Abstract

Rendahnya kualitas pelayanan publik menjadi isu krusial di instansi pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung dari budaya organisasi terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik, dengan menguji peran profesionalisme sebagai variabel mediasi di Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil (Dukcapil) Kabupaten Merangin. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) diterapkan pada sampel 100 masyarakat yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa budaya organisasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap profesionalisme serta kualitas pelayanan publik. Profesionalisme juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas pelayanan. Temuan utama menegaskan bahwa profesionalisme berperan sebagai variabel mediasi parsial yang signifikan dalam menjelaskan hubungan antara budaya organisasi dan kualitas pelayanan publik.

Abstract

Road infrastructure problems usually occur in rural areas. Damage to road shoulders, road facilities, and potholes that grow larger over time due to increasing mobility every year is one of the issues that needs to be addressed by local governments, especially in rural areas. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the strategies, obstacles, and solutions implemented by the village government in maintaining road infrastructure in Purwodadi Village, Tebing Tinggi District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. This study uses a qualitative research design with a descriptive analysis approach. The data used are from primary and secondary sources, with informants selected using purposive sampling. There were 11 informants in this study, consisting of the village head, village secretary, village officials, and hamlet heads. The results of the study show several strategies used by the village government in road infrastructure maintenance, namely coordination, consistency, synchronization, prioritization and priority scale, community participation, and problem solving. The obstacles faced were the lack of responsiveness from the regional government, limited village funds and vast territory, lack of human resources, and road locations with peat soil. The solutions used are to always be consistent, use PADesa, continue education, and interact with experts and the village community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation, work discipline, and motivation on employee work productivity at the Jambi Province Food Security Service. The background of this study is based on the importance of productive human resources, where adequate compensation, high work discipline, and strong motivation are believed to be the main factors in increasing employee productivity. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to all civil servants of the Jambi Province Food Security Service. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to determine the simultaneous and partial effects of the three independent variables on work productivity. The results of the study indicate that compensation, work discipline, and motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity simultaneously (F). This study confirms that increasing compensation, enforcing work discipline, and strengthening work motivation are very important to encourage employee productivity in government agencies. This study is expected to be a reference for the Jambi Province Food Security Service in formulating policies that support improving employee performance in order to achieve organizational goals optimally.
