Abstract

Masa balita, yang dikenal sebagai golden age, merupakan periode penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan manusia yang berlangsung sangat pesat. Pada masa ini, anak mengalami kemajuan dalam aspek berpikir, berbicara, fungsi pancaindra, dan kemampuan motorik. Program Bergenerang (Bergerak Wujudkan Generasi Sehat Bebas Gizi Kurang) dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran orang tua mengenai pentingnya gizi seimbang di Desa Ujong Tanoh Darat. Metode pengabdian yang diterapkan melibatkan edukasi kesehatan tentang gizi seimbang dan gizi kurang melalui pemberian materi dalam bentuk leaflet, demonstrasi bento sebagai contoh menu gizi seimbang, serta sesi konseling langsung dengan orang tua. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan perubahan perilaku orang tua dalam menyediakan asupan bergizi bagi balita. Dampaknya terlihat dari peningkatan berat badan dan tinggi badan pada balita yang mengikuti program. Selain itu, rendahnya pengetahuan tentang gizi, keterbatasan ekonomi, serta kurangnya imunisasi selama pandemi diidentifikasi sebagai penyebab utama kasus gizi kurang di desa ini. Program ini menunjukkan efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kesadaran gizi dan mendorong perubahan positif pada orang tua demi mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan optimal balita.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sering terjadi pada remaja, terutama remaja putri. Salah satu penyebab utama anemia adalah kekurangan zat besi, yang dapat memengaruhi kesehatan fisik, perkembangan mental, dan prestasi akademik remaja. Pemberian Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) menjadi salah satu solusi efektif untuk mencegah dan mengatasi anemia pada kelompok ini. Namun, rendahnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya konsumsi TTD masih menjadi kendala di kalangan remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang pentingnya pemberian TTD kepada siswa di SMKN 1 Meureubo, serta meningkatkan pemahaman mereka mengenai pencegahan anemia melalui pola makan sehat dan konsumsi zat besi yang cukup. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, diskusi kelompok, dan pembagian materi edukasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan siswa mengenai pentingnya TTD, manfaat zat besi, dan cara mencegah anemia. Edukasi ini diharapkan dapat memotivasi siswa untuk lebih peduli terhadap kesehatan mereka, khususnya dalam mencegah anemia. Program ini juga merekomendasikan perlunya dukungan dari pihak sekolah dan tenaga kesehatan untuk keberlanjutan edukasi dan distribusi TTD secara rutin.

Abstract

Masalah gizi di Indonesia, seperti stunting, wasting, dan underweight, masih menjadi tantangan besar dalam mencapai target kesehatan nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penyuluhan gizi menggunakan leaflet dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita di Desa Lapang, Aceh Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penyuluhan dilakukan melalui sesi edukasi langsung dengan materi leaflet yang sederhana dan mudah dipahami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan ibu balita tentang gizi seimbang, meskipun dampaknya terhadap berat badan anak bervariasi. Program ini memiliki potensi untuk diterapkan di wilayah lain dengan penyesuaian kebutuhan lokal. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya pendekatan tambahan berbasis komunitas untuk mendukung perubahan perilaku yang berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan gizi anak balita.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan generasi penerus bangsa terutama pada remaja putri. Keadaan gizi pada remaja putri dapat berpengaruh terhadap kehamilannya kelak, juga terhadap bayi yang akan dilahirkannya. Salah satu masalah gizi yang paling sering dijumpai pada remaja adalah anemia. Masalah gizi remaja perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus karena berpengaruh terhadap masalah gizi dewasa. Tetapi, masih kurangnya akses, sosialisasi dan edukasi tentang pencegahan anemia sehingga banyak remaja yang belum memiliki kesadaran akan pentingnya pencegahan anemia. Pengabmas ini menggunakan metode peer education dan edutainment yang dilakukan melalui tiga tahap pelaksanaan yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan peer educator dan edukasi teman sebaya. Hasil yang dicapai yaitu pertama, setelah pelatihan peer educator terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 43,6%, sikap 13,7%, dan keterampilan remaja 80% yang merupakan kategori baik, kedua terbentuknya modul bagi peer educator sebagai panduan dalam mengedukasi teman sebayanya. Ketiga, terbentuknya Peer Educator Reksimia di sekolah dan dibuktikan dengan SK pembentukan tim dari kepala sekolah. Melalui Peer Educator Reksimia dan kerjasama dengan pihak terintegrasi, maka akan mendukung potensi keberlanjutan program Reksimia kepada sekolah yang lain. Sehingga mampu mendukung upaya pemerintah dalam mengurangi angka prevalensi anemia dan mendukung poin ke 3 dalam SDGs terkait kehidupan sehat dan sejahtera.

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the relationship between stunting and completeness of immunization among children under five years old in Indonesia. The study used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data from the Indonesian Family Life Study (IFLS) V big data in 2014. The sample consisted of children aged 12-59 months from 13 provinces in Indonesia, representing 83% of the total population. Data were analyzed using SPSS and STATA programs. Statistical analysis was performed to determine the association between immunization status and stunting. The results showed a significant statistical relationship (p-value <0.05) between immunization status and stunting occurrence among children aged 12-59 months in Indonesia, with a p-value of 0.001 and a PR value of 1.2 (95% CI: 1.14-1.6). Children who receive incomplete immunization have a 1.2 times greater risk of stunting compared to those who receive complete immunization. The study concluded that completeness of immunization is associated with stunting among children under five years old in Indonesia. Therefore, it is essential to ensure complete immunization coverage to prevent stunting in this population.

Abstract

The proportion of cases of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in the region of West Aceh is still quite high especially in the two Health Center/Puskesmas in the City of Meulaboh namely Suakribe and Meureubo in 2021 on average 83% to 84% in 2022. The risk factors for DM in Aceh, based on the initial survey, are mostly due to dietary factors, such as inadequate local food processing that puts DM at risk. The purpose of the dedication is to enhance the skills of posyandu lansia groups in processing local food for prevention of diabetes. Implementation method with training processing of local food products, such as mie and cookies based on sunti aceh, taro, corn, carrots, and potatoes to 13 posyandu lansia group of 7 cadre/kader and 6 old man/lansia. The result was an increase in knowledge and skills of cadre and old man with P Value ≤ α = 0.05 in terms of local food processing for prevention of diabetes (processing mie and cookies). The conclusion of the training is able to enhance the knowledge and skills of respondents in terms of local food processing for prevention of diabetes. Recommendations Local food training is very well done to communities specialized in member of posyandu (cadre/kader and old man/lansia) in an effort to increase independence in processing local foods that can prevent diabetes.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach carried out at the Johan Pahlawan Community Health Center with a sample size of 86 respondents. A total of 26 (30.2%) respondents with more or less knowledge had high cholesterol, while 9 respondents (10.5%) with normal cholesterol levels had good knowledge. This value means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. As many as 33 (38.4%) respondents with more or less eating patterns had high cholesterol, while 10 respondents (11.6%) with normal cholesterol levels had good eating patterns. This value means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Shows a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and cholesterol levels. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test show a p-value of 0.010 (α < 0.05). shows a significant relationship between diet and cholesterol levels, with a p-value of 0.012 (α < 0.05).

Abstract

The significance of living in today's world as a moral, healthy member of generation Z. The digital era, which is characterised by easy access to information and cutting-edge technology, is the environment in which Generation Z develops and evolves. The purpose of the initiative is to assist generation Z in overcoming difficulties brought on by low moral risk, a lack of health awareness, and a lack of work-related drive. The method used in a campaign to teach schoolgirl students in generation Z healthy and moral behaviour through lectures looks up. Results indicate which female students learn more about developing moral and healthy behaviours and about expanding comprehension to lessen the possibility of being subjected to associations and media that have unfavourable effects on their morals and health. The conclusion of concurrent campaigns can assist generation Z in defending themselves against the damaging influence of associations and media that affect their morals and physical well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and sodium intake and the incidence of hypertension in the Meureubo Community Health Center (UPT) work area. This study used a descriptive analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all hypertension patients visiting the General Clinic of the Meureubo Community Health Center (UPT Puskesmas) (N=1,191), with a sample of 92 respondents selected using accidental sampling. The research instruments included a knowledge questionnaire, a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) to measure sodium intake, and an observation sheet. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of α=0.05. The results showed a significant relationship between knowledge level and the incidence of hypertension (p-value = 0.016), as well as a significant relationship between sodium intake and the incidence of hypertension (p-value = 0.014). This suggests that respondents with low knowledge and high sodium intake are at greater risk of developing hypertension. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and sodium intake and the incidence of hypertension in the Meureubo Community Health Center (UPT Puskesmas) work area. It is recommended that the Community Health Center increase educational activities related to healthy living behavior and limiting sodium consumption to prevent and control hypertension.

Abstract

Nutritional status plays an important role in children's growth and development, including cognitive function. However, intellectual intelligence in school-age children is influenced by various biological and environmental factors. This study aims to examine the relationship between nutritional status and intellectual intelligence in school-age children at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 11 Aceh Barat. This study uses an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of all sixth-grade students at MIN 11 Aceh Barat, with a total of 104 respondents selected using total sampling technique. Nutritional status was assessed using the Body Mass Index for Age (BMI/A) indicator, while intellectual intelligence was measured using the Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT) Scale 2A. The results showed that most respondents had normal nutritional status (65.4%) and moderate (60.6%) and high intellectual intelligence ((27.9%). The results of Chi Square Test showed that there was no significant relationship between nutritional status and intellectual intelligence in school-age children (p = 0.715). Therefore, efforts to improve children's intellectual intelligence need to be carried out comprehensively through a multidimensional approach integrating aspects of nutrition, education, and the environment.
