Abstract

Lintasan belajar hipotetik menawarkan sebuah deskripsi dalam perencanaan pembalajaran matematika. Lintasan belajar hipotetik juga membanttu guru belajar dalam mengikuti dan menginterpretasi cara berpikir matematis siswa, juga menjadi alat bagi guru untuk mengembangkan kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lintasan belajar siswa kelas VII pada materi SPLSV di MTs Negeri 2 kerinci dengan menggunakan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) dan Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Design Research. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTsN 2 Kerinci, Kec. Air Hangat, Kab. Kerinci, Prov. Jambi. Subjek pada penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas VII D yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan lintasan belajar siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear satu variabel kelas VII di MTs Negeri 2 kerinci yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep sistem persamaan linear variabel selama proses pembelajaran, karena dapat dilihat bahwa dari seluruh siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan HLT dan LAS terdapat lebih dari setengah siswa mampu memahami konsep sistem persamaan linear satu variabel.

Abstract

Kemampuan penalaran matematis merupakan kemampuan siswa dalam bernalaran, baik dalam menganalisa sesuatu dan menarik kesimpulan secara logis. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan penelaran matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran (CIRC) Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) diterapkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian the one-group pretest-posttest. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas Xl IPA. Adapun hasil penelitian diketahui diketahui rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 28,53, yang artinya masih tergolong rendah, sedangkan hasil posttest sebesar 49,4 yang berarti tergolong sedang. Artinya terdapat peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran (CIRC) Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition, dimana kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa lebih baik dari setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran (CIRC) Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition bisa kita lihat dari hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test dari nilai sig. (2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 dimana kecil dari 0,05.

Abstract

Mathematics with the nuances of ethnomathematics culture at this time its presence makes a major contribution to the learning of mathematics. This research was conducted to find the elements of mathematics in the building of the grand mosque which is located in Tanjung Pauh Hilir, West Lake Kerinci sub-district, Kerinci district, Jambi province. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The data used are data obtained from observation, documentation and interviews. The results showed that the mathematical concepts in this mosque building contained geometrical materials such as ellipses, rhombuses, circles, semicircles, squares and rectangles while geometrical materials contained such as octagonal prisms, beams and pyramids and also transformations such as reflections. With the existence of ethnomathematics in this building it is hoped that it will be able to improve mathematical abilities, instill local wisdom values and also through observing mosque buildings in being able to explain that cultural elements can be used in learning mathematics.Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Building, Tanjung Pauh Grand Mosque.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan pelajaran yang diajarkandi seluruh jenjang pendidikan. Matematika juga di anggap siswa pelajaran yang cukup sulit di pahami. Oleh karena itu, perlu di adakan bimbingan belajar agar siswa yang kesulitan belajar matematika dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan materi.Metode yangdi gunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu pendampingan belajar secara rutin dan ceramah. Tujuan kegiatan pendampingan belajar ini dilakukan agar siswa dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika sehingga siswa tidak mengalami kesulitan lagi saat memahami dan mengerjakan soal. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan belajar yang telah dilaksanakan adalah siswa sudah mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan baik terkait materi yang diajarkan

Abstract

This study aims to explore the cognitive skills of prospective mathematics teacher students in solving open-ended mathematical problems based on Bloom's taxonomy. Open-ended problems allow students to use various solution approaches, thereby requiring higher-order thinking skills. The study was conducted at IAIN Kerinci using a qualitative case study approach. The subjects consisted of 28 students from the Mathematics Education Study Program, with 6 selected for in-depth interviews. Data were collected through open-ended mathematical problem tests and interviews.The validity and reliability of the instruments were established through expert judgment and initial trials. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, which involved data reduction, coding according to cognitive levels, theme categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the majority of students operated at lower cognitive levels, specifically (C1, C2, C3), with only a small number reaching higher levels such as (C4, C5, C6). Most students relied on procedural strategies based on memorization, with only a few demonstrating varied and exploratory strategies. This study indicates that students' higher-order thinking skills still need to be improved through learning approaches that encourage exploration, reflection, and open-ended problem solving. This study emphasizes the importance of developing mathematics education curricula and training prospective teachers, emphasizing the need for pedagogical interventions specifically designed to encourage the transition of cognitive skills from lower levels (C1-C2) to higher levels (C4-C6), so that prospective teachers are ready to facilitate critical thinking in their future classrooms.

Abstract

The ability to write scientific articles is an essential competence for university students, yet many still encounter difficulties due to limited research experience and theory-oriented instructional approaches. This study aims to examine the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in the Research and Scientific Publication course and its role in facilitating the production of students’ scientific articles. Using a qualitative case study design, the research involved 17 sixth-semester students of the Mathematics Education Department at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kerinci. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of students’ scientific articles, and analyzed using an interactive model of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that PjBL was generally implemented effectively, particularly in the stages of problem orientation and article writing, while project planning, data collection, and reflection were implemented at a moderate level. Most students perceived PjBL as a meaningful and authentic learning experience that enhanced their understanding of research processes and scientific article structure. Furthermore, the majority of students were able to produce complete IMRaD-structured articles with adequate to good quality. These results suggest that PjBL is a promising instructional approach for improving students’ scientific writing skills in higher education
