Abstract

This research discusses about the interests of Indonesia did not ratify the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) in 2006-2014. International Labor Organization has established an international convention on seafarers. Based on the ILO survey that transport goods from one place to another, and from one country to another that is 90% done with the use of sea transport. Therefore, the ILO established a maritime labor convention to ensure the full protection of the rights of seafarers throughout the world.The author analyzes this case use descriptive qualitative methods that collects data and facts through some literature such as books, journals, and websites. The theory is use to analyze the interests of Indonesia did not ratify the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) is a theory of foreign policy realism perspective and the concept of national interest.The results of this research shows there are interest of Indonesia did not ratify the Maritime Labour Convention are the political interests and economic interests. Political interests that conflict interests between the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration Ministry of Transportation, while the economic interests unpreparedness national governments and ship owners to meet rights standards sailors, as well as an imminent government fears a domino effect in the economic sector.Keywords: interest, Ratification, Seafarers, and Maritime Labour Convention

Abstract

This study used a qualitative research method that the source data is takenfrom books , journals , newspapers , the internet , and previous studies have data thatis relevant to the title . Perspectives and levels of analysis used in this study is that thestate as the main actor . By using the theory of international cooperation and analyzesthe state of the nation . This study will describe the motivations that made Indonesianfisheries cooperation with Vietnam . And knowing the interests of Indonesian fisheriescooperation with Vietnam . Indonesia as a country with high potential fishery resourcesare threatened by illegal fishing, which often occur in the waters of Indonesia andneighboring countries especially Vietnam . Abstract

This research aim to describes the roles of the UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Emergency Funds) as non-governmental organization in tackling the health crisis in Venezuela in 2018-2019. UNICEF works in 190 countries in the entire world and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their right and to help them to fulfil their potential creativity from child through adolescenst in every condition such as victim of crisis, victim of conflict, victim of natural disaster.        UNICEF will help to save children’s lives. Since the Venezuelan crisis began in 2014, It has been affect the economic, politics and health system in Venezuela. The reason why health crisis in Venezuela rising is because of the hyperinflation and  the  collapse of health system and infrastructure and the lack of food stock, lack of medicine, lack of clean water dan lack of government’s participation makes Venezuelan suffering more difficult such as the collapse of infrastructure, malnutrition, epidemic of deaceses such as Malaria, Tuberculosis, HIV-AIDS.The research use pluralism perspective which believes that states are not the only actors in international world. This research also is guide by theory of international organizations role. The method of this research is qualitative method. The data collection incorporates by literature study from journals, books, documents and websites. This research shows the role by UNICEF in tackling the health crisis in Venezuela by excecuting programs that has been created for the people and child tjat affected by the health crisis and this research also explained the obstacles that UNICEF faced to help people lives specially children and pregnant woman suffer the health crisis. Abstract

This research that the study of diplomacy and strategy analyzes about Indonesian government's efforts in maintaining the border region Indonesia-Vietnam years (2010-2014). The purpose of this research is to explain about general conditions Indonesia-Vietnam defence, the condition of Indonesia-Vietnam border region, and Indonesian government’s efforts in maintaining the border region Indonesia-Vietnam years (2010-2014).Indonesia-Vietnam border lies between the Sekatung island and Condore island in South China Sea. Indonesian government attempted to keep the border region because Sekatung Island is one of the outer islands are disturbed to conflict. Moreover Indonesia has border issues with Vietnam. The problems that Indonesia has not been completed entire sea border agreement with Vietnam and the violation of the territorial sovereignty (illegal fishing) which is rife in the waters of Natuna Islands. That problems in Indonesia-Vietnam border, it will threaten the national security and defense Indonesia.This research used qualitative methods which is done by explanning the case based on existing facts. The techniques used to collects data to study the case to library research in the form of journals, books, official documen, article, and website. The theoretical framework applied in this research are realism perspective, security concept, nation-state analysis and national security theory. Abstract

This study aims to explain the motivation of Indonesia to ratified the ASEAN Agreement on Transboandary Haze Pollution in 2014 AATHP was formed in 2002, which was signed by ASEAN countries and prevailed in 2003, which was initially ratified by six ASEAN countries, and up in 2010 has been ratified by nine countries. Indonesia is the last country to ratified this treaty in 2014, eventhough Indonesia is a country with the most frequent forest fires, and it happened almost every year.Forest fires in Indonesia has caused in air pollution that is not only detrimental to Indonesia, but also caused a pollution in other countries, especially in it self ASEAN region such as Malaisya and Singapore.This study uses the realism perspective where realism considers that a foreign policy will not be taken if it can not provide benefits to the country, so it become one of the reasons for Indonesia to ratified AATHP. Abstract

This Research is about cooperation between two countries in energy security sector, that provides an analyze of the role Indonesia-Japan Coal Policy Dialogue (IJCPD), in maintaining the future of Indonesia’s coal energy resources, there are 3 aspects , technology, human resources and domestic obligation/coal trading. Energy security become an issue that affect not only in big country, but also in developing country especially Indonesia. High intensity energy resources, certainly very important for industrialization and development country. Indonesia have so many coal energy potentials, and until now Indonesia’s still depend on petroleum energy that keep decrease every years. Indonesia has looking for diversification energy that compromise for energy security in the future, it can replace petroleum as main energy sector in Indonesia, and coal is an answer for Indonesia to maintain energy security in the future.In this research use the conceptual basis, with the concept of the role Indonesia-Japan Coal Policy Dialogue (IJCPD) as a forum cooperation between two countries that focusing on development energy security especially in coal energy resources. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Starbucks Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program on the socio-economic aspects of coffee farmers in Karo, North Sumatra. The purpose of this research is to find out and illustrate how Starbucks as a multi-national corporation effect the community groups where the company operates.. Indonesia is the 4th largest coffee producing country in the world. However, coffee farming in Indonesia still faces many obstacles so that the social and economic life of coffee farmers is not prosperous. Starbucks is a company with a commitment to making coffee as the first sustainable commodity in the world, this is achieved in various ways, including by ensuring the welfare of coffee farmers.This research is a qualitative research that explained based on the facts available. Neo-liberalism theory helps to analyze the role of non-state actors namely Multinational Corporation. Other theories used are the Corporate Social Responsibility Theory, and Theory of Effect, and Group Analysis which helps researchers find answers to the research problem. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, library research.The results of this study indicate that two of Starbucks Corporate Social Responsibility programs have had an effect on the socio-economic conditions of coffee farmers in Karo, North Sumatra since the establishment of the Farmer Support Center in 2015. Abstract

This is a study about the implementation of REDD+ in forest conservation in the Aceh Province. Aceh have large of tropical forest that has kind of plants and animals, but biside that Aceh facing on degradation. The degradation is resulted by illegalogging, it made appear the carbon emission. REDD+ as work system, has a role for save the Aceh’s forest. REDD+ made a coorperation with Aceh governance for it.This script uses the conceptual base with the concept Green Political where in role of REDD+ become the focus of study. It is also supported by the range or nation-state, pluralism perspective and Green theory. The concept directs to the qualitative methode and literature study as the resource of the information.The implementation performed by REDD+ were give a fund grant to Indonesia, cooperation with Aceh governanvce. Aceh governance has signed a MOU by BP (Badan Pengelola) of Indonesia REDD+ for forest conservation, the signed was presenting by governor of Aceh and Ambassador of Norwegia. Abstract

This study describes and illustrates the shape of Australian Marriage Equality efforts in upholding human rights in accordance UN resolutions. Australian Marriage Equality is a national organization that embodies the aspirations and voices of LGBT Australia dedicated to removing discriminatory provisions of the Australian Marriage Act 1961 The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the background of Australian Marriage Equality and the efforts of Australia's efforts to influence policy related to same sex marriage issue appropriate UN resolutions.The author analyzes the case using descriptive research method, which is a study that seeks to explain something through some literature such as books, journals, and websites. The theory that is used in analyzing the australian marriage equality efforts in upholding human rights related issues same sex marriage in Australia is an international organization theory, role theory, and the concept of human rights.The results of this study illustrate the efforts of AME in enforcing human rights policy changes affecting Australia Same sex marriage related problems include lobbying decision makers, conduct regular forums, equality campaign, mardi gras parade and publish the Roadmap to reform that contains a summary of the efforts made by AME. Abstract

This study describe about Indonesian economic cooperation in the export of LNG to Japan in 2008-2015, which was written in a Joint Statement November 28, 2006.             The sources of this research were obtained through literature reviews, books, websites, and others. The source of analysis is qualitative methods. This study uses the level of analysis of the nation state, liberalism perspective considers that war is only a small part of existing reality. The liberalists hope international relation are understood throughly and not forget that cooperation between countries is one of the main things.             Indonesia is one of the biggest LNG producing countries, and Japan is an industrial country that needs energy to run its industry. This economic cooperation is a Japanese soft power strategy that has helped the Indonesian economy. See the condition of Japan that is in need of energy, one of which is LNG. Indonesia's LNG exports play a role in increasing the country's foreign exchange, with the existence of economic cooperation, especially in the energy sector, Japan as a partner also helps in the development of Indonesian LNG. Keywords: LNG, Energy, Export, Import, Economic Cooperation, IJEPA, Commodity.
