Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of domino card learning media on students' learning outcomes in the material on the structure and function of plants for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 101928 Rantau Panjang. Additionally, it seeks to compare the learning outcomes between students in an experimental class and a control class at SD Negeri 101961 Timbang Deli. This research employs a quasi-experimental quantitative approach, utilizing pretest and posttest assessments. Two classes, each consisting of 20 students, were involved: one as the experimental group, which used domino card learning media, and the other as the control group, which did not. The results show that the experimental group achieved higher scores, with an average of 92, compared to the control group, which averaged 88. These findings indicate a significant impact of domino card learning media on improving students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model on science learning outcomes for Theme 7, Subtheme 1 "Diversity of Ethnicities and Religions in My Country" in Grade IV of SD Negeri 101932 Perbaungan during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research is motivated by the low science learning outcomes due to insufficient student engagement and the over-reliance on monotonous teaching methods. A quantitative approach was applied using a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 40 students selected through total sampling. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, normality and homogeneity tests, as well as hypothesis testing through the t-test. The findings revealed that the average pretest score was 40, while the posttest average was 86.95. The t-test results indicated a significance value of sig < 0.05 (0.00 < 0.05), confirming a significant impact of the RADEC model on students' science learning outcomes. In conclusion, the RADEC learning model significantly enhances science learning outcomes, particularly in the study of ethnic and religious diversity in Grade IV at SD Negeri 101932 Perbaungan.

Abstract

This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, aiming to uncover the reality of the influence of school facilities and infrastructure on enhancing the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Negeri 104202 Bandar Setia, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The research subjects consisted of 30 fifth-grade students, and the study was conducted over six sessions. The benchmarks in this research include the availability of standard educational facilities such as classrooms, sports areas, worship spaces, libraries, laboratories, playgrounds, and other learning resources that support the learning process, including the use of information and communication technology. Hypothesis testing results show that the calculated r-value (rtcount) = 0.484 is greater than the r-value from the r-distribution table (rtable) = 0.361 with a 5% significance level (rttable < rcount). This indicates that H1 is accepted, confirming a significant influence of school facilities and infrastructure on increasing the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at the mentioned school.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of low learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SDN 106155 Tandem Hilir 1, as reflected in the first semester's daily tests, where only 40% of students met the criteria for passing. The low performance, particularly in social studies, was attributed to teacher-centered instruction and limited use of diverse teaching methods. The research aimed to improve these learning outcomes by implementing the card sort method. Utilizing a classroom action research (CAR) design, the study involved 25 fifth-grade students and was conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, student outcome tests, and documentation and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The findings revealed that the application of the card sort method significantly improved student performance, with an increase in the average completion rate from 52% (average score 46.6) in cycle I to 88.8% (average score 80) in cycle II, marking a 36.8% improvement. The study concludes that the card sort method effectively enhances social studies learning outcomes in the target class.

Abstract

The influence of the demonstration method on students' learning motivation in fifth grade elementary school mathematics subjects. This research is motivated by the researcher's hypothesis which suspects the influence of the demonstration method on student learning motivation. The aim of this research is to find out how much influence the demonstration method has on student learning motivation. This research was carried out at SDN 105305 Mardinding Julu. The method used is a survey method using a questionnaire. The sample used in this research was 35 students. The instrument given was a questionnaire with a demonstration method statement of 14 statements. Learning motivation instrument 21 statements. Data analysis uses simple regression and coefficient of determination. The results of the hypothesis test in determining the regression equation, obtained a calculated t value = 4.121 with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that the demonstration method at SDN 105305 Mardinding Julu has an influence on the atmosphere of learning motivation. The demonstration method in class V at SDN 105305 Mardinding Julu has an influence contribution value of 47.2%, while the remaining 53.8% is influenced by other variables outside the research or also known as non-determination coefficients such as telling stories, prayers or words. , singing in groups, and group activities in accordance with existing teaching techniques at SDN 105305 Mardinding Julu.

The method used to analyze the data is library research, which is a type of qualitative research. The research instrument is a person or human instrument, namely the researcher himself. To be able to become an instrument, the researcher must have the provision of theory and broad insight, so as to be able to ask questions, analyze, take pictures, and construct the social situation under study to be clearer and more meaningful. The data analysis technique used is data reduction; data presentation; and drawing conclusions/verification. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning Model can be used to improve achievement in learning mathematics, and the Problem Based Learning Method can make students have achievement in learning mathematics because it is directly related to the real world, so students feel mathematics is very useful and achievement it will increase.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a snakes and ladders game media on the material of Pancasila symbols for students and to determine the feasibility of using the media, as well as to determine the level of practicality of the media through the responses of educators and students after using the snakes and ladders game media on the material of Pancasila symbols. The research method adapts the development model developed by Borg and Gall. This research uses six steps as follows: 1) potential problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) product validation, 5) product revision, and 6) product trial. The data collection techniques used are the validation of the material expert questionnaire and the media expert questionnaire to determine the level of media feasibility and the student response questionnaire to determine the level of media feasibility. The subject of research and development is class IV A students at SD Negeri 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia, Beringin District. The results of research and development obtained a design in the form of snakes and ladders game media to introduce Pancasila symbols in Civics learning for class IV A at SD Negeri 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia, Beringin District, which obtained a feasibility score of 77% by media experts and 80% by material experts. Based on the results of the description above, the products developed by researchers are feasible and practical to use as learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Explosion Box media for teaching the human respiratory system and to assess its feasibility and practicality based on evaluations by educators and students. The study adopts the Borg and Gall development model and follows six stages: potential problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, and product testing. Data collection involved questionnaires from material and media experts to determine feasibility and responses from teachers and students to evaluate practicality. The subjects were fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 101928 Rantau Panjang, Pantai Labu District. The results showed that the Explosion Box media received a feasibility score of 77% from media experts and 80% from material experts. Teachers’ responses indicated a practicality score of 1, demonstrating the effectiveness of the media. The developed Explosion Box media is suitable and practical for teaching the human respiratory system in science lessons for fifth-grade students. This media offers an innovative and engaging approach to enhance student understanding of complex scientific concepts.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of Prototype Learning (X) on student independence (Y) in class V at UPT SPF SDN 106157 during the 2022/2023 academic year. The study uses an experimental method to analyze the relationship between the Prototype Learning model and students' independence. The results demonstrate that Prototype Learning falls into the "good" category, with students' independence similarly categorized as "good," achieving an average score of 82.2 in the experimental class. Students who utilized Prototype Learning recorded an average independence test score of 82.2 with a standard deviation of 9.06, while those in the control group who did not use the model achieved an average score of 51.67 with a standard deviation of 7.18. The hypothesis testing showed a t-value (th) of 0.06, which was compared with the critical t-table value of 0.245 at a 5% significance level for N = 60. Since 0.245 > 0.06, the hypothesis that Prototype Learning positively impacts student independence is accepted. This finding suggests that Prototype Learning is an effective method for enhancing student independence, providing a structured and supportive learning environment that fosters personal growth and academic success.
