Abstract

The rapid urbanization and industrialization of cities have significantly contributed to the rising pollution levels, especially in urban rivers, where water quality is often compromised. Monitoring water quality in real-time is essential for mitigating the adverse effects of water contamination. This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for real-time monitoring of water quality in urban rivers, focusing on the continuous collection and analysis of environmental data. The system utilizes a range of sensors to measure critical water quality parameters, including pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), turbidity, and various contaminants, all of which transmit data wirelessly to a central server for further processing. The study evaluates the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of the IoT system in detecting water pollution and its ability to deliver real-time insights. Findings demonstrate that the IoT system offers a higher level of precision and faster detection compared to conventional monitoring methods, making it an effective tool for real-time pollution detection and decision-making. Additionally, the integration of the IoT system with a user-friendly visualization platform enhances the accessibility of the data for stakeholders, enabling them to monitor the water quality effectively. The study suggests that IoT-based water quality monitoring systems present a sustainable long-term solution for urban water management, offering cost and time savings. Moreover, the research highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration to support the development and deployment of IoT technologies and recommends further advancements in sensor technologies to monitor additional water quality parameters.

Abstract

Employee attendance is a crucial component of human resource management, particularly in government institutions such as the Tax Service Office (KPP) Pratama. The manual attendance system previously used is prone to fraud, inefficient in data processing, and time-consuming during recap. This study aims to design and implement a web-based employee attendance information system integrated with Fingerspot biometric devices to improve accuracy, security, and efficiency in attendance management. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg & Gall model, which includes stages of preliminary study, system design, product development, expert validation, limited trials, revisions, and implementation. The system was developed using the Laravel (PHP) framework and a MySQL database, integrated with the Fingerspot API to synchronize attendance data in real time. Validation results from three experts produced an average feasibility score of 4.32 out of 5, indicating that the system is highly suitable for use. Trials conducted with 10 KPP Pratama employees showed that 90% of respondents found the system more practical and 100% stated that it effectively prevents attendance fraud. Furthermore, the monthly attendance recap time was significantly reduced from 3 days to less than 1 hour. Therefore, this system has proven to be a reliable digital solution that supports transparent and accountable personnel management within KPP Pratama.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has encouraged government agencies to improve the quality of public services through digital transformation. This research focuses on developing a multi-platform chatbot application integrated with WhatsApp, Telegram, and a web-based reporting system to support the public service operations of DISPERKIM POOL Seroja, Semarang City. The main issues identified include limited access to information, dependency on office hours, and increased workload for staff in handling repetitive inquiries from the public. Using a methodology that includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing, the chatbot was developed using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to understand user intent in natural Indonesian language and provide accurate, real-time automated responses. The implementation results show that the system performs effectively, achieving an intent recognition accuracy rate of over 85% and an average response time of less than three seconds. User testing also indicates high satisfaction levels, as the chatbot significantly simplifies access to information and facilitates faster reporting processes. Overall, the system enhances public service efficiency, reduces the burden on DISPERKIM staff, and supports the government's digital transformation agenda toward smart and responsive public services.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to reveal the dynamics of marriage among migrant communities in Port Numbay (Jayapura) using a legal pluralism framework to analyze the interaction between tradition, legal provisions, and contemporary social realities in marriage practices. Migration to Papua has formed a new social configuration that displays differences in marriage norms and potential friction with local culture Method – A qualitative approach was used in this study, with research data obtained from observations and interviews with religious leaders, traditional leaders, academics, and legal practitioners. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis methods within a legal pluralism framework. Findings – The main findings of this study show that the marriage practices of the migrant community in Port Numbay take place in various patterns, including marriages between members of the same ethnic group, between different ethnic groups, and mixed marriages with the local community. The problem of migrant marriages is the result of a complex interaction between socioeconomic pressures and legal pluralism, where state law, Islamic law, and local customary law operate simultaneously but are not yet effectively integrated. These tensions place couples, especially women, in a vulnerable position, requiring an approach based on legal pluralism and maqāṣid al-sharīʿah to strengthen contextual protection, justice, and resilience. Research implications – Legal awareness and the harmonization of customary norms with state regulations in marriage practices among migrant communities must be strengthened. Originality/value – This study highlights the unique dynamics of migrant marriages in the multicultural context of Port Numbay.

Abstract

Melon (Cucumis melo L.) Honey Orange variety is a horticultural commodity with superior taste, aroma, and nutritional content, but its productivity is relatively low. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of various doses of Trichoderma sp. on the growth and yield of melon plants of the Honey Orange variety. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six treatments, namely T0 = without Trichoderma sp., T1 = 5 g/L, T2 = 10 g/L, T3 = 15 g/L, T4 = 20 g/L, and T5 = 25 g/L. The parameters observed were the number of leaves (leaflets), stem diameter (cm), fruit diameter (cm), and fruit weight (g). The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan's Test at the 5% level. The results of this study showed that the administration of Trichoderma sp. had a significant effect on all observed growth and yield parameters. The T3 treatment (15 g/L) was the most effective treatment, with an increase in the number of leaves and stem diameter, and produced the highest fruit diameter and fruit weight, namely 36.48 cm and 876 g, respectively. Thus, the application of Trichoderma sp. at a dose of 15 g/L can be recommended as the optimum dose to increase the growth and productivity of the Honey Orange melon variety.

Abstract

In the healthcare industry, professionals develop big amounts of disorganized data. The complexity of this data and the loss of computational capability lead to delays in the investigation. Nevertheless, with the advent of Deep Learning algorithms and connection to computing power such as Graphic Processor Units (GPUs) and Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), text and image processing has become usable. Deep Learning (DL) data bring about a big outcome in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and computer perception. The main purpose of this study is to build an undivided approach that can relate social platforms, literature, and scientific records to develop an approach to medicinal education for the public and experts. This study focuses on NLP in the healthcare industry and compiles data by Electronic Medical Records (EMR), medical literature, and social platforms. The framework proposed in this study is one for connecting social platforms, medical literature, and Electronic Medical Records scientific records using Deep Learning algorithms. Linking data sources requires defining the relationships between them, and finding concepts in medical texts. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) introduced the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) and uses this system as the basis for the proposed system. The dynamic nature of a social platform can be recognized and supervised methodologies can be applied under supervision to develop conception. Named entity Recognition (NER) enables the active eradication of data or individuals by the pharmaceutical literature.

Abstract

The cash processing administration system in a company plays a very important role. One of the problems that often arises in a cash processing administration system is the inaccurate calculation results of cash administration reports. This can result in inaccurate calculations of a company's profits and losses. Besides that, the use of company funds for something is not necessary, because every income and expenditure of company funds can be seen clearly and can be checked at any time. In short, companies will be able to quickly and easily find out the income and expenditure of funds. Information technology which is developing rapidly at this time provides very helpful benefits for the development of a company's information system, especially with the use of computer-based information technology, because by using computer technology in an information system you will be able to process data more quickly with lower error rates. minimal and saves time. The procedures that will be processed consist of the administration section and the finance section. If there is an income or expenditure of money or funds, the data can simultaneously be entered into the computer and will automatically influence or add to the existing data in the company. In this way, the condition of the money or funds in the company can be known with certainty and accuracy.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing technologies has introduced new security challenges due to the distributed, heterogeneous, and dynamic nature of these environments. Conventional static security mechanisms, such as rulebased authentication and fixed trust models, are often inadequate for addressing evolving threats and abnormal behaviors in largescale IoT systems. To overcome these limitations, this study proposes a machine learningbased trust evaluation framework for enhancing security in distributed IoT environments. The proposed approach dynamically assesses the trustworthiness of IoT nodes by analyzing behavioral and interactionbased features collected at the edge layer. Machine learning models are trained to classify nodes into trusted and malicious categories and continuously update trust values in response to changing network conditions. Based on the predicted trust levels, adaptive security decisions are enforced to allow or restrict node participation in data sharing and computation processes. A quantitative experimental evaluation is conducted using simulated distributed IoT scenarios that include both normal and malicious behaviors. The performance of the proposed framework is evaluated using standard metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1score, and detection effectiveness, and is compared against conventional static trust and rulebased security mechanisms. The results demonstrate that the proposed machine learningbased trust evaluation approach achieves significantly higher detection accuracy and robustness while maintaining low computational overhead. Overall, the findings confirm that integrating machine learning into trust management provides an effective and scalable solution for securing distributed IoT systems under dynamic and adversarial conditions.

Abstract

Durenan Road in Trenggalek Regency is classified as a primary arterial road that plays a critical role in inter-city connectivity but is prone to pavement deterioration due to high traffic volumes, especially from heavy vehicles. This study aims to evaluate the extent of pavement damage using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method and propose suitable maintenance strategies. A quantitative research approach was adopted by conducting a visual field survey along a 1-kilometer road section, divided into ten 100-meter segments. Data were collected on types of damage, severity levels, and dimensions, followed by calculations of damage density, deduct value (DV), total deduct value (TDV), and corrected deduct value (CDV) to determine the PCI for each segment. Results showed common damage types such as potholes, alligator cracking, and patching, with varying severity. The average PCI value was 52, categorized as “Fair,” while the lowest segment recorded a PCI of 22, classified as “Very Poor.” The study recommends periodic maintenance including crack sealing, pothole repair, and light overlay for deteriorated segments. Improvements to roadside drainage systems are also advised to prevent water-related damage. The PCI method proved effective in assessing pavement conditions and prioritizing road maintenance actions in a structured and data-driven manner. Abstrak Jalan Durenan di Kabupaten Trenggalek merupakan jalan arteri primer yang vital sebagai penghubung antar kota, namun mengalami kerusakan akibat tingginya volume lalu lintas, terutama kendaraan berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat kerusakan perkerasan jalan menggunakan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI) serta memberikan rekomendasi penanganan yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei visual lapangan terhadap segmen jalan sepanjang 1 km yang dibagi menjadi 10 segmen, dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan Density, Deduct Value (DV), Total Deduct Value (TDV), dan Corrected Deduct Value (CDV) untuk memperoleh nilai PCI masing-masing segmen. Hasil menunjukkan jenis kerusakan dominan berupa lubang, retak acak, dan tambalan dengan tingkat keparahan bervariasi. Nilai PCI rata-rata adalah 52 yang masuk kategori “Sedang (Fair)”, dengan segmen terburuk mencapai nilai 22. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disarankan dilakukan pemeliharaan rutin seperti penambalan, pengisian retak, dan rehabilitasi ringan berupa overlay pada segmen dengan kerusakan signifikan. Selain itu, sistem drainase juga perlu ditingkatkan untuk mencegah kerusakan berulang akibat genangan air. Metode PCI terbukti efektif dalam mengevaluasi kondisi jalan dan membantu penentuan prioritas perbaikan infrastruktur secara tepat guna.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technology has transformed how organizations manage human resource training. PT Bisnis Digital Ekonomi (BDE), through its HR Master Division, conducted 16 webinar series with 2,851 participants between July 2025 and February 2026; however, all administrative processes were managed manually across disconnected platforms including Zoom, Google Drive, and spreadsheets, resulting in fragmented knowledge assets and operational inefficiency. This study aims to design and develop an integrated web-based webinar management and Digital Library system for the HR Master Division using the Waterfall method. Data were collected through direct observation and semi-structured interviews with two division staff members. The system was built using PHP Laravel with MVC architecture and MySQL database, supporting four user roles: Super Admin, HR Master Admin, Trainer, and Employee. Black Box Testing across 24 test scenarios yielded a 100% success rate with no critical bugs detected. The system successfully consolidates webinar scheduling, participant registration, digital attendance, material archiving, and report export into a single platform accessible via hrmasterid.com, eliminating cross-platform fragmentation. This study contributes a replicable integrated training information system model for corporate HR divisions facing similar knowledge management challenges.
