Abstract

Human resource development (HRD) is a key factor in driving economic growth, particularly among small businesses. Skilled and competent human resources can enhance productivity and efficiency, thereby fostering faster economic growth. This research aims to identify and analyze effective HRD strategies in boosting the economic growth of small businesses within community settings. This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis. Data sourced from Google Scholar span publications between 2001 and 2024. Findings indicate that HRD plays a crucial role in enhancing the economic growth of small businesses within communities. Skilled and trained human resources can elevate productivity, efficiency, and innovation, thus enhancing the quality of products and services offered and business competitiveness. including access to education, financial limitations, and inadequate infrastructure. Effective HRD strategies should address these challenges through educational and training programs, improving working conditions, leadership development, and collaboration among stakeholders

Abstract

Indonesia, situated within the Pacific Ring of Fire and tropical regions, faces significant vulnerability to natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and floods. Its geographical conditions heighten the risk of frequent natural disasters, which often have extensive and profound impacts on society and the economy. This study aims to analyze the role of public administration in natural disaster mitigation and its implications for economic stability. It employs a literature review methodology with a qualitative approach, drawing data from scholarly articles available on Google Scholar from 2011 to 2024. The findings underscore the critical importance of public administration in disaster mitigation for maintaining the economic stability of the country. Indonesia, as a nation vulnerable to various natural disasters, has experienced serious human and material losses. The response from the government and related agencies, such as the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), has been pivotal in coordinating mitigation efforts, emergency response, and post-disaster recovery

Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasingly fierce business competition, a profound understanding of how corporate culture influences employee performance has become a primary focus for organizational leaders and managers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of corporate culture on employee performance. This study is a qualitative descriptive study that explores previous studies related to corporate culture and employee performance. First, relevant studies were collected regarding corporate culture and employee performance, as well as the possible impacts of these constructs. Subsequently, the author summarized the relevant studies and discussed the concepts of corporate culture and employee performance and how these concepts can be utilized within organizations. The next step is to express the author's views on the potential of corporate culture and employee performance within the organization. The study results indicate that corporate culture, including clear vision and mission, emphasized norms, and employee-focused orientation, significantly influences employee performance. A strong and positive culture shapes an inspirational work environment, motivates employees to contribute their best, enhances productivity, work quality, and teamwork, and provides a competitive advantage for the company in achieving its goals and success. Corporate culture also plays a crucial role in employee retention, attracting top talents, and differentiating the company in the job market.

Abstract

Employee psychological well-being is crucial in today's complex and ever-changing corporate environment. This is because technological advances, international competition, and changing consumer expectations have changed the labour market. This study aims to examine the role of transformational leadership in improving employees' psychological well-being. This research is a descriptive qualitative study that explores previous studies related to transformational leadership and employee psychological well-being. First, relevant studies were collected related to transformational leadership and employee psychological well-being and the possible impact of both constructs. After that, the author summarises the relevant studies and discusses the concepts of transformational leadership and employee psychological well-being and how they can be used in organisations. The next step is to express the author's views on the potential of transformational leadership and employee psychological well-being in organisations. Study results show that transformational leadership improves employee psychological well-being. Transformational leaders inspire and motivate their people, making them feel valued and invested in the company's objective. This boosts workplace motivation, self-esteem, and growth

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of modern society's daily life. With the rapid development of information and communication technology, social media platforms have changed the way people interact, share information, and express their views. The purpose of this study is to analyse the role of social media in shaping public opinion and its influence on economic decisions. This research uses a qualitative method. Data collection involved literature review and social media content analysis, focusing on opinion patterns and their influence. Reliability and validity were emphasised through triangulation and participation of secondary source participants in the analysis process. The study results show that in a digital age characterised by the central role of social media, it can be concluded that social media has a significant role in shaping public opinion and also influencing economic decision-making. Through social media, individuals and groups can interact with each other, share information, and participate in discussions that shape collective views on various issues.

Abstract

Consumer behavior has shifted with the advent of social media. Consumers now tend to seek information, reviews, and product recommendations through these platforms. Technology businesses must understand and leverage this change to build and maintain brand loyalty. This research aims to identify and analyze the most effective social media content strategies in enhancing brand loyalty in technology businesses, as well as providing practical recommendations for companies to implement these strategies. The research method employed is a literature review with a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis. In this study, data were collected from scholarly articles published between 2010-2024, utilizing Google Scholar as the primary source of search. This approach can provide a comprehensive understanding of the main research topic based on relevant and up-to-date empirical data. The study findings indicate that in the evolving digital era, social media has become one of the primary means for technology businesses to interact with consumers. To differentiate and build strong brand loyalty amidst increasing competition, social media content strategies should be based on a deep understanding of the target audience, consistency, authenticity, educational and informative content, active engagement, and continuous data analysis. By effectively implementing these strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social networks in facilitating access to capital and resources for start-up entrepreneurs in Indonesia. As a literature review employing a qualitative approach, the research utilizes secondary data sourced from Google Scholar between 2003–2024, selecting 19 articles. Descriptive analysis explores how social networks, encompassing personal relationships, business communities, and digital platforms, assist start-up entrepreneurs in overcoming challenges related to accessing capital, knowledge, and collaboration opportunities. Findings indicate that social networks play a critical role in creating funding opportunities through interpersonal connections, leveraging crowdfunding platforms, and establishing strategic connections via business communities and social media. Relevant case studies highlight the success of start-up entrepreneurs in Indonesia who have utilized social networks to expand their businesses and overcome operational challenges. However, the study also finds that the effectiveness of social networks depends on digital literacy, relationship-building capabilities, and community support. Digital literacy training, strengthening business communities, and educating entrepreneurs on leveraging social networks should be prioritized to support the growth of start-up entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made by SMEs to be able to survive and get decent performance results in times of crisis by adopting information technology. This is the right innovation step because humans are now interconnected despite the special need for business transformation from traditional to electronic business. However, in its implementation, there are obstacles that hinder the success of the performance results of SMEs that have adopted post-pandemic IT, such as IT capabilities and HR management capabilities. The purpose of this study is to prove and confirm that these two obstacles are real and have been bridged by the local government so that SMEs are not too negatively affected by the pandemic through digital ecosystem training. The object of this research is 66 SMEs in the city of Surabaya. Sampling technique was non-random sampling with type purposive sampling Data was collected by distributing online to selected respondents. The results of the study obtained the fact that IT Capability has a positive and significant effect on the performance of SMEs. This is indicated by the path coefficient value of 0.461 and the P-value of 0.000. Human Resources Management has a positive and significant effect on the performance of SMEs. This is indicated by the path coefficient value of 0.386 and the P-value of 0.000. The calculation results refer to the path coefficient > 0.1 and significant at P-value <0.05. This means that the government's role is highly expected in maintaining the nation's economic stability through the empowerment of SMEs in the aspects of information technology and human resources.

Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies for community empowerment through social entrepreneurship in supporting sustainable economic development. Using a literature review approach and descriptive analysis, the research explores relevant literature published between 2017 and 2024. Data were collected from 30 articles on Google Scholar, which were then filtered to 18 articles meeting quality and relevance criteria. The findings indicate that social entrepreneurship positively impacts community empowerment by creating sustainable economic and social opportunities. Case studies analyzed, such as Nglanggeran Tourism Village, Sababay Winery, and Difalink, highlight that cross-sector collaboration, technology adoption, and data-driven management are key success factors. However, challenges such as limited access to capital, infrastructure, and technology hinder the implementation of social entrepreneurship. Therefore, collaboration between government, private sector, and communities is essential to overcome these barriers and enhance the effectiveness of community empowerment through social entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital material accessibility on academic achievement through students' engagement with technology. The research employs a quantitative survey method a survey method using SEM-PLS data analysis to explore the relationships between the relevant variables. A purposive sampling technique is used to select samples that meet specific criteria. The research sample comprises of 162 students in Malang, Indonesia, with data collected via an online questionnaire. This study shows that the use of AI in learning among students in Malang, when combined with effective digital material accessibility, has been proven to have a positive and significant impact on their academic performance, with technology engagement serving as an important mediating variable. AI, by enhancing competence, autonomy, and intrinsic motivation, helps students achieve their academic goals, increases their efforts, and provides higher self-satisfaction. This research implies that effective integration of AI and accessibility of digital materials, supported by technology engagement, can significantly improve students' academic performance, so educational institutions urgently need to strengthen the use of technology in learning.
