Abstract

Turmeric is a type of rhizome that contains secondary metabolites that have antioxidant activity. Generally, turmeric is processed into spices or as raw material for herbal medicine such as tamarind turmeric herbal medicine. This activity aims to introduce the community in Kalitengah Tanggulangin Village, Sidoarjo, to processing tamarind turmeric granules as a natural antioxidant, involving PKK women from Kalitengah village. Activities The method used during the service process uses a participatory approach consisting of observation, training and evaluation. Questionnaires were given to 49 PKK women respondents. The pretest was carried out before the training was carried out, and continued with a post-test after the respondents received the training and tried instant turmeric powder for themselves. Evaluation results based on respondents' answers to the questionnaire given showed an increase in knowledge related to tamarind turmeric by 100%, knowledge of the benefits of turmeric by 81.6%, knowledge about granules by 81.6% and readiness to take part in training increased by 98%. These results show that this training had a positive impact on PKK mothers in Kalitengah village, Sidoarjo

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk membuat sabun cuci piring yang ramah lingkungan dari ekstrak jeruk nipis adalah upaya untuk mengubah cara kita mengonsumsi sesuatu, melindungi lingkungan, dan meningkatkan ekonomi kita, bukan sekadar pengabdian. Cemaran yang terkandung dalam produk berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia. Dalam kegiatan ini, demonstrasi digunakan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran warga Desa Pepelegi, Sidoarjo, tentang bahaya bahan kimia. Perencanaan, pelaksanaan, elaborasi, dan kesimpulan adalah semua bagian dari proses. Masyarakat dapat menggunakan tahapan ini sebagai panduan dalam penyuluhan pembuatan sabun cuci piring. Secara keseluruhan, program ini menguntungkan, mengurangi gap wirausaha dan meningkatkan kemandirian finansial, terutama bagi ibu-ibu Desa Pepelegi, Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Workshop pengenalan dini tenaga teknis kefarmasian dan apoteker di TK Asy Syarif Mojokerto dilaksanakan dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman awal mengenai profesi kefarmasian kepada anak usia dini secara edukatif dan interaktif. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 21 peserta didik usia 4–6 tahun dan guru pendamping, menggunakan metode pembelajaran bermain sambil belajar, media alat peraga, serta simulasi peran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi yang tinggi serta kemampuan anak dalam mengenali peran apoteker dan pentingnya penggunaan obat yang tepat. Workshop ini tidak hanya memperluas wawasan anak mengenai dunia kefarmasian, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai positif tentang kesehatan dan menumbuhkan ketertarikan terhadap profesi di bidang kesehatan sejak usia dini. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, sebanyak 90% siswa (19 dari 21) menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dengan partisipasi aktif dalam sesi tanya jawab dan simulasi peran. Selain itu, 85% siswa (18 dari 21) berhasil mengidentifikasi fungsi apoteker sebagai tenaga yang memberikan obat dan membantu menjaga kesehatan masyarakat. Dari tes pemahaman, 80% siswa (17 dari 21) mampu menjawab dengan benar pertanyaan terkait cara mencuci tangan yang benar dan pentingnya obat dalam menjaga kesehatan. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter dan pembentukan aspirasi karier anak pada tahap awal perkembangan.

Abstract

Pelatihan dengan tema pembuatan eco enzyme yang dilaksanakan di RT 02, RW 04, Desa Pepelegi, Waru, Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pengelolaan lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini disusun sebagai upaya edukatif untuk mengenalkan konsep pemanfaatan limbah organik rumah tangga melalui proses fermentasi menjadi eco enzyme, yaitu cairan serbaguna yang memiliki fungsi sebagai pembersih alami, pengurai bau, serta sebagai salah satu bahan pendukung dalam peningkatan kualitas lingkungan. Peserta mendapatkan penjelasan mengenai jenis limbah organik yang dapat digunakan, tahapan pembuatan eco enzyme, manfaat ekologisnya, serta potensi pengembangan produk ini sebagai solusi alternatif dalam pengurangan volume sampah organik. Metode penyampaian dilakukan melalui pemaparan materi, demonstrasi langsung, dan diskusi interaktif, sehingga peserta dapat memahami konsep sekaligus mempraktikkan proses pembuatannya secara mandiri. Kegiatan pelatihan memberikan dampak positif yang ditunjukkan melalui hasil evaluasi tingkat kepuasan peserta. Indikator kepuasan yang diperoleh sebesar 0,97, melampaui batas minimal indikator sebesar 0,80. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa materi, metode penyampaian, dan manfaat kegiatan dianggap sangat relevan dan bermanfaat oleh masyarakat. Selain itu, pelatihan ini mampu mendorong perubahan pola pikir masyarakat dalam mengelola limbah rumah tangga, dari sebelumnya hanya dibuang menjadi bahan yang dapat diolah kembali dan memberikan nilai tambah bagi lingkungan. Secara keseluruhan, program ini dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi lingkungan dan memperkuat praktik pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan di Desa Pepelegi.

Abstract

 Pharmaceutical services are health services that have an important role in realizing health quality. Pharmaceutical services apart from being a 2 demand for professionalism such as a factor that attracts consumers' interest in purchasing drugs at pharmacies in order to obtain patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at the Empunala Drug store and to improve the quality of pharmaceutical services at the Empunala Drug store. This Research is descriptive non-experimental with incidental sampling, data collection using a questionnaire. The results of the study on the level of patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at the Empunala Drug store period March until May 2023 concluded on the Reliability dimension is 76%, the Responsiveness dimension is 78%, the Assurance dimension is 78%, the Emphaty dimension is 77%, and the Tangible dimension is 80%.

Abstract

Diarrhea is one of the common health problems in toddlers and is often treated through self-medication by the community. Choosing the right medicine is very important to avoid complications, considering the low immune system of toddlers and the potential risks of using drugs without a doctor's prescription. This study used a qualitative descriptive design, the study was conducted at the "X" Pharmacy, Sidoarjo District, Sidoarjo Regency from January to March 2025. The sample consisted of 90 parents/caregivers of toddlers who bought diarrhea medicine for their children and met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that the types of drugs most often chosen for self-medication for diarrhea in toddlers were probiotics (46%), zinc supplements (41%), oralit (11%), and a combination of kaolin-pectin (2%). The characteristics of the respondents were mostly aged 20-25 years and had a high school or diploma education level. The choice of diarrhea medicine in self-medication in toddlers was dominated by the use of probiotics and zinc, in accordance with the recommendations of the Indonesian Ministry of Health in handling diarrhea. However, there is still a need to improve education to the public regarding the rational use of drugs and clinical indications for giving antibiotics. An active role is needed for health workers, especially pharmacists, in providing accurate information to the public to prevent the negative impacts of inappropriate self-medication.

Abstract

Gastritis is represent disease known in everyday life. Gastritis is often marked with painful in heart of queasy, vomiting, full satiety, stomach painful and etc. Soft drink one of the causes of stomach disorders because it has acid and caffeine. This research aims to knowing relation consume soft drink with incidence of gastritis at adolescent in Village South of Lemper District of Pademawu Regency of Pamekasan. Design of this research is case study with the technique of purposive sampling. Samples used totaled 89 adolescent men and women aged 12-18 years. Results of chi-square test show p-value=0.000 (p<0.05), have been got that relation consume soft drink with incidence of gastritis at adolescent in Village South of Lemper District of Pademawu Regency of Pamekasan. Shall all adolescent and society its participate actively to healthy live with consuming nutritious food and drink to prevent incidence of diseases such as gastritis.

Abstract

Pharmaceutical service is direct and responsible service to patients related to pharmaceutical preparations to improve the quality of life of the patients. One of the health service facilities is the hospital. Hospitals are required to provide quality services for the creation of a satisfaction. Satisfaction is closely related to the expected service and the reality of service that has been given. Therefore it is necessary to measure patient satisfaction to see how far the services provided in accordance with the expectations of patients. The research is using deskriptif prospektif metode and using purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted in February 2020, by giving a questionnaire to the visiting patients and having receivedpharmaceutical services at the "x" hospital in Sidoarjo. Able to communicated well, used Indonesian, willing to be interviewed with the provisions of 18 years old, 19-45 years old and ≥46 years old. The perception of patients satisfied about the tangible of 72%, emphaty indicator of 66% with satisfied categories, and reability indicator of 67% with satisfied categories so the average percentage of overall out patient BPJS satisfaied. The conclusion of this research is that the services provided in the installation of the "x" pharmacy to patients are categorized as well.
