxon juga menunjukkan Model konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama yang dikembangkan efektif untuk meningkatkan self efficacy siswa sebesar 0,005, dikarenakan nilai 0,005 < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Ha diterima”. Artinya, terdapat perbedaan antara pretest-posttest, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pula bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode teknik psikodrama dalam konseling kelompok terhadap selfefficacy pada siswa SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. Disimpulkan bahwa model konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa SMA.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) to describe group guidance services and their implementation for high school students in Palembang City; and (2) produce a group guidance model based on the character values of the Palembang Darusalam sultanate figures for high school students in Palembang City. This study uses research and development (R & D) methods and designs with the following steps: (1) preliminary study and data collection; (2) research planning; (3) hypothetical model design; (4) validation of hypothetical models; (5)model revision; (6) final model. This study involved 2 guidance and counseling experts as expert validators and 5 guidance and counseling teachers as practitioner validators. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the conclusions of this study are: (1) Group guidance services for high school students in Palembang City are carried out discussing topics agreed upon when the implementation of group guidance has begun, and have not discussed the topic of the character values of Palembang figures, and (2) a group guidance model based on the character values of the Palembang Darussalam sultanate figures for high school students in thecity of Palembang. consists of 7 (seven) components, namely rationale, vision and mission, objectives, content of group counseling, support system, stages of group counseling, evaluation and follow-up.

Abstract

This study aims to identify aspects of self-regulated learning in the learning process of Guidance and Counseling students at Sriwijaya University. This research is a basic research and uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population of this study were Guidance andCounseling undergraduate students from the 2018-2021 Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. The sampling technique used in this study is a purposive sample or a purposive sample. The sample in this study was Guidance and Counseling Students Batch 2021 with a total of 89 students as respondents. The results of data analysis carried out showed that 89% of students were at a high SRL level and 11% at a moderate level, in the analysis of each aspect the cognitive and psychomotor aspects were in the high category while the affective aspects were in the medium category.
