Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of baglog waste residue and biochar compost on soil chemical properties and the growth of pak choy (Brasicca rapa L.). The pot experiment used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a 4x4 factorial pattern with 3 replications. Variables observed in the research included plant height, number of leaves, root length, plant fresh weight, root fresh weight, soil pH, CEC, K, Ca and Mg. number of leaves, root length, plant fresh weight, root fresh weight, soil pH, CEC, K, Ca and Mg. Observation data were tabulated and analyzed using analysis of variance (Anova) in a completely randomized design. Next, it was tested further using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with a significance level of 5%. The soil chemical parameters analyzed are: Potassium (Bray I Method), Calcium and Magnesium (MSS), Cation Exchange Capacity (Distillation, Ammonium acetate at pH 7), soil pH (with a pH meter). The results of the research showed that the treatment of L2 mushroom baglog waste (50% soil: 50% baglog waste) and B2 biochar compost (50% biochar compost: 50% soil) could improve soil chemical properties such as soil pH, CEC, K, Ca, Mg and growth. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the best dosage of biochar and goat manure on the growth and yield of rice beans (Vigna umbellata.) and to determine the interaction between the administration of biochar and goat manure on the growth and yield of rice beans (Vigna umbellata.). This study used a two-factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors, namely: the first factor is biochar consisting of 3 levels: biochar 5 tons/ha, biochar 10 tons/ha, and biochar 15 tons/ha. The second factor is goat manure consisting of 3 levels, namely: goat manure 5 tons/ha, goat manure 10 tons/ha, and goat manure 15 tons/ha. Based on the treatment levels used, 9 combinations were obtained which were repeated 5 times so that there were 45 experimental units. The results of the variance analysis showed a significant interaction between the treatment of biochar and goat manure on the length of pods and the number of seeds per plant, but had no effect on seed weight. The best combination was found at a dose of 15 tons/ha of biochar and 15 tons/ha of goat manure, which produced the highest pod length of 11.70 cm. and the number of seeds (31.40 seeds). These results indicate that the synergy between the two treatments can significantly increase plant yields compared to single treatments. This research demonstrates the value of treatment combinations to increase plant productivity, as well as the need for further exploration for more optimal doses and combinations. Abstract

Manajemen kesehatan ternak merupakan faktor kunci dalam mendukung produktivitas dan keberlanjutan peternakan sapi Bali. Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan sistem manajemen kesehatan ternak pada sapi bali dan menganalisis dampaknya terhadap produktivitas peternakan. Namun, masih terdapat kendala seperti kurangnya kesadaran peternak akan pentingnya pengelolaan kesehatan, keterbatasan akses terhadap fasilitas kesehatan hewan, dan minimnya sumber daya manusia yang terlatih di bidang kesehatan ternak. Upaya pengendalian yang direkomendasikan meliputi peningkatan edukasi peternak, penguatan sistem layanan kesehatan hewan, dan penerapan biosekuriti yang lebih baik.  Dengan manajemen kesehatan yang tepat, produktivitas sapi bali dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan, sehingga mendukung pengembangan peternakan yang berkelanjutan. Dari kegiatan PKL (Praktek kerja lapangan) sosialiasi dan pengobatan pada ternak sapi bali masyrakat Sonis Laloran sudah sadar betapa pentingnya kesehatan dari ternak.

Abstract

Subsidized Fertilizer policy is a strategic policy to encourage increased production and productivity in the agricultural sector. Fertilizer subsidies encourage agricultural specialization and increase agricultural output, and directly affect farmer income, while income can be increased through agricultural productivity from subsidies. This community service was carried out in Gemba Jaya Village, Sintang, West Kalimantan. In obtaining the data used were observation and literature review. This service activity is an effort to implement the subsidized fertilizer policy in Gemba Jaya Village. This effort was motivated by the unmet need for subsidized fertilizer in Gemba Jaya Village, which resulted in suboptimal rice production results. As a form of the author's thoughts, several efforts and breakthroughs have been offered, that is agricultural intensification is an effort made to increase agricultural output by: 1.) Optimizing available agricultural land will focus on efforts to address problems related to land management, 2.) Procurement of superior seeds, planting, fertilizing, 4.) Eradicating pests and diseases in plants, 5.) Harvesting and post-harvest activities to obtain increased rice production.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of sustainable agricultural practices on ecosystem balance and land productivity in Indonesia through a mixed-methods approach. A sample of 500 farmers across diverse regions participated in surveys and field measurements, contributing to a comprehensive analysis. The study reveals varying adoption rates of sustainable practices, with organic farming and agroforestry emerging as prominent choices. Statistical analysis using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) demonstrates significant positive relationships between sustainable practices and ecosystem indicators, including biodiversity, soil health, and crop yields. Regional variations highlight the context-specific nature of these practices. The findings carry implications for policy formulation, extension services, and the promotion of sustainable agriculture in Indonesia.

Abstract

The use of liquid fertilizers based on local microorganisms offers a sustainable solution for enhancing soil fertility and maize production. This study provides a comprehensive literature review of 11 Scopus-indexed articles to examine the effects of these fertilizers on soil health and crop yield. The findings reveal significant improvements in soil organic matter, microbial diversity, and nutrient availability, alongside enhanced maize growth parameters such as germination, biomass accumulation, and grain yield. Despite the variability in results due to environmental factors and application methods, these fertilizers demonstrate the potential to reduce dependency on synthetic inputs and align with sustainable agricultural practices. Challenges related to scalability, economic feasibility, and long-term impacts necessitate further research to optimize their implementation in diverse agricultural settings.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi model-model agroforestri tradisional dan analisis vegetasi yang terdapat diwilayah dataran rendah Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara yang terbagi di tiga Desa yakni Desa Manumean, Desa Upfaon, dan Desa Nansean. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif eksploratif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Plot ukur yang dibangun dalam penelitian ini ditentukan secara purposive sampling berdasarkan komposisi tanaman penyusun yang di temukan diwilayah dataran rendah Kabupaten TTU, dengan ukuran 20x20 meter atau seluas 400 m2 berbentuk bujur sangkar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga model agroforestri tradisional yakni agrosilvopastura poan, agrsilvikultura kono dan apikultur kono. Analisis vegetasi pada setiap tingkatan model agroforestri, agrosilvopastura poan, INP tertinggi pada tingkat  semai 108%,  pancang 300%, tiang 107%  dan Pohon 160%. Agrsilvikultur kono, INP tertinggi pada tingkat semai 145%, pancang 230%, tiang 172, dan pohon 105%, sedangkan pada model apikultur kono, INP tertinggi pada tingkat semai 89%, pancang 300%, tiang 300%, dan pohon 108%.

Abstract

Agricultural cultivation activities in Sekon Village are limited by soil conditions and water availability which then affects soil fertility and plant growth. Horticultural plants cultivated by the community have yellow-brown leaves, small leaf and stem sizes and stunted growth. Soil conservation strategy that can be implemented in this condition is the use of natural fertilizer (organic material). Meanwhile, water conservation efforts to overcome low water availability can be carried out by regulating watering through the application of a drip irrigation system. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to identify the availability of Ca, Mg, K, Na and KTK in planting media samples after application of biochar compost and cow manure as well as implementation of watering regulations. The results of laboratory analysis show the average contents of Ca, Mg, K and Na respectively, namely 25.59 me 100 g soil-1 (very high), 2.66 me 100 g soil-1 (high), 0.96 me 100 g soil-1 (high) and 0.16 me 100 g soil-1 (low). The average KTK is 38.02 me 100 g soil-1 and is classified as high.Key-words: cations, planting media, soil and water conservationINTISARIKegiatan budidaya pertanian di Desa Sekon dibatasi dengan kondisi tanah dan ketersediaan air yang kemudian mempengaruhi kesuburan tanah serta pertumbuhan tanaman. Tanaman hortikultura yang dibudidayakan masyarakat memiliki warna daun yang kuning-kecokelatan, ukuran   daun dan batang yang kecil serta pertumbuhannya kerdil. Strategi konservasi tanah yang dapat dilakukan pada kondisi ini yaitu penggunaan pupuk alami (bahan organik). Sedangkan upaya konservasi air yang dilakukan dalam mengatasi ketersediaan air yang rendah dapat dilakukan dengan pengaturan penyiraman melalui aplikasi penggunaan sistem irigasi tetes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan mengidentifikasi ketersediaan Ca, Mg, K dan Na serta KTK pada sampel media tanam setelah aplikasi kompos biochar dan pupuk kandang sapi serta penerapan pengaturan penyiraman. Hasil analisis laboratorium menunjukkan rata-rata kandungan Ca, Mg, K dan Na berturut-turut yaitu 25,59 me 100 g tanah-1 (sangat tinggi), 2,66 me 100 g tanah-1 (tinggi), 0,96 me 100 g tanah-1 (tinggi) dan 0,16 me 100 g tanah-1 (rendah). Rata-rata KTK sebesar rata-rata  38,02 me 100 g tanah-1 dan tergolong  tinggi.Kata kunci: kation, konservasi tanah dan air, media tanam

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the best organic fertilizer and its response and interaction in applying organic fertilizer and biochar on the growth of rice bean plants. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors consisting of 6 levels and 3 replications. factors namely the first factor of organic fertilizer namely: control (P0), guano 15 tons/ha (P1), and cow dung 15 tons/ha (P2). The second factor is biochar (B) namely 5 tons/ha (B2), 10 tons/ha (B3), and 15 tonnes/ha (B5). The results of the research showed that applying 15 tons/ha of guano fertilizer and 10 tons/ha of biochar had an authentic influence on the growth parameters of plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter. The type of fertilizer, sometimes cattle 15 tons/ha and biochar 15 tons/ha, significantly affects plant height and stem diameter parameters.Keywords: Guano fertilizer, manure, biocharINTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik yang terbaik dan respon serta interaksinya  pada aplikasi pupuk organik dan biochar terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kacang nasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan dua faktor yang terdiri dari 6 taraf dan 3 ulangan. faktor yakni faktor pertama pupuk organik yakni : kontrol (P0), guano 15 ton/ha (P1) dan kotoran sapi 15 ton/ha (P2). Faktor kedua  biochar (B) yakni 5 ton/ha ( B2), 10 ton/ha (B3) dan 15 ton/ha (B5). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan pemberian pupuk guano 15 ton/ha dan biochar 10 ton/ha memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun  diameter batang. Abstract

Untuk mengetahui kombinasi perlakuan media tanam dan interval penyiraman yang tepat untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy di lahan kering Desa Sekon Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara.Penelitian di laksanakan pada rumah kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Timor pada bulan juni sampai oktober 2022 dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yakni Faktor pertama kombinasi media tanam (M) terdiri dari tiga taraf yakni M0=100% tanah entisol, M1=75% tanah entisol : 25% biochar+Pks dan M2 = 50% tanah entisol : 50% biochar+Pks. Faktor kedua interval penyiraman terdiri dari 3 taraf yakni V0=Interval penyiraman rutin pagi dan sore, V1= Interval penyiraman rutin 2 hari sekali pagi dan sore, dan V2= Interval penyiraman rutin 4 hari sekali pagi dan sore, sehingga terdapat 36 unit percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan kombinasi 75% tanah entisol : 25% biochar+PKS dengan interval penyiraman rutin pagi dan sore memberikan hasil yang terbaik.
