Abstract

The function of the state in providing health services is divided into the regulatory function, the controllingfunction, the entrepreneurial function and the supervisory function. In the regulatory function, the statedevelops policies in the field of health services that ensure that all people can enjoy health services. Thestate control function is responsible for the availability of equipment and medicines as well as maintainingthe stability of the flow of health service distribution. In the entrepreneurial function, the state in addition toproviding health services can receive income from health services which can later be used to equalize thecosts of health care dependents, especially for the poor and underprivileged. In the oversight function, thestate is responsible for carrying out full supervision of health facilities in order to optimally provide healthservices to the people.Keywords: State functions, health services, the right to health.

Abstract

Dental and oral health is part of the health of a person's body. Dental and oral health is a state of being free from oral disease and throat cancer, infections and sores of the mouth, gum disease and periodontal tissue, disorders that limit an individual's capacity in chewing, smiling, speaking and psycho-social well-being. Knowledge is very closely related to education, where it is expected that with higher education, the person will be more knowledge-widespread. Dental health efforts need to be reviewed from environmental aspects, knowledge, education, public awareness and dental health handling including prevention and treatment. Government efforts in building health certainly require people who can provide explanations about dental health and existing rules in the health sector, especially dental and oral health. One of the dental and oral health diseases is cavities. This disease is an infection that damages the structure of the hard tissue of the tooth caused by several acidic bacteria that can damage due to carbohydrate fermentation reactions. Dental caries is a disease that is very susceptible to occur in children and its prevalence continues to increase. This study aims to determine the picture of brushing knowledge on the status of dental caries in grade 3 and 4 students at SD Negeri Batulaccu Makassar, the research method used is descriptive research with a cross-sectional research design. The samples studied using purposive sampling were 36 people. The results showed that knowledge of brushing teeth was still lacking with moderate criteria of 61.2%, caries status in 14 students with very high criteria of 39%, and knowledge of brushing teeth with medium criteria as many as 8 respondents with criteria of DMF-/def-t caries of 22.3%.

Abstract

  The Influence of Leadership Style on Employee Work Enthusiasm in the  roduction Department of PT. Samudera Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style on employee work enthusiasm in the Production Department of PT. Samudera Indonesia. Employee work enthusiasm is an important factor in achieving organizational goals, especially in increasing productivity. The leadership style applied by a leader can be one of the factors influencing employee work motivation. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. The population in this study consists of all employees in the Production Department of PT. Samudera Indonesia, while the sample was taken randomly. Data were collected through questionnaires and then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The research results show that there is a significant influence between leadership style and employee work spirit in the Production Department of PT. Samudra Indonesia. This means that the better the leadership style applied, the higher the employees' work enthusiasm will be. The implication of this research is the importance for leaders at PT. Samudera Indonesia to implement effective leadership styles in enhancing employee work motivation

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financial adaptation strategies implemented by UMKM in Makassar City in facing global competition. In global competition, UMKM need to have strong competitive advantages, including financial management. Financial Technology (Fintech) can be a tool that supports MSME business growth, especially in the financing aspect. It is important to increase financial literacy along with the use of fintech, so that UMKM players can be wiser in choosing and using sources of financial access for the progress of their business. With a good understanding of financial literacy, it is hoped that UMKM will be able to utilize and manage existing financial resources more effectively. The method used in this paper is descriptive qualitative analysis and literature study, which aims to explain the application of Financial Technology (Fintech). The research results show that UMKM implement various financial adjustment strategies by considering factors such as business characteristics, external environment, and state support which also influence UMKM' financial adjustment strategies. This study has a significant impact on UMKM, the government, and related parties to increase the competitiveness of UMKM that have implemented several financial adjustment strategies, including better cash flow management, use of financial technology (Fintech), product diversification, and increased funding. Apart from that, internal factors such as management knowledge and external factors such as government support also influence the success of adaptation strategies. Overall, this adaptation strategy has proven effective in increasing the competitiveness of UMKM in the global market.

Abstract

Penguatan kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah merupakan faktor krusial dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan, terutama di wilayah dengan tantangan geografis dan sumber daya terbatas seperti Kabupaten Mimika, Papua Tengah. Pelatihan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam mengelola program sekolah yang berdampak langsung terhadap kualitas pembelajaran siswa. Tujuan utama kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan berbasis teori kepemimpinan pendidikan, khususnya model kepemimpinan transformasional, agar kepala sekolah mampu mengelola sumber daya, merancang program yang efektif, dan memimpin secara inspiratif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan pelatihan, penyusunan modul, penyampaian materi melalui sesi teori, studi kasus, diskusi kelompok, simulasi kepemimpinan, serta praktik langsung perancangan program. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman kepala sekolah terhadap konsep manajerial, dengan 85% peserta mampu memahami materi secara baik dan mampu mengusulkan solusi strategis dalam studi kasus. Kegiatan ini juga menciptakan ruang refleksi dan kolaborasi antar kepala sekolah serta mendorong terciptanya program-program sekolah yang lebih terarah dan berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Pelatihan ini membuktikan bahwa intervensi sistematis dan kontekstual mampu memperkuat kapasitas kepemimpinan sekolah dasar di daerah tertinggal.

Abstract

Traffic congestion is a common problem faced by transportation modes in Indonesia, including Makassar City. This study aims to analyze the role of traffic police competence in reducing road congestion. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews and participant observation with Makassar City Police Traffic Unit personnel and road users. The results show that traffic police competence, including technical skills, communication skills, digital technology mastery, and professionalism, significantly influences the effectiveness of traffic control. Although most personnel have adequate understanding and experience, there is variation in task implementation, particularly in mastery of technological systems and educational approaches to the public. This study concludes that competency improvement must be accompanied by continuous training, equitable distribution of resources, and cross-sectoral institutional synergy to achieve more efficient traffic management.

Abstract

This community service research aims to improve the competence of SMA Negeri 1 Sidrap teachers in designing and implementing learning based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through the integration of Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). This activity was motivated by teachers' low understanding of the HOTS learning strategy, the limitations of the use of CAI, and the lack of application of IoT in supporting contextual learning according to the demands of the Independent Curriculum. The method used is a participatory-collaborative approach with several stages, namely socialization, intensive training, application of technology in the classroom, mentoring and evaluation, and preparation of good practice guidelines as a form of program sustainability. Data was collected through observations, interviews, pre-training and post-training questionnaires, and activity documentation. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in teachers' competence in designing HOTS teaching devices, utilizing interactive CAI modules, and integrating simple IoT in project-based learning. In addition, this activity strengthens the capacity of educational institutions through the development of adaptive technology-based learning models, increasing student involvement, and placing SMA Negeri 1 Sidrap as a model school in the implementation of CAI and IoT-based HOTS learning.

Abstract

Teaching modules are essential tools that support teachers in delivering material and managing classroom learning activities. However, many modules currently used in elementary schools do not fully meet the required standards. This study aims to validate the development of a digital teaching module based on critical literacy, designed for fifth-grade elementary school students. The validation process involved expert validators as well as a classroom teacher as respondents. Data were collected through validation sheets and structured questionnaires, assessing key aspects such as content relevance, integration of critical literacy, ease of use, student engagement, and technical quality. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics to calculate mean scores and levels of agreement. The findings show that the digital teaching module achieved high average scores across all components, with content relevance and clarity of instructions each scoring 4.0, ease of use 3.9, and integration of critical literacy 3.8. Although student engagement and technical quality received slightly lower scores (3.6 and 3.8, respectively), these values remain within acceptable standards. These results indicate that the digital teaching module is a valid and promising tool for integrating critical literacy into elementary education.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan jiwa kepramukaan untuk siswa dalam membentuk karakter berkarakter di sekolah dasar. Gerakan Pramuka di Sekolah Dasar merupakan kegiatan ektrakurikuler yang dirancang untuk pendidikan karakter siswa di sekolahan. Melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler ini siswa diajak untuk menjadi manusia yang berwatak, berkepribadian Indonesia dan beraklak mulia. Pembentukan karakter didapatkan melalui pendidikan kepramukaan dan terbentuk disetiap kegiatan kepramukaan. Lewat kegiatan kepramukaan siswa mendapatkan prinsip dasar kepramukaan yang berisi nilai dan norma dalam kehidupan anggota Gerakan Pramuka yang mencakup: (1) Iman dan takwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, (2) Peduli terhadap bangsa dan tanah air, sesama hidup dan alam seisinya, (3) Peduli terhadap diri pribadinya, dan (4) Taat kepada kode etik kehormatan. Oleh sebab itu, mengajarkan dan mengembangkan karakter siswa melalui kegiatan pramuka sangatlah penting sebagai norma hidup. Prinsip dasar kepramukaan ditanamkan dan ditumbuh kembangkan secara terus menerus kepada setiap peserta didik melalui proses penghayatan untuk dan oleh diri pribadinya dengan bantuan para tenaga pendidik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Problem Centered Learning learning model, find out the interpersonal communication skills of students and find out the influence of the Problem Centered Learning learning model on the interpersonal communication skills of grade IV students of UPT SPF SD Negeri Borong. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subject of the study involved 53 students in grade IV of elementary school, consisting of 27 students in the experimental class and 26 students in the control class using the purposive sampling method. The research instrument consists of observation sheets and questionnaires. The data collection procedures, namely pre-nontest, treatment, and post-nontest, were then analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this study show that: (1) the application of the Problem Centered Learning learning model that was carried out obtained a good category with 3 stages individual problem-solving activities.
