Abstract

ABSTRAK Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris siswa SMP/MTs pinggiran di Kota Mataram melalui maksimalisasi penggunaan flash cards. Peningkatan penguasaan kosakata yang dimaksud dalam program pengabdian ini (1) penguasaan jenis kata dalam Bahasa Inggris, (2) makna kosakata dan (3) penggunaannya dalam konteks yang lebih luas seperti penggunaan kosa kata dalam kalimat untuk tujuan komunikasi lisan dan tulisan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di sebuah SMP/MTs di daerah pinggiran di Kota Mataram. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan: (1) tahap pengamatan, (2) tahap pengajaran, dan (3) tahap evaluasi. Luaran yang diharapkan dari program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah (1) peningkatan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa; (2) model modifikasi dan maksimalisasi penggunaan flash card untuk memperkenalkan dan memperkuat penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa. ABSTRACT This community service program was aimed at improving junior high school students’ English vocabulary mastery through the optimization of flashcards. The improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery was limited to (1) types of speech, (2) words meanings, and (3) using vocabulary in contexts, i.e., in sentences for verbal and written communication. The program was conducted in a junior high school at the outskirt area of Mataram city, and the activities were arranged into three stages: (1) observation, (2) teaching and learning, and (3) evaluation. The outcomes of this program are (1) vocabulary mastery improvement and (2) models of flashcard modifications to introduce and improve students’ English vocabulary.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal (SPMI) dalam penguatan tata kelola Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP UMSU melalui pendekatan berbasis evaluasi diri. Menggunakan metode campuran dengan desain sekuensial eksplanatori, data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap dosen, mahasiswa, dan tenaga kependidikan, sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam, FGD, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi SPMI berada pada kategori sedang, dengan evaluasi diri sebagai komponen paling berpengaruh terhadap kualitas tata kelola. Evaluasi diri meningkatkan transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan partisipasi dalam pengambilan keputusan, meskipun masih terdapat tantangan seperti keterbatasan SDM dan resistensi terhadap perubahan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa evaluasi diri berbasis SPMI memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam mentransformasi tata kelola program studi secara holistik.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of figurative language in Bruno Mars' song lyrics, focusing on how various figurative expressions enhance emotional depth and convey meaning in his works. Guided by Knickerbocker and Reninger's framework, this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach supported by content analysis to identify, classify, and interpret figurative expressions in four Bruno Mars albums: Doo-Wops and Hooligans, Unorthodox Jukebox, 24K Magic, and An Evening with Silk Sonic. The analysis is conducted in four systematic stages: identification, categorization, interpretation, and contextual analysis of the figurative language found in the lyrics. This study is motivated by the growing recognition that song lyrics, particularly in popular music, function as a form of poetic and cultural expression. Bruno Mars was chosen as the focus of the analysis because of his global influence, genre diversity, and the sophistication of his lyrics, which often involve the creative use of figurative language to express universal human experiences such as love, heartbreak, ambition, and joy. The four albums were chosen to explore how the diversity of figurative language reflects his artistic evolution and emotional range throughout his career. The findings reveal eight distinct types of figurative language, with metaphor and hyperbole being the most dominant. These devices serve to intensify emotions, create vivid imagery, and accentuate expressive nuances in his songwriting, while personification, simile, irony, and symbolism add depth and aesthetic variety. The figurative language in Bruno Mars' lyrics serves as an artistic and communicative device that bridges literal meaning and emotional resonance. This study is expected to contribute to the fields of linguistics and stylistics by demonstrating how popular music integrates creative language to express complex emotions and cultural meanings. It also provides a methodological model for analyzing figurative language in various musical works. Furthermore, this research offers pedagogical value for non-native English speakers, helping them interpret English song lyrics more accurately and appreciate their figurative meanings, thereby preventing misinterpretation and enriching linguistic competence and cultural understanding.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of service quality, product quality, and the profit-sharing system on customer satisfaction of mudharabah savings at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Tanjung. This research employs a quantitative method with a systematic investigative approach. Both primary and secondary data were used, with data collected through a questionnaire instrument. The collected data were then processed using SPSS. The results of the study indicate that, partially, service quality and product quality have a significant effect on customer satisfaction, whereas the profit-sharing system does not have a partial effect on customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, service quality, product quality, and the profit-sharing system have a significant influence on the satisfaction of mudharabah savings customers at Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Tanjung.

Abstract

As a non-profit organization, the At-Taqwa Banjarmasin mosque administrators are required to prepare and present financial reports in accordance with ISAK 335. However, in reality, until now, the At-Taqwa Banjarmasin Mosque administrators have not been able to prepare and present financial reports in accordance with ISAK 335. This study was conducted using an interview method conducted with the administrators and congregation of the At-Taqwa Banjarmasin Mosque to find various obstacles faced by the mosque administrators in implementing ISAK 335. From the results of the interviews, various obstacles were found faced by the At-Taqwa Mosque administrators in implementing ISAK 335 for the preparation and presentation of mosque financial reports, including the lack of understanding of the mosque administrators regarding the transparency of the presentation of mosque financial reports, limited information known to the mosque administrators regarding the existence of accounting standards that must be applied in the preparation of mosque financial reports, the lack of understanding of the mosque administrators regarding the accountability of financial reports, and the absence of administrators who handle mosque finances who have an Accounting Education background. It is also known that there is no demand from the mosque congregation for the mosque administrators to prepare and present financial reports. mosque according to ISAK 335, resulting in the mosque administrators feeling no need to prepare financial reports in accordance with ISAK 335.

Abstract

In order for an organization to continue to exist, it must have the courage to face challenges and their implications, namely facing change and winning the competition. The resources owned by an organization such as capital, methods and machines cannot provide optimum results if they are not supported by human resources who have optimum Work Productivity. Data analysis is an interpretation for research aimed at answering research questions in order to uncover certain social phenomena (Santoso, 2012). Data analysis is the process of simplifying data into a form that is easier to read and implement (Santoso, 2012). This analysis includes data processing, organizing data and finding results. The analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with AMOS software. Work motivation has proven to have less influence on work productivity. Digital culture is proven to have an effect on work productivity. Work motivation is proven to have an effect on work engagement. Digital culture is proven to influence work engagement decisions. Work motivation is proven to influence work productivity through work engagement. Digital culture is proven to have an effect on work productivity through work engagement. Work engagement is proven to have an effect on work productivity.
