Abstract

This era of globalization is a digital era where almost everyone can use smartphones and the internet to make their daily lives easier. The era of digital development was also followed by the rapid development of information technology, one of information technology is social media. this research is a quantitative research with correlation research design. The population of this study were students of the Teaching and Education Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Palopo. The sample in this study was 171 people who were selected using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of having Instagram accounts and active Instagram users. The measuring instrument used in this research is the tendency to use Instagram by using the Del Bario scale, whereas sensation seeking uses the sensation-seeking scale form v, and loneliness is measured by using the UCLA Loneliness scale version 3. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques with the assistance of SPSS 20 program for windows. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between emotional loneliness and the tendency to use Instagram (p value = 0.001 0.05) is in the weak category and the direction of positive correlation. Sensation seeking also has a relationship with the tendency to use Instagram (p value = 0.000 0.05) is in the weak category and the direction of a positive correlation, which means that the higher the level of emotional loneliness, the higher the tendency to use Instagram in adolescents, as well as sensation seeking, which means that the higher the level of sensation seeking, the higher the level of tendency to use Instagram in adolescents. Thus it can be concluded that the two variables, which are emotional loneliness (X1) and sensation seeking (X2) have a relationship with the tendency to use Instagram (Y).

Abstract

Pendidikan yang berkualitas tidak hanya bergantung pada kurikulum yang baik, tetapi juga pada dukungan yang diberikan kepada siswa, salah satunya melalui layanan bimbingan belajar. Hubungan antara layanan bimbingan belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa menjadi semakin penting, mengingat peran motivasi dalam mencapai hasil belajar yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara layanan bimbingan belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 11 LUWU. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain analisis deskriptif korelasional, teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 120  siswa kelas X dan XI dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 83 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala likert.  Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket dan dianalisis dengan SPSS 25.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa berada pada tingkat yang tinggi. Analisis korelasi Pearson mengungkapkan hubungan positif yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara layanan bimbingan belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa (r = 0,932, p < 0,05). Temuan ini pentingnya layanan bimbingan belajar sebagai instrumen kunci dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini mendukung investasi berkelanjutan dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan kualitas layanan bimbingan belajar di sekolah sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan potensi keberhasilan akademik siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku membolos siswa, faktor yang mempengaruhinya, dan strategi penanganan yang dilakukan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling (BK) di SMAN 9 Luwu Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan tahap reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dua siswa sering terlambat dan tidak mengikuti mata pelajaran pertama akibat kurangnya kontrol diri dan pengaruh negatif teman sebaya. Selain itu, kurangnya pengawasan orang tua juga berperan penting. Guru BK menerapkan teknik kontrak perilaku dalam pendekatan behavioristik sebagai strategi penanganan. Intervensi ini berhasil mengurangi frekuensi membolos, yang dibuktikan dengan peningkatan kehadiran dan prestasi siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik kontrak perilaku efektif dan dapat diadaptasi di sekolah lain untuk menangani perilaku serupa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan Instagram dan perilaku Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) pada remaja. Fokus penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Palopo yang aktif menggunakan Instagram minimal satu jam per hari. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 428 siswa, dengan sampel 107 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kriteria pemilihan ini berpotensi menimbulkan bias dan dapat mempengaruhi generalisasi hasil, namun relevan untuk memahami pola penggunaan Instagram yang tinggi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Instrumen penelitian mencakup skala intensitas penggunaan Instagram, relatedness, dan FoMO, yang dikembangkan menggunakan skala Likert. Reliabilitas dan validitas instrumen telah diuji dengan Cronbach's Alpha > 0,7 dan validitas menggunakan Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas penggunaan Instagram berpengaruh signifikan terhadap FoMO (p < 0,05), sementara relatedness tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan (p > 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa FoMO dipicu lebih oleh interaksi dan perbandingan sosial yang terjadi di Instagram daripada kebutuhan keterikatan sosial (relatedness). Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa variabel penggunaan Instagram dan relatedness secara simultan berkontribusi sebesar 23,1% terhadap FoMO, menyiratkan adanya faktor lain di luar penelitian ini yang mempengaruhi fenomena tersebut. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai dampak psikologis penggunaan media sosial dan menyarankan orang tua serta institusi pendidikan untuk membantu remaja dalam mengurangi dampak negatif dari FoMO. Implikasi praktisnya termasuk edukasi mengenai keseimbangan penggunaan media sosial dan peningkatan kesadaran tentang risiko perbandingan sosial. Temuan ini terutama relevan untuk platform seperti Instagram, namun keterbatasan penelitian ini terkait generalisasi terhadap platform media sosial lain perlu diperhatikan dalam studi lanjutan.

Abstract

Declining student self-confidence is still a significant problem in the educational landscape, affecting academic achievement, social interaction, and psychological well-being. This study investigates the effectiveness of assertive training as a transformative intervention to increase self-confidence among students at SMAN 2 Palopo. The study, employing a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, focused on 30 students specifically selected for their low self-confidence. The study used observation, a self-confidence scale, and assertive quizzes as data collection methods. Statistical analysis using paired t-tests revealed a significant increase in post-training confidence (p < 0.001), with 53.3% of students categorized as having high self-confidence and 26.7% very high. These results underscore the capacity of assertive training to change students' self-perception and improve assertive communication skills. The study concluded that integrating assertive training into school counseling programs can sustainably foster students' psychological and social development. We suggest future research to explore the long-term effects and adapt the intervention into diverse educational contexts. ____________________________________________________________________Penurunan self confidence siswa masih menjadi masalah yang signifikan dalam lanskap pendidikan, yang memengaruhi prestasi akademik, interaksi sosial, dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, skala self confidence, dan kuis asertif. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji-t berpasangan mengungkapkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam rasa percaya diri pasca pelatihan (p < 0,001), dengan 53,3% siswa dikategorikan memiliki rasa percaya diri yang tinggi dan 26,7% sangat tinggi. Hasil ini menggarisbawahi kapasitas pelatihan asertif untuk mengubah persepsi diri siswa dan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi asertif. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa mengintegrasikan pelatihan asertif ke dalam program konseling sekolah dapat secara berkelanjutan membina perkembangan psikologis dan sosial siswa. Penelitian di masa mendatang disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi efek jangka panjang dan mengadaptasi intervensi ke dalam konteks pendidikan yang beragam.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of a behavioral approach using behavior contract techniques and self-management on the consumptive behavior of students at Muhammadiyah University Palopo. High consumer behavior among students is often influenced by various factors, including a lack of financial awareness and self-management. In this study, a behavioral approach is used to design interventions in the form of behavior contracts and self-management techniques as methods to reduce uncontrolled consumer behavior. The research method applied is an experiment with a Pre Experimental Design approach. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring the frequency and intensity of consumptive behavior before and after the intervention. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of behavioral contracts and self-management techniques has a significant impact on reducing students consumptive behavior. The decline is indicated by a positive change in students spending patterns. These findings suggest that a behavioral approach, which includes behavior contracts and self-management, is effective in helping students manage their consumer behavior. This can be applied as an intervention strategy in educational settings to promote better financial literacy and self-management.

Abstract

The purpose this study was to determine cooperation system between the boss and the fishermen and the implementation of the sharing of fish catches carried out by the boss to the fishermen and the increase in fishermen's income in Camplong. The research approach with qualitative research and descriptive analysis and data collection using the interview method. The results of the study showed that the implementation of profit sharing for fishermen in Camplong carried out a cooperation agreement between the boat owner and the worker in. The implementation of the profit sharing separately, is none other than using an agreement that has been determined by Islamic law. Meanwhile, the increase in fishermen's income is also supported by side businesses carried out by fishermen's wives who also work by developing household industries such as fish drying, fish processing, fish smoking, and other types of micro businesses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of brainstorming techniques in group guidance services on student learning motivation at SMP Negeri 4 Palopo. The background comes from the low motivation of students to learn which can be seen from the lack of participation in the learning process, lack of interest in the subject matter, and the tendency to be passive in the classroom. Through participatory approaches such as brainstorming, students are given the space to express their ideas, opinions and experiences freely without fear of being judged, which is expected to increase their enthusiasm and engagement in learning. This study used a quantitative method with a one group pretest-posttest quasi experimental design. A sample of 20 students was purposively selected based on the level of motivation which was classified as low to moderate. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed with the Paired Sample T-Test test through the SPSS program. The results showed a significant increase in student learning motivation after being given the treatment, with an average pretest score of 41 which increased to 51.35 in the posttest, and a significance value of 0.000. These results prove that the brainstorming technique is effective in increasing students' learning motivation and can be an alternative group guidance service strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the psychosomatic symptoms experienced by tahfidz students at Pesantren Nizamuddin Palopo and analyze the factors and implications for the learning process in pesantren education. Tahfidz students face high cognitive and emotional loads in the process of memorizing the Qur'an, which can trigger psychosomatic symptoms such as migraines, sleep disorders and other physical complaints without clear medical causes. This study used a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach.  The informants in the study were 5 female students of tahfidz Nizamuddin Palopo. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that there were tahfidz students who experienced psychosomatic symptoms related to the pressure of memorizing the Al-Qu'an, stress and anxiety as well as negative feelings and thoughts. The psychosomatic symptoms experienced by tahfidz students are symptoms in the head and gastrointestinal parts, symptoms of fatigue and sleep disturbances and symptoms in the chest and frequency changes. The novelty of this research is that it focuses on tahfidz students, which is a group involved in memorizing the Al-Qur'an. The findings show the importance of integrating a psychopedagogical approach in the tahfidz curriculum and coaching students, in order to create a healthy and sustainable learning environment. This research contributes to the development of a more holistic education, by considering mental health aspects as an integral part of the Islamic education process.
