Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the effect of Sunkist orange (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) peel extract nanoparticles in granular form on lipid profile levels in alloxan-induced Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus). The study employed an experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The population for this research was Wistar rats. The study used five treatment groups, resulting in a total of 25 rats, with five rats in each treatment group, as determined using the Federer formula. After the administration of sunkist orange peel extract nanoparticles at different doses for 14 days, the results showed a decrease in total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides, and HDL levels. The research findings demonstrated the influence of reducing lipid profile levels in diabetic rats. The effective dose for reducing the lipid profile in this study was found to be 100 mg for total cholesterol, 70 mg for triglyceride, and 70 mg for both HDL and LDL when using the ethanol extract of sunkist orange peel.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus and its consequences are significantly influenced by oxidative stress. Sunkist and lime oranges are a nutritional powerhouse, offering a range of health benefits due to their high content of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Key compounds like anthocyanins, flavanones, and hydroxycinnamic acid contribute to their potential positive impact to reduce oxidative stress. Therefore, the effect of nanoparticle granules combination of sunkist orange peel and lime peel was investigated on diabetic rats. Twenty male Wistar rats were randomly distributed:  Group 1 as control group given distilled water, Group 2 as DM group with alloxan, Group 3 with DM + NGSLP 100mg / kgBW, Group 4 with DM + NGSLP 200mg / kgBW. Rats with diabetes were treated by intraperitoneal injection with 100 mg/kg alloxan. NGSLP treatment was given for 14 days to each treatment group. At the end, the blood and heart tissue were collected and used to determine the GPx enzyme, SOD, MDA, CAT and histological evaluation. Diabetes induction increased the level of MDA and decreased after treated with NGSLP. In diabetic rats treated with NGSLP showed an increase in SOD, GPX and CAT in blood. Histopathological findings of heart tissue showed the protective effect of NGSLP in rats with diabetic. This study revealed that NGSLP has antioxidant effects in the blood and heart of alloxan-induced diabetic rats.

Abstract

Skin wounds, whether acute or chronic, disrupt the integrity of the largest organ in the human body. The healing process involves intricate stages, with collagen playing a crucial role. Microneedling therapies, such as dermapen, stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture. This study investigated the effect of butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea) extract cream on collagen production during the healing of dermapen-induced wounds in obese Wistar rats. Dermapen treatment, a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure, induces controlled skin punctures to stimulate collagen production. However, obesity can impair wound healing. This study aimed to determine if butterfly pea extract, rich in antioxidants, could enhance collagen synthesis and accelerate wound closure in obese rats. The results demonstrated that all treatment groups with butterfly pea extract cream exhibited significantly faster wound healing compared to the control group. Histopathological analysis revealed denser collagen deposition in the treatment groups, particularly those treated with 7% and 10% extract cream. These findings suggest that butterfly pea extract cream may have therapeutic potential in promoting efficient wound healing, particularly in obese individuals, by enhancing collagen production and accelerating the recovery process.

Abstract

One of the problems for pregnant women is dealing with pain and recovering quickly after surgery. This research focuses on observing pregnant women after surgery to compare the pain scale and duration of early post-operative mobilization using ERACS tap blocks and ERACS without tap blocks. This quantitative research was designed using a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was 40 respondents selected by purposive sampling. The pain scale was measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Early Mobilization was measured using an observation sheet. Based on the results of statistical analysis. The p value in the results of the Mann-Whitney test analysis on the pain scale for both variables is VAS5 (24 hours) which has a p value of 0.028 which is lower than 0.05. Early mobilization shows that catheter removal has a p value of 0.002, lower than 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pain scale and the duration of early mobilization using ERACS tap block and ERACS without tap block.

Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution has had a significant impact on economic progress, triggering intense competition between companies to achieve their goals. One effective strategy to increase company value is to adopt sustainable financial reporting that prioritizes economic stability and inclusiveness. The aim of this research is to investigate the impact of implementing Environmental Social and social Governance (ESG) reporting on the value of non-banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the LQ 45 index during the 2021-2023 period. Using descriptive, verification and regression analysis techniques, this research shows the influence of ESG-independent variables on company value. Data was collected from the annual reports of 23 non-banking companies included in the LQ 45 index. The results of this research are that environmental and social coverage has a significant positive influence on company value, while governance coverage does not show a significant influence. In addition, increasing sales as a controlling factor does not have a significant impact on company value. In conclusion, ESG reporting can increase a company's attractiveness to investors, with environmental and social factors being key. This research suggests increasing the number and longer sample time period for future research to obtain more comprehensive results
