Methods: Descriptive by using secondary data. The sample size was 142 pregnant women who experienced premature rupture of membranes in 2020 at Poso Hospital using the total sampling technique. Data were analyzed by univariate test. Results: The highest distribution of PROM incidence was in mothers aged 20-35 years, based on parity, the highest were multiparas, and the highest was based on work, namely mothers who did not work suggestions for the Poso Hospital, especially for medical record officers to complete patient data thoroughly.

Abstract

Introduction: The 2022 SSGI results indicate that the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia has decreased from 24.4% to 21.6% compared to the previous year. The target to be achieved by 2024 is to reduce the prevalence of stunting to 14%. Efforts to reduce the incidence of stunting include conducting health promotions about stunting. Purpose: This research aims to analyze the effect of health education on mothers' knowledge about stunting prevention in toddlers in the Malei Health Center working area, Poso Regency. Method: This quasi-experimental study employed a pre-experiment research design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The research was conducted in July 2023 in the working area of the Malei Health Center, Lage District, Poso Regency. The sample size was 65 people, selected through simple random sampling. Result: Univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents were aged 20–35 years (53.9%), had education levels ranging from elementary to junior high school (58.5%), and were unemployed (72.3%). The Wilcoxon test was used for bivariate analysis due to the non-normal distribution of the data. Statistical test results showed a significant increase in respondents' knowledge, with an average score increase of 50.2 and a p-value <0.05. Conclusion: Health education significantly influences maternal knowledge of stunting prevention. It is recommended that health promotion efforts be enhanced through education about stunting.

Abstract

Introduction: The proportion of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia has increased from 37.1% to 48.9% in 2018. This study aimed to determine the difference in the effectiveness of combining green bean (Vigna radiata) or red bean (Vigna angularis) juice with iron (Fe) tablets on hemoglobin (Hb) levels in pregnant women in Pontianak City, Indonesia. Method: A quasi-experimental study with a two-group pretest-posttest design was conducted on 32 pregnant women in their second trimester, divided into two groups of 16 each. The intervention group received a combination of green bean juice (300 ml/day) and Fe tablets, while the control group received a combination of red bean juice and Fe tablets for 14 days. Hemoglobin levels were measured before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests with a 95% confidence level. Results: The results showed a significant difference in the increase of Hb levels between the intervention and control groups (p=0.01). The mean Hb level increased from 10.90 to 11.72 g/dL in the green bean group and from 10.78 to 12.41 g/dL in the red bean group. The combination of red bean juice and Fe tablets showed the highest mean difference in Hb levels (1.63 g/dL). Conclusions: In conclusion, both combinations of green bean or red bean juice with Fe tablets were effective in increasing Hb levels in pregnant women, with the red bean combination showing a higher effectiveness. These findings provide additional information for healthcare professionals in educating about legumes that can help increase blood Hb levels during pregnancy.

Of these, 80.3% were caused by gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), while 10.6% were caused by diabetes detected before pregnancy, and 9.1% were caused by diabetes (including type 1 and type 2) first detected in pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between risk factors for pregnant women and blood sugar levels in Olilit village, Tanmbar Islands district. This research method is a quantitative descriptive study with a type of research is Cross Sectional using a questionnaire. The population of this study were all pregnant women who checked their pregnancy at the Olilit village Posyandu. The sample of this study was pregnant women who underwent ANC examinations, laboratory examinations of blood sugar levels 2 hours after eating >140 mg/dl in Olilit village, for the period January - April 2025, as many as 47 pregnant women. There are 21 pregnant women with abnormal blood sugar levels (44.68%), the majority are aged 21-35 years (9 people) (42.86%), 3rd trimester pregnancy age, 11 people (53.38%), have a family history of diabetes mellitus (5 people) (23.81%), abnormal blood pressure (12 people) (57.14%) Based on the results of bivariate analysis, the age and blood pressure of pregnant women have a relationship with blood sugar levels (p <0.001) in Olilit village. For that, every pregnant woman who checks her pregnancy, needs to have a blood sugar level check and counseling about gestational diabetes as an early detection of the dangers of diabetes in pregnancy Keyword: risk factors for pregnant women, blood sugar levels

Abstract

Developmental delays in under-five children are a global concern, with a prevalence of approximately 10% worldwide. In Central Sulawesi, the coverage of Early Stimulation, Detection, and Intervention for Growth and Development (SDIDTK) in toddlers remains low at 44.6%. Therefore, this community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres and mothers in Pinedapa Village in monitoring under-five children's development. The methods employed were education and simulation on monitoring child development. The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge; 80% of participants previously had poor knowledge, which increased to 100% having good knowledge post-education. Similarly, there was an improvement in participants' skills in monitoring under-five children's development after the simulation. This demonstrates the effectiveness of education and simulation in strengthening the capacity of partners, particularly concerning the monitoring of under-five children's development.

Abstract

The healthy life expectancy at birth in Indonesia was recorded at 3.8. This figure was influenced by the care provided during pregnancy, childbirth, and the neonatal period. The aim of this community service was to deliver optimal midwifery care to infants to enhance sleep quality, alleviate fussiness, boost appetite, and promote weight gain, ultimately improving the overall health status of the infants. The community service activity took place on Friday, November 10, 2023, in Lantojaya village, targeting infants aged 0 to 23 months. The procedures implemented included assessment, planning, action, and evaluation. Among the 12 infants who received baby massage, behavioral changes were observed before and after the intervention: full-body movements increased from 66.7% to 100%; visual attention improved in 91.7% of the infants; non-nutritive sucking rose by 25%; object-holding activity reached 100%; and self-touching behavior was noted in 91.7% of the infants. The conclusion drawn from this community service was that baby massage had a relaxing effect on infants. Therefore, it is recommended that families regularly perform baby massage, either independently or with assistance from healthcare professionals.

Abstract

Adolescent pregnancy under the age of 20 is a problem of adolescent reproductive health which is of concern to various groups. The prevalence rate of adolescents who have had sexual intercourse in Poso Regency is 86.1% and some of them experience unwanted pregnancies. The purpose of this activity is to educate adolescents about the importance of preparing for the pre-conception period in an effort to improve the quality of future generations. The type of research used is quantitative with pre-experimental methods. The planning used is one group pre-test and post-test design. The total population in the study was 154 respondents. The number of samples is 34 respondents. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire and snakes and ladders media. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test with a significant α<0.05. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that the p value was 0.000 which was less than the significant value (p<0.05) indicating that reproductive health education using the snakes and ladders method increased knowledge about preconceptional preparation. Education with the snake and ladder method is very effective and must be implemented to students in increasing the preparation for the preconception period.
