Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited vocabulary acquisition among children, the lack of media variation in learning, and minimal student engagement in the learning process. The research aims to develop an effective quartet card media to enhance students' vocabulary at SDN 101968 Petumbukan. This study employs a research and development (R&D) approach based on the Borg & Gall model, following nine stages of development. The research subjects consist of 15 students. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and interviews, with research instruments comprising structured questionnaires and interview guidelines. The data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive analysis with percentage calculations. The findings indicate that quartet cards are a viable instructional medium for improving elementary school students' vocabulary acquisition. This is supported by validation results from material experts, who rated the media as eligible (82.5%), media experts who classified it as highly viable (92%), initial field trials categorized as successful (86.9%), main field trials also classified as successful (88.0%), and operational field trials rated as successful (86.3%). The overall percentage from all trials reached 87.0%, indicating that the quartet card media is an effective tool for vocabulary development in elementary education.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the cooperative learning model, specifically the Talking Stick type, on student independence in fourth-grade students at SDIT Ummu Hafidzah Sibiru-Biru. The research utilized a quasi-experimental design with a control and experimental group. The results indicate that Prototype Learning falls within the good category, as does student independence, with the experimental class achieving an average score of 82.2. In contrast, students who did not use Prototype Learning obtained an average score of 51.67. The standard deviation values were 9.06 for the experimental group and 7.18 for the control group. Hypothesis testing revealed a calculated t-value (th) of 0.06, which was compared to the t-table value of 0.245 at a 5% significance level with N = 60. Since 0.245 > 0.06, the hypothesis was accepted, confirming the significant effect of the cooperative Talking Stick learning model on student independence. These findings suggest that implementing cooperative learning strategies can enhance student autonomy in primary education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of wayang (paper puppet) media and students' learning motivation in social studies subjects among fourth-grade students at MIS Al-Imam Klumpang during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical method as outlined by Suryabrata (2013). The study involved 25 students, consisting of 8 males and 17 females. The independent variable in this study is the use of wayang media, while the dependent variable is students' learning motivation. The research was conducted in one action cycle with three meetings: the first for planning, the second for implementation and observation, and the third for reflection. Data were collected using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson product-moment correlation test. The results indicate a significance value of 0.068, which exceeds the 0.05 threshold, signifying that there is no statistically significant relationship between the use of wayang media and students' learning motivation. These findings suggest that while wayang media can be an engaging tool, further research is needed to explore its effectiveness in different contexts and with alternative methodologies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran kincir angin panel surya (KIPAS) berbasis STEM kepada siswa dan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan penggunaan media, serta mengetahui tingkat kepraktisan media melalui respon pendidik dan siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran kincir angin panel surya (KIPAS) berbasis STEM. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III di SD Negeri 101866 Batang Kuis. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan memperoleh desain berupa media pembelajaran kincir angin panel surya (KIPAS) berbasis STEM pada pembelajaran IPA kelas III di SD Negeri 101866 Batang Kuis memperoleh nilai kelayakan 92% oleh ahli media, 91,76% oleh ahli materi. Respon siswa terhadap kepraktisan media memperoleh nilai rata-rata 80%. Berdasarkan hasil uraian diatas maka produk yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti layak dan praktis untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Waste management is a crucial component in maintaining environmental sustainability. Furthermore, the current environment is facing an environmental crisis. Rapid urban population growth and consumption patterns have led to an unprecedented increase in waste generation, posing significant challenges to the waste management system. This community service activity focused on promoting the utilization of waste into recycled products to raise environmental awareness in the community. All activities, including pre-implementation, implementation of waste management socialization, and monitoring, were successfully implemented. This activity demonstrates that the effort has successfully increased public knowledge and awareness of the environment.

Abstract

The results of observations and research on November 6, 2023 are about students' learning motivation in learning Indonesian using pantun board media. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative method and by using nominal questionnaire data which only contains simultaneous numbers and facts from the truth produced by the researcher. From the results of the study, student data obtained were 23 (twenty-three) students and it was found that 3 (three) of the 23 (twenty-three) students in grade IV of SD YPNU Medan had low motivation and interest in learning, especially in learning Indonesian. The purpose of this study is to describe students' learning motivation in learning Indonesian in grade IV. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative research. While data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. This process is carried out by collecting data directly at the research location. Furthermore, the data analysis process is carried out using a nominal scale only. This study uses source triangulation techniques. From the results of data analysis it is known that student learning motivation in Indonesian language learning in grade IV of SD YPNU Medan is still low as seen from the low interest of students in learning Indonesian both in class and at home, also proven by the results of the questionnaire data assessment distributed, which shows that some grade IV students get grades less than expected, and due to several factors, namely 1). Abstract

This study aims to develop a snakes and ladders game media on the material of Pancasila symbols for students and to determine the feasibility of using the media, as well as to determine the level of practicality of the media through the responses of educators and students after using the snakes and ladders game media on the material of Pancasila symbols. The research method adapts the development model developed by Borg and Gall. This research uses six steps as follows: 1) potential problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) product validation, 5) product revision, and 6) product trial. The data collection techniques used are the validation of the material expert questionnaire and the media expert questionnaire to determine the level of media feasibility and the student response questionnaire to determine the level of media feasibility. The subject of research and development is class IV A students at SD Negeri 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia, Beringin District. The results of research and development obtained a design in the form of snakes and ladders game media to introduce Pancasila symbols in Civics learning for class IV A at SD Negeri 105345 Sidodadi Ramunia, Beringin District, which obtained a feasibility score of 77% by media experts and 80% by material experts. Based on the results of the description above, the products developed by researchers are feasible and practical to use as learning media.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan oleh tim dosen dari Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sumatera Utara. Kegiatan ini bertema "Pelatihan Teknologi Digital untuk Optimalisasi Produksi dan Pemasaran Pempek oleh Kelompok PKK Desa Ruhgemuk, Deli Serdang" Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat, khususnya ibu-ibu PKK, dalam menggunakan teknologi digital guna memperluas pasar dan meningkatkan daya saing produk pempek. Metode Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan melalui beberapa tahalan yakni: persiapan, pelaksanaan di lapangan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan melalui pre-test menunjukkan hanya 25% peserta paham teknologi digital sebagai media pemasaran, dan post test menunjukkan 100% peserta memahami manfaat teknologi digital, 92% mengenal platform pemasaran, dan 85% mampu mengaplikasikannya. Sedangkan keterampilan praktis menunjukkan peserta mahir menggunakan media sosial (Instagram, WhatsApp Business) untuk pemasaran, termasuk unggah produk dan simulasi pengiriman. Pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital dan keterampilan pemasaran online ibu-ibu PKK Desa Ruhgemuk. Peningkatan signifikan terlihat dari hasil evaluasi pre-test dan post-test, serta kemampuan praktis peserta dalam menggunakan platform digital. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam memberdayakan ibu-ibu PKK Desa Ruhgemuk untuk beradaptasi dengan era digital. Dengan keterampilan baru ini, diharapkan produksi dan pemasaran pempek mereka dapat dioptimalkan, sehingga membuka peluang ekonomi yang lebih luas bagi masyarakat setempat.
